"Farewell, my love," Serenity couldn't stop thinking about how he had said it. She was falling in love with him even harder every day. Serenity lay on her bed, trying to sleep but unable to do so. So, she decided to go and get something to eat.

She took a piece of candy from the sweets box and put it into her mouth. It tasted delicious, but she decided to save it since Endymion had given it to her.

"Endymion is probably thinking about me right now," whispered Serenity while trying to keep quiet so her mother wouldn't suspect she was staying up late.

Then something creaked, the sound was coming from her balcony. She became frightened and started to gather pillows to attack the person who was trying to come and presumably kidnap her. The climbing sounds became louder and she became more terrified with each passing second. She heard a familiar voice; it was Endymion's!

"Sere! It is just me." Endymion then climbed up to the balcony

"Why did you come, Endy?"

"I was thinking about you all night, so I sneaked here to see you." Endymion replied lovingly.

"Me too… I just couldn't sleep because I've been thinking so hard about you." Endymion then walked into her room; it smelled very floral, just like she did. He then saw the photos of her.

"Serenity, you looked so cute as a baby." Endymion chuckled.

"Eh... Thank you!!" said blushing Serenity. Serenity then lay on the bed. Endymion also lay down on the bed with her and turned his head towards her.

"I hope you don't mind me lying down on your bed." Endymion was only wearing a white shirt with sleeves and black slacks, while Serenity wore her silky nightgown.

"Let's get under the sheets," Endymion whispered to Serenity. "I want to tell you something." Endymion then pulled the blanket over them, covering both of them. Serenity was resting on his shoulder, hugging him tightly around his waist.

"What did you want to tell me, Endy?" she asked lovingly.

Endymion looked towards the woman and kissed her cheek, "You know how I mentioned having a brother? Well, his name is Arthur and like I said, he's my older brother. You need to stay away from him, he's a dangerous man."

"But how is he a dangerous man?" Serenity kissed back to Endymion.

"He has done lots of things that a commoner would have been severely punished for. He frequently tries to find a wife but can't, so he tries to steal many of the gentleman's ladies, including mine who I used to date. He is probably going to try and manipulate you, so don't go near him." scoffed Endymion before hugging her tightly.

"I would never be interested in another man anyway." Serenity touched his face and he did the exact same thing.

"Serenity, do you want to see a magic trick?" Before Serenity could nod, Endymion kissed her with full passion. Serenity wrapped her arms around his neck tightly as he hugged her waist. His lips felt so soft against hers; she had been wanting this since she was a teenager. They then parted.

"Sere, do you want me to stay here while you sleep?" queried Endymion.

"Yes, I feel like I cannot sleep without you here." Endymion then cuddled up to her side, holding her waist, waiting for her to fall asleep.

He had never felt any love in his life until now; he wanted to protect her very badly. He might have to go to war soon due to recent conflicts across Europe. The invasion of Poland and various other countries in Europe by Germany was reported in the newspapers. He did not want to leave her at all, but he had a feeling he would have to go to war. With the United Kingdom possibly declaring war on Germany, he started to fall asleep.

Serenity woke up to find Endymion gone; there was a note on the sheets. It said that he had to leave because his parents would suspect him for his absence. She wanted to marry him, but she needed to get her mother's approval. She would never allow herself to get married to another man other than Endymion; he was everything to her. She then got ready for the day and walked out of the door only to be stopped by her friends.

"Serenity, we know your relationship with Endymion." Rei said with annoyance.

"How did you know?" hissed Serenity.

"Well, Mina showed the picture of you and Endymion kissing!" effused Makoto

"Endymion," Serenity was cut off by Ami.

"Seriously, you know the consequences of dating a man like him," noted Ami.

"Yes, and if anyone finds out, all the other women who have loved him will feel jealous." replied Serenity.

"But Sere! We are here because we are going to see a jazz performance." Mina exclaimed.

Serenity nodded. "Then let's go!" Serenity and her friends went outside and got into the car. When they arrived at the theater, Serenity saw Arthur standing outside. He glanced at her before looking away. Endymion had told her to stay away from him, so she didn't approach him. When they entered the theater, Serenity remained close to Makoto. Makoto was the strongest, and if anyone tried to mess with her friends, she would beat their asses. Serenity watched as the jazz performance began. She listened to the singer sing the song and the orchestra play. She thought about the previous night, when Endymion had come to her room secretly and made her fall asleep. His warmth and love for her made her feel better as a person. The performance ended, and she and her friends left the theater.

"That performance was amazing!" Minako exclaimed joyfully. They were waiting for their chauffeur. Serenity then looked at Arthur. Arthur stood near the telephone booth, his hair reaching his shoulders, wearing glasses. He almost resembled Endymion in her eyes. She thought he looked like a detective with that trench coat on.

Serenity and the girls jumped into the car. They went to various different places to shop until it was late. She bought only a vinyl because she wasn't interested in buying anything else other than a vinyl.

Serenity was dropped off at her house. She walked up the steps while the car drove away. Her mother must have been sleeping or high on opium, ever since her father's death. Serenity tried to open the door with her keys, but someone snapped their fingers. She turned around to see Arthur; she was in shock.

"Miss Ingram, I want to tell you something that is important." Bellowed the ominous man.

"Go ahead," Serenity replied.

Arthur approached her and stopped so she could hear him better. "You know how Endymion had slept with some of the women? He used to date and sleep with this one lady named Beryl. I think you should stay away from her, she's madly obsessed with your man." mumbled Arthur. Why was he telling her this? Did he want his own brother's relationship to go well?

"Thank you for telling me," Arthur said, then nodded at her and left.

She didn't know why he was helping her out instead of flirting with her. She knew Beryl, though she had never spoken to her. She had seen her at the ball and heard her loudly comment on every lady outside her friend group and say mean things about them. But she would do anything to protect her man from her.
