I can't believe it's been a few weeks since the whole ordeal. It feels like a lifetime ago already. But things are starting to go back to normal, or as normal as things can be for me and the guardians.

I'm sitting in the cockpit with my headphones on, listening to some tunes. Rocket comes up behind me and taps my shoulder. "Hey, we got some work to do on the ship's system today. You up for it?"

I nod, taking off my headphones. "Sure thing, Rocket. What do you need me to do?" I'm always happy to help out when it comes to the ship. It's become a home away from home for me.

Rocket explains what needs to be done and we get to work. As we work together, Rocket makes small talk, asking me about how I'm doing since everything happened. Surprisingly, I feel comfortable talking to him about it.

He tells me that he's happy to have me back, that he considers me family and that there's nothing for me to be forgiven for. It makes me feel warm inside knowing that Rocket doesn't hold any grudges against me.

After a while, we finish up and step back to admire our handiwork. "Not bad, dumb-dumb," Rocket jokes, nudging me with his elbow.

I laugh, "Hey, I'll take that as a compliment coming from you."

We walk out of the cockpit, heading towards the rest of the team. As we walk, Rocket puts an arm around my shoulder. It feels good to have my friend back.
