Author's note: My week was a bit shitty, so I decided to be self-indulgent once more and write a sequel to "Boss' Schedule". Why? Because I needed some nice distraction. Other updates should normally happen this weekend as well!
Warnings: Dual pov, Karin's and Sasuke's; Alternate universe; A/B/O dynamics; Alpha Sasuke; Alpha rut; implied mature content; Sakura definitely not getting what she wants; humour; sort of NOT FOR SAKURA FANS!
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. Kishimoto owns it.
I hope you'll like this sequel!
How to Liven up an Office
There was this saying that you should never give up, which was a pretty good one to live by – up to a certain point at least. Sometimes not giving up was the stupidest thing you could do. For example, persisting in trying to ask someone out who wasn't interested at all: that was stupid and it would be far better for everyone involved, including the asker's dignity, to simply give up. Lick the wounds in private and all that.
Karin found herself musing about this when she saw Haruno making a beeline for her desk. She stifled a sigh, plastering a polite smile on her face, though frankly she didn't know why she still bothered being polite. Perhaps she should take up Ino's example and see if scowling would work better in discouraging Haruno?
No wait, that was what their boss did and clearly that shtick didn't work on the pink haired woman.
"Hello, Karin-san, it's a nice day, don't you think?" Haruno chirped, leaning her hip against the edge of the desk as she not so subtly tried to take a peek at Karin's screen.
Even if Karin hadn't turned her screen away from prying eyes, it wasn't as if Haruno would catch anything interesting. As soon as she had seen her approaching, she had minimised the window containing Sasuke's planning.
"It's definitely a nice day," Karin agreed, glancing outside to see the sun soaking everything with its heat.
The blinds had been lowered halfway already, trying to keep the sun glare at the screens to a minimum. That and not everybody wanted to feel like they were being cooked alive if they happened to sit straight in the middle of the sun beam.
"You know," Haruno started in a conspiratorial voice, "People are saying the boss isn't staying that long at the office anymore lately, is that true?"
"Which boss exactly?" Karin smiled sweetly, twirling her pen between her fingers. "We have two, remember?"
Haruno pursed her lips for a couple of seconds before she went back to smiling. "Sasuke-kun, of course," she answered with a little giggle.
God, if Karin had ever acted like this when she had still been younger, she would like to apologise to everyone she had ever annoyed.
"Well, that depends on what you consider not long, of course," Karin said neutrally.
It honestly surprised her that it had taken Haruno this long to notice the change – insignificant as it might be to others. For the last couple of months, Sasuke had indeed stopped working a bit earlier than he normally would. It wasn't that much earlier by any stretch, but he had gone from easily working until eight, nine, sometimes even ten in the evening, to locking up his office around seven to seven thirty. Still late to some, but quite early for the workaholic that was their boss.
Haruno gave her a meaningful look. "They've been saying that they've seen him leave around seven – I think we can all agree that such an hour is particularly early for Sasuke-kun."
Karin could indeed agree with that, but did Haruno have to use such a familiar way to refer to Sasuke when she was anything but close to him? As far as Karin knew, it wasn't as if those two had grown up together or had even shared classes together.
"Is there a particular reason why you are here? I'm a bit busy, you see," Karin smiled politely.
"Well," Haruno drawled, idly twirling a piece of her cotton pink hair around her finger, "not only is everyone noticing how he has stopped working so late, but also that he's been taking more days off."
"So?" Karin raised an eyebrow, not understanding what this had to do with Haruno's unexpected visit to her desk. Didn't she have her own work to do?
"I was thinking," Haruno leant closer to her, smiling as if they both shared the same secret, "considering that you have his schedule and all, whether you could tell me when Sasuke-kun has his next - "
An unknown male voice piped up, interrupting her. "I'm sorry, is this Sasuke's office?"
Both Karin and Haruno looked at the new addition in surprise. The man possessed one of the brightest shades of blond hair that Karin had ever witnessed on someone and she worked with both Ino and Deidara. His eyes were a pretty bright blue, which were glistening as he grinned at them. He was dressed in a casual jeans jacket, a deep orange T-shirt and frayed light blue jeans, making it extremely doubtful that he was a businessman – unless he worked in an office where they were very loose with their dress etiquette.
He was quite pretty, to be honest, and Karin couldn't help but discreetly check him over. Would a guy like him still be single? It was somewhat doubtful, but miracles could happen, right?
"How do you know Sasuke-kun?" Haruno questioned, somewhat rudely if Karin might add.
The man smiled somewhat bemused. "I know him because he's my boyfriend."
One beat. Two beats. Three beats.
Haruno recovered from her shock first. She pointed an accusing finger at him. "There is no way Sasuke-kun is your - "
Her vehement denial was cut off, however, by the door of Sasuke's office opening. He didn't open it completely, but it was enough for Karin, who sat the closest, to pick up on a peculiar scent wafting from the room. She had smelt it before, she was sure, but where?
Sasuke, in the meantime, was scowling at the blond man, waving him closer with the most impatient gesture Karin had ever seen him using. "There you are, took you long enough!"
"Okay, it didn't take me that long," the blond man said, rolling his eyes, and he strolled right past Karin's desk, approaching Sasuke. "I came here as soon as I could, geez."
Well, the blond man was not lying about his relation to Sasuke at least. The moment he walked past Karin, she had a hard time not noticing just how much he reeked of Sasuke. His Omega scent was completely doused by Sasuke's Alpha scent in a way that couldn't be possible if they were just close friends. She would question why she couldn't smell the Omega on Sasuke, but had to acknowledge that it would be very hard to pick up new scents clinging to Sasuke when the man never stood in close enough proximity to her.
"Not soon enough!" Sasuke snapped and snatched the man by his wrist, literally dragging him inside.
The door slamming shut sent another waft of that odd familiar scent in Karin's direction and it was at that very moment that she realised what it was, promptly reddening.
Alpha scent blockers.
Used when an Alpha went into rut and didn't want to attract any attention to it. It wasn't really talked about much, because usually an Alpha who went into rut was already in a safe space and wouldn't have any need for such blockers. At times it could come in handy if an Alpha happened to find himself stuck somewhere while experiencing a rut. One of Karin's ex-boyfriends in the past had used one after he'd gone into a rut at his parttime job.
Wait …
If her boss had to use scent blockers and he had been expecting his boyfriend … No way. There was no way they were actually going to –
But then she saw the blinds fully closing, shutting off all view in Sasuke's office, and right, well, that made … sense, of course. Did it make sense? Even if it didn't, he was her boss so who was she to say who he could … and couldn't have visiting him in his office?
…
They weren't going to leave the office any time soon, huh?
While Karin was carefully trying to wrap her mind about something that was decidedly not happening between her boss and his pretty boyfriend – not going to think about that at all, very inappropriate! – Haruno still stood there, gaping like a fish on dryland.
"Since when does Sasuke-kun close the blinds when someone is visiting him?" she asked baffled.
Karin stared at her. Did she really not have a single clue what was decidedly not happening between their boss and his boyfriend? She wasn't going to enlighten her, that was for sure. Pretty certain that wasn't in her job description as Sasuke's personal assistant!
The lock of the door to Sasuke's office engaging seemed to echo through the entire floor, making even people hovering around the printer pause and look up.
All righty then! Checking Sasuke's schedule and blocking off his entire afternoon, yes sir!
Suigetsu sidled up to her desk, subtly pushing Haruno out of the way, making her huff and stamp off. Crossing his arms, he grinned and tilted his head questioningly. "So who's the pretty blond talking to Mister Ice, hm?"
…
She should block off the next two days as well. No meetings for her boss in the near future – well, no business meetings anyways!
"What took you so long?" Sasuke demanded tersely, barely remembering to lock the door before he pushed Naruto against it.
"There is this thing called traffic," Naruto answered casually.
To Sasuke's frayed nerves, however, he sounded almost snootily and he snarled lowly, pressing his face into Naruto's neck, where his scent was the strongest. He inhaled deeply; the scent tempering his frustration somewhat.
He hummed quietly when a hand came to cup the back of his head, fingers gliding through his locks, occasionally tugging at them.
"I told you, you should have stayed at home," Naruto reprimanded him.
"I thought I could make it until tonight," Sasuke muttered, nuzzling the hollow underneath Naruto's ear. "I felt fine this morning."
"You might have felt fine, but your scent was telling a completely different story," Naruto snorted, allowing his legs to be spread apart by the impatient Alpha. "Next time listen to me, all right?"
"Yes, yes, I will," Sasuke agreed impatiently, willing to agree to anything if it meant he could keep touching his mate.
All his senses were honed in on the Omega, his scent, his touch, his warmth, his whole body.
"No, you won't," Naruto scoffed amused, bucking his hips when Sasuke slid his hand into his jeans, cupping one arse cheek.
He squeezed the supple flesh, enjoying its fulness and the way it made Naruto press his body flush against Sasuke, a quiet moan slipping out. Naruto's lips started leaving butterfly light kisses in Sasuke's neck, teasing the high strung Alpha, and Sasuke felt his mouth curl up against his neck when Sasuke's fingers slipped between his cheeks.
Encountering a slippery smooth object snuggly fitted inside Naruto's slick entrance.
Sasuke abruptly pulled back, staring at Naruto, who grinned at him.
"So maybe I took a bit longer to arrive here," he said smugly. "But I figured you might appreciate getting straight to the chase."
Naruto had prepared himself.
The thought bounced back and forth in his mind for a short while, his brain short circuiting at that realisation for a moment. Naruto had prepared himself, had stretched himself to take Sasuke, and had travelled all the way to Sasuke's office with a plug in him.
If he had had any shred of self-restraint left, that last piece had flown out of the window entirely by now.
Not even bothering with taking off their shirts, Sasuke made quick work of shoving both their trousers down, releasing Naruto long enough for the man to wiggle out of his jacket, throwing it somewhere to the side. As soon as his arms were free, Sasuke dragged him to the couch Deidara had insisted he needed in his office. "Makes it look a bit more inviting, Sasuke-kun!"
It was definitely inviting enough at this moment with Naruto pressed over its arm, his back to Sasuke and his legs spread wide; some of his slick slowly sliding down his inner thighs, leaving a glistening trail behind. The sight of it had Sasuke honing in on it, dropping abruptly to his knees and grasping Naruto's hips tightly.
"Sasuke, what – oh god!"
A shuddering moan sounded above Sasuke when he licked a long stripe across Naruto's left inner thigh before switching over to his right one, lapping at the thin trail of slick. That only made Naruto's body produce even more slick; the Omega spreading his legs even further. Sasuke would love to keep sitting here and lap up everything Naruto wanted to give him, but he had become too worked up, too filled with the raging heat of his rut to remain patient any longer.
He rose up and grasped the base of the plug, eyeing the way the broad end gradually narrowed into a blunt tip the more he pulled it out of Naruto, making the blond man keen softly, pushing his arse back against Sasuke's hand. Not happy with the way Naruto kept his voice down, he shoved the plug harshly back in him, aiming straight for that particular spot that never failed to make –
Bingo.
Sasuke smiled darkly when Naruto shouted, his body jerking in surprise, as his hand slammed down against the back of the couch, gripping it for support. Grinding the plug directly against his sweet spot, he revelled in the way sweet loud moans kept pouring out of his pretty mate, watching how Naruto's body kept jerking back and away from him, as if he had trouble deciding what he wanted to do most.
Sasuke had no issue making the decision for him.
After one last firm push, he abruptly pulled the plug out, listening to Naruto keen and watching the way his glistening entrance winked, tightening around nothing. The plug – an emerald green one he hadn't seen before – was dumped somewhere on the floor and might even have rolled underneath the couch.
Sasuke didn't care.
All he cared about was listening to Naruto's punched out breath, when he grabbed his right hip with one hand and lined himself up with Naruto's entrance with his other one, shoving himself inside completely without any preamble. The slick, tight heat enveloping him had his eyes nearly rolling back as every nerve in his body sang with pleasure, everything in him urging him to fuck his pretty mate, make it clear for everyone who he belonged to.
He would mark him, both inside and outside, make it known to the world that this beautiful Omega was his and his alone, and anyone who dared to look at him wrong or tried to take him away would pay the price.
He set a brutal pace, fucking into Naruto with long and deep strokes, making sure the blond felt everything. His fingers pinched nipples, feeling them pebble underneath his touch. His lips painted fiery hot kisses in Naruto's neck, marking him for everyone to see. His ears listened to Naruto's broken whimpers whenever he thrusted inside, feeling him clench down around him every time, desperate to keep him inside. He nearly battered that hidden spot of his, listening deliriously how Naruto tried to stifle his noises by burying his face into the couch, but having to give up when the need to breathe became too much.
His voice rang beautifully through the room, his moans and pants and groans like music to Sasuke's ears. He spared a brief moment – no more than two seconds tops – wondering whether these walls were in any way soundproof, before discarding the thought as quickly as it had shown up, deciding it didn't matter.
Let them all know he had the prettiest, sexiest mate of them all. Let them all hear how good he was at making his Omega feel good.
Let them all know who Naruto belonged to.
Karin shut down her laptop at five fifty five and was in the elevator by six o'clock.
The door to Sasuke's office was still firmly closed, like it had been ever since his boyfriend had shown up. Tonight would be the first time she wouldn't wish her boss a good evening.
She thought she would be forgiven for that – and figured that hell, he was probably having a good evening even without her wishing him one!
The End
AN2: I figured this would make for a nice sequel ^^ Sasuke, of course, ignores any knowing looks he receives when he returns to the office the week after that.
