Chapter 1: Healed Wounded Hearts

Byakuya had tossed & turned for nearly over an hour as he couldn't sleep. He just had a dream about him & one of his lieutenants dating. Byakuya was confused as he sat up. It was only eleven o'clock as Byakuya sighed. He grabbed his bathrobe & walked out of his room. He noticed that a few soul reapers have their lights & TV on still. Byakuya shook his head as he didn't mind it much. He walked into his secret prayer room as he made sure nobody was behind him. He closed & locked the door as he lit some candles & opened the shrine that revealed Hisana's photo. Byakuya sat on the pillow as he sighed.

"My dearest, Hisana, I know you're wondering why I'm up and talking to you again, but I can't sleep. And I know I have already spoken to you but…..I believe I may be in love with one of my lieutenants…..Oh god…Hisana I'm extremely sorry! I really am. I do love you, I really do…..but….this….this feeling…..isn't going away and everytime I see…him…I just….get really….….blushy." Byakuya said to the photo as one of the candles blew out. Byakuya looked back at Hisana's photo as he began to tear up.

"Please forgive me, my love. I'm deeply sorry." Byakuya blew out the candles as he stood up. He kissed his two fingers & placed them on Hisana's lips & closed the shrine. He walked out as he sighed.

Renji turned as he saw his captain & walked up to him. Byakuya noticed as he gasped & wiped his tears away.

"Whoa, captain, are you okay?" Renji asked as he jumped through the rail & lifted up Byakuya's chin.

Byakuya's eyes were filled with tears running down from his cheek. Some of his hair was covering his left eye as Byakuya looked away.

"Renji, please forgive me. I'm sorry you had to see me like this…I'm just…..so confused with something….that I can't explain…." Byakuya explained to Renji as he broke down crying. He tugged onto Renji.

Renji didn't know what to say as he had never seen his captain cry before. He rubbed his back as he looked around. It was very quiet & some soul reapers were walking out of the kitchen & heading back to their rooms. Renji smiled & lifted up Byakuya's chin again. Facing Renji as Byakuya gasped & looked away, shutting his eyes.

"Captain, why don't we get some ice cream and brownies? I know you don't like sweets but-" Renji looked at Byakuya as he saw his captain nodding.

"Y-Yes please….Renji…..I would love to have those….I don't mind…" Byakuya said as he wiped his tears away.

Renji smiled & held onto his captain's wrist & the two walked into the kitchen. Renji turned on the light as Byakuya sat down & waited for his lieutenant to get the ice cream & brownies. Byakuya looked over as he saw Rukia & Rangiku running cutely to Rangiku's room. Byakuya watched them as he looked up as Renji came back with the sweets.

"Here you go, captain. I hope this isn't too much for you." Renji said as he sat both of the sweets to Byakuya & himself as he sat across from him.

Byakuya nodded as he ate the brownie first. He nodded as he looked at Renji. Renji smiled at him as he ate some of the ice cream. Byakuya gulped as he wanted to ask Renji a question.

"Renji….may I ask…? Aren't you in a relationship with Rukia?" Byakuya asked his lieutenant as he looked away.

"Oh…actually captain, we're just friends now. I'm single now. I don't mind though. Rukia is too good for me." Renji said as he ate the ice cream.

Byakuya nodded as he sighed. "Renji…what if there is…..someone…who likes you….?" Byakuya asked as he stared into Renji's eyes.

Renji tilted his head as he swallowed the ice cream. "Ummm, who captain? I'm not really looking for a relationship right now." Renji said as he ate the brownie.

Byakuya sighed as he stood up. Putting his hands on the table & gripping onto Renji's shirt & pulling him close to Byakuya's face.

"Renji, it's me. Me. I like like you. More than a friend." Byakuya said as he told Renji with a fierce look on his face. Trying to fight back his tears again.

Renji blinked as Byakuya let go of him. "Whoa, captain. To be honest, I didn't really think that you wanted to date because you lost your wife. But you…..like me….?" Renji said as he gulped as he slowly stood up.

Byakuya sighed as he rubbed his forehead. "Forget it. You probably think I'm weird as shit now. Just forget it, Renji. Please." Byakuya sighed as he let his tears fall.

Renji sighed as he walked up to his captain & lifted up his chin. Byakuya looked Renji into his eyes. Renji leaned to Byakuya's face & kissed him. Byakuya's eyes widened as he closed his eyes. He was thinking that he was dreaming. This is all real & becoming real. None of it is a dream any more. Renji pulled back & smiled at Byakuya. Byakuya slowly opened his eyes & looked at Renji.

"Why'd you stop….? I…..I want….Renji….I…want you….." Byakuya said as he gulped & looked away.

Renji grinned as he helped Byakuya up & carried him bridal style. "I thought you'd never ask, captain. Let's take you to your room.~" Renji said as he walked to Byakuya's room.

Byakuya held onto Renji as he looked around making sure no one was watching them. It was quiet, dark, & empty. Some lights had been turned off but the TVs were still on. Renji reached Byakuya's room as he used his foot to kick the door open.

"Forgive me, captain. I had to do that because…look." Renji said as he set Byakuya down & turned on the light.

Byakuya gasped as his room had red LED lights hung around his room. Fake black & red flower petals all over the floor & on Byakuya's bed. Red, Black, White, & Pink candles were lit up on each nightstand. Byakuya looked at Renji as he tilted his head.

"Wait, when did you decorate my room, Renji?" Byakuya asked him as he gulped.

Renji grinned as he closed & locked the door as he walked up to Byakuya. Byakuya blushed as he couldn't hide it any more.

"Let's just say, when you were in your praying room, I came in here with Izaya and decorated this. I actually have always liked you captain, but I had to hide my feelings when I was with Rukia. But Izaya knew and gave me advice. Besides, I don't think your deceased wife will mind being with me, right~?" Renji asked his captain as he lifted Byakuya's chin again & passionately kissed Byakuya.

Byakuya rolled his eyes back as he was pinned to the wall. He closed his eyes as he put his arms around Renji's neck & kissed him harder. Renji slid his tongue inside Byakuya as Byakuya finally let out a moan. Both fighting for dominance as we all know that Byakuya is a power bottom. Renji pulled back as he licked his lips & grinned at Byakuya.

Byakuya groaned as he scooted to the pillows & let Renji be in control. "Wait…..Izaya told me that when doing it, we must wear protection. Do you have any, Renji? I wish to be safe.~" Byakuya asked Renji as he slowly undressed himself. Revealing his chest to Renji.

"I always do captain. I always make sure that we're safe. Now then." Renji stopped Byakuya from undressing himself as he looked at him.

"Wait…..Captain, have you done this before? You're literally undressing yourself in front of me…~ It's really fucking hot, not going to lie.~" Renji said as he licked his lips & grinned.

"I had my free time, to be honest. And Renji, when doing so, I be thinking of you. And you only, Renji.~" Byakuya said as he confessed to his lieutenant.

Renji licked his lips as he helped Byakuya undress. Byakuya finally smiled at Renji as he too helped Renji undress also. Now both men were in their boxers as Renji went to the closet & took out a box of adult toys. Byakuya watched Renji as he tilted his head.

"What are those, Renji? Do we use them while doing it?" Byakuya asked Renji as he watched him take out a few of them.

"Renji, how are we going to tell the others…..? I mean…I'm afraid they'll look at us very differently now…" Byakuya said as he sighed.

Renji stood up & walked over to the window. Not caring that he's naked. Byakuya gulped & walked up to him. Renji smiled at him.

"See them? Captain Aizen and Shinji have been dating each other ever since Aizen got back to the soul society as a captain and asked out Shinji. They never went public with their relationship, they just held hands in front of us and we just said 'Understandable. Have a good day.' Remember~?" Renji said as he smiled.

Byakuya nodded as he saw Yoruichi & SoiFong walking. The two were so busy looking at each other that they didn't even notice that Renji & Byakuya were at the window looking at them.

"And what about them?" Byakuya asked Renji as he saw the two ladies walking into the kitchen.

"Oh, they've been dating for a really long time. I'm honestly surprised that they're not even married yet. It'll be super sweet if they were though.~" Renji said as he chuckled.

Byakuya nodded & looked at Renji. "So, if we held hands…you don't think anyone will mind?" Byakuya asked Reni as he teared up.

Renji hugged Byakuya & kissed his cheek. "I don't think they will. Izaya is very supportive of his friends and family. He'll be thrilled to see that you're dating again. Rukia will be too. Byakuya, I'm sure everyone will, okay~? If they have a problem with it then they can hit the bricks.~" Renji said as he laughed.

Byakuya giggled a bit as he looked up at Renji & kissed him. "Let's take a shower, Renji. Then we can cuddle." Byakuya said as he walked to the bathroom.

Renji grinned as he grabbed some change of clothes as well did Byakuya & the two headed into the bathroom to take a quick shower. Then when they were done. Renji blew out all of the candles as Byakuya changed the LED lights to the regular lights. They both swept the fake petals off Byakuya's bed, closed the blinds, & laid in bed. Renji turned off the light as Byakuya turned on the lamp.

"I love you Renji…..~ I hope I'm not moving too fast for you…" Byakuya said as he sighed.

Renji kissed Byakuya's cheek as he smiled at him. "You're not. This is very normal. You're very special to me, Byakuya. Don't let anyone change you." Renji said as he smiled at him.

Byakuya smiled at him as the two kissed each other one more time & they both cuddled each other. Byakuya yawned as he had fallen asleep. It took Renji another five minutes as he too had fallen asleep. Cuddling his new lover as Byakuya had a smile on his face.

Sorry Renji x Rukia shippers but this is my NEW ship now. I mean it's literally been around for a long time if y'all go on YouTube & Google & look up Renji x Byakuya fan arts & fan fictions so yeah but Renji x Rukia is cute too but I prefer Renji x Byakuya, now.….. ;) Not sorry.
