I couldn't believe what was happening. I thought I had left all the torture and pain behind when I fled my planet. But here I was, trapped on Earth, in a cell. My mind was racing, trying to come up with a plan to escape.
I closed my eyes and tried to calm my thoughts, when suddenly I felt my powers flaring up again. The blue energy that had been dormant for so long now surged through my body. I flung my arms out, and with a burst of energy, the cell door flew open.
I didn't know what to expect outside, but what I found was a group of people standing before me. They were the Avengers, the same team as the Guardians of the Galaxy, who I had once crossed paths with.
Tony Stark, otherwise known as Iron Man, rolled his eyes and muttered something about "another alien problem." But Captain America, Natasha Romanoff, and some of the others seemed curious about me.
I was a bit defensive at first, given that I had just been flung onto this planet against my will. But Captain America seemed to sense that something wasn't quite right. He asked me what had happened to me, how I had ended up in the pod that caused our ship to crash here on Earth.
I cautiously explained my story, unsure if it was safe to trust these strangers. But as I spoke, I realized that they were genuinely interested in helping me. They didn't judge me or dismiss me as a threat, like I had feared they might.
Eventually, Captain America must have determined that I wasn't a danger to them. He unlocked my cell, and I was free to go. I felt a glimmer of hope for the first time since being stranded on Earth.
I didn't know what the future held for me on this strange new planet, but at least now I had a group of powerful people on my side. And who knows, maybe I could even help them out with their own alien problems. After all, I am Jake, and I have powers unlike anything they've ever seen before
