"No!" said Conelly as she ran out of the house and stood before the three.
"Conelly!" said Reggie with a panicked expression. However, everyone was suddenly surprised when her key started glowing, causing the skeleton to stop its attack as the light increased.
"I knew it," said Never as a creepy smile grew across his face. When the light faded, it was revealed that Conelly had a set of heavy armor on and a large shield in hand.
"Where did all of this come from?" asked a shocked Conelly.
"It came from Twelve's totem," said Never while pointing at her.
"Her key has the power to give others their own abilities by creating a new totem," he said as Conelly found a key on a necklace under her armor.
"I didn't know that," said Reggie as she looked at her key.
"And it's exactly what I need to change this world!" said Never while rushing forward with his arm held out.
"Keep your hands off her!" said Conelly as she hit Never with her shield, sending him flying back toward the skeleton which caught him.
"I won't let anyone touch my girl!" she said while slamming the shield down on the ground and standing before Twelve and the others. This also caused Twelve to blush slightly and the other two to look at her with smug grins.
"Something you want to talk about, Twelve?" asked Todd.
"Yeah, we're all ears," said Esther.
"Shut it," said Twelve while punching both of them in the side of their stomachs.
"Why do you all keep fighting me?!" asked Never who had managed to get back to his feet but was using his staff for some support while a light flowed through his body.
"I just want to make a world where no kids have to ever grow up!" he said.
"And I hate to say it, but I don't think that's the right way to do things," said Twelve while taking a step foward.
