Hello One Piece community! So, this is an idea that had been hanging rent free in my head for a very long time, therefore, I decided to give it a shot and post it here to see where it goes or if I should actually stop. I got into the One Piece fandom after watching the Whole Cake Island Arc and instantly had to research and watch episodes from the anime series. Out of all the arcs, Whole Cake Island is my favorite due to various reasons: reference of beloved fairytales, musical numbers and most importantly, 3. My man Charlotte Katakuri! Don't get me wrong, I find every one of the Charlotte Family intriguing and the dynamic of blood family that unfortunately affected all of the Charlotte siblings under Big Mom's rule. Katakuri was more than just an antagonist, his lore runs much deeper, and I find similarities about myself with him that I consider him my favorite of the Big Mom's pirates. This story idea developed after researching and learning about the world building of One-Piece series that I decided to take a risk and write my story. So yeah, it is an OCxKatauri pairing BUT my OC is tied to the secrets of the Void century so to speak. Therefore, she will be joining the Strawhats pirates later on in the future, that is if the first arc of the story is successful. I am also interested in any co-author that can help me edit and contribute to the story so the position for second in command is open! Because of the character limit in the summary section here is the summary of my story:
Leia has no clue what has happened to her. One moment, she was being chased by her tormentors during a hurricane, the next she wakes up in an Earth that is not hers. Creatures, monsters and magical fruits that can only exist in fairytales are now the reality that she lives in. Now, she must survive in a strange territory called Totto Land, where she meets new friends, dangerous enemies and a kindred soul that is more than meets the eye.
I do not own One Piece plot and characters. But I do own my OCs as well as plot twist. Please enjoy!
Prologue
Leia ran along the desolate beach, her breath ragged, and fear driving her every step. Her large backpack weighed heavily on her shoulders, threatening to slow her down, but she couldn't afford to stop. The storm raged around her, the wind howling and rain pouring down in torrents. Thunder rumbled ominously overhead, adding to the sense of urgency in Leia's desperate flight. She knew that her pursuers were closing in, their relentless determination to capture her causing panic to well up within her. Leia had always had an irrational fear of being locked up, of losing her freedom with no way out. And now, the looming threat of captivity pushed her to her limits. As the massive wave crashed onto the shore, drenching Leia from head to toe, she staggered, her large backpack becoming even more cumbersome and soaked. She felt a sudden wave of sickness wash over her, the weight on her shoulders feeling almost unbearable. She had never understood why being soaked always made her feel this way. But now was not the time for contemplation. The group of men who had been relentlessly chasing Leia finally caught up, their guns pointed at her, their voices blending into a cacophony of shouts demanding her surrender. Leia's emotions surged within her—a mix of grief, anger, sadness, and confusion—adding to the whirlwind of chaos surrounding her.
Just as the situation seemed to reach its breaking point, something mysterious happened. The men's shouts became distorted, as if heard from a great distance, and Leia's vision blurred. A strange humming sound reverberated in the air, growing louder by the second, and a brilliant light began to materialize.Leia's dizziness intensified, and she felt herself being lifted by an unseen force, as though being sucked into a vacuum. The world around her spun with dizzying speed, her body tossed and turned as if caught in a wild, uncontrollable slide. Seconds stretched into an eternity as Leia's consciousness teetered on the edge. Then, abruptly, everything turned black.
Funwari Island
As the storm subsided and the beach regained its peaceful aura, Mabel and her faithful companion, a mink rhino named Jasper, strolled along the shoreline of Funwari Island. The aftermath of the tempest had left a serene and somewhat mystical atmosphere in its wake. Engrossed in conversation, Mabel excitedly shared her plans for a forthcoming get-together party on the island.
Mabel: "Oh, Jasper! I can't wait for the party! It's going to be so much fun!"
Jasper: grumbling "You know how I feel about crowded places, Mabel. I'd rather avoid them if I can."
Mabel: giggling "Come on, Jasper, it won't be that bad! Besides, it's a chance for everyone to come together and enjoy each other's company."
Jasper: sighing "I suppose so, but you know how I prefer the tranquility of nature. Noisy gatherings just aren't my cup of tea."
As they walked, their conversation paused abruptly when Mabel's keen eyes caught sight of something unusual further down the beach. She gasped and took off running toward the object of her curiosity.
Mabel: "Jasper, look! There's someone lying on the beach. They look hurt!"
Jasper: warily "Mabel, be careful! We don't know who that person is or what they might be capable of."
Ignoring his cautious words, Mabel approached the unconscious figure with a mixture of concern and compassion. Jasper reluctantly followed, his steps heavy with caution.
Mabel: kneeling beside Leia "Poor thing, they look so exhausted. We can't just leave them here. We need to get them help."
Jasper: grudgingly "You're right, Mabel. We should take them to the town's doctor. They'll know what to do."
Mabel: nodding "Thank you, Jasper. Let's get them back to town quickly."
With Jasper's strong arms cradling Leia's fragile form, they began their journey back, their words temporarily suspended as they focused on the task at hand. The weight of their unexpected encounter and the mysteries surrounding the unconscious stranger hung in the air, leaving them with a mix of apprehension and curiosity about the events that were about to unfold.
