Chapter : 8 The Viridian Forest

Following day Ash, Misty, Hiro and Akane just wander around a viridian town. There are not many Pokemon trainers in this area. They also find out that Viridian town's Gym is also closed due to Its leader Giovanni also not here at the moment. Both reincarnated trainers know that Giovanni is Team Rocket's leader but they can't tell anyone, and it becomes very suspicious how they know about it. And also Giovanni is a Gym leader so that gives him more power than newly became trainers. So they have to collect some evidence first.

There's not much to do in Town and all four of them just move on in their journey. Soon the sun falls. And with that all four of them returned to the Pokemon center.

The next day all of them are ready to leave the Pokemon center. They greeted Nurse Joy. And took back their Pokemon that they gave her yesterday.

"So, now we are going to Pewter City, right." Akane asked. " Yes, Brock Harrison is Pewter City Gym leader. He uses Rock type Pokemon." Hiro replied. Although both of them know that already. Ash nod at that.

" We are heading towards Root 2 so we can reach Viridian forest and then after crossing Viridian forest we can finally reach Pewter City. But we have to be careful. It's going to take almost a week to reach Pewter City." Akane says. Misty pail a bit at the mention of viridian forest.

" What's wrong, Misty , is something bothering you." Ash aske. "I just don't like bug Pokemon, that's all. And since we are going in the forest I am a bit worried." Misty reply. "So you're afraid of them." Hiro says. " I am not afraid, I just don't like them." Misty reply: I don't want to admit it."don't worry about it. We are also going to be there." Ash replied. " Now I really miss my bicycle. '' Misty says. " It's my fault that you lost your bicycle, so I am going to make sure no bug Pokemon bother you Misty." Ash says and smiles kindly. Misty blush a little but don't say anything.

Then they all start walking towards Viridian forest through Root 2. On their journey they encounter some trainers but Ash, Hiro and Akane take care of them. They are not so strong. All are new trainers just like them. Even none of their Pokemon faint once. They just need to use some Potions.

Soon the Sun will set, so all of them are now near a water pot they found. " We are going to camp out here." Hiro said. "All of you have your camping gear right?." Akane asked. All nod in confirmation.

"Me and Ash are going to set up our camps. Akane and Misty both go and get some firewood." Hiro says. Akane nods and leaves with Misty to collect some firewood.

After Misty and Akane leave, Ash and Hiro start setting up four small camps, each for one. After finishing setting camp Ash and Hiro start pleasing rocks in a circle so they can light fire there. "Hey Hiro, Brock is going to use rock type right. What Pokemon are you going to use?" Ash asks him wanting to know which Pokemon Hiro is going to use.

"You Brock uses 2v2 against new trainer like us. And i currently only has Aqua and khalasi. So i am going to use them." Hiro reply. "Aqua gonna shine in the Gym and not just because it's Shiny. " Ash said he was trying to make a joke, and he succeeded because Hiro laughed at that.

"So Ash do you have any plans what are you going to do in Gym?" Hiro ask. "I have to catch my second Pokemon first and since in the Viridian forest I can only find bugs and some flying types. They both are weak against Rock type. That means I have to train even harder than you and Akane to win in Pewter City Gym." Ash replies, surprisingly putting much thought in it than cannon Ash.

"Yes, I bet if only Pikachu learn how to use iron tail but that very hard for Pikachu to learn that early." Hiro says. " Don't worry about me. I am going to somehow manage to win." Ash says not want Hiro to feel bad about him.

In main time with Misty and Akane are just done collecting sufficient firewood. They are just making their way back. But suddenly a wild Pokemon jumped out in front of them. Misty freak out a little, hoping it's not a bug type.

It's not a bug type after all. It's small in size. It has a dark purple color and a big horn on its head. It's Nidoren and male. You can tell if they are male or female.

Misty takes Deep breaths. "Thank God it's not a bug type." Misty says apparently happy it's not a bug type." I am going to catch him." Akane says and takes out the Pokeball that holds Usagi.

"Go, Usagi, use sleep powder on that Nidoran." Akane orders and just as Usagi appears she uses the attack her trainer told her to use. She uses sleep powder and although Nidoren tries to avoid it, he is still hit with it and with that Nidoren goes into a deep sleep. Akane took one of her empty Pokeball and threw it. It took Nidoran inside and shook for a while after making a ping sound indicating capture.

" I will call you King." Akane named her new Pokemon. " Congratulations, now let's head back to the camping area. I don't want to stay where any bug type Pokemon jumps out of nowhere." Misty says not wanting to stay here one bit. "But we are not even in a viridian forest yet." Akane says. "Yes, but who knows, bugs can attack us here as well. We are almost in the virgin forest." Misty reply. " Okay, let's head back." Akane says and with that they quickly made it to the campsite.

When Akane and Misty return from collecting firewood, Ash and Hiro already set their camp and also made a place where they are going to lit up firewood. "Hey, you guys finally return, I was starting to think you lost here." Hiro said. "We are late because just two days ago there was rain in this area so it's hard to find dry firewood. And also Akane catches new Pokemon. And it's pretty rare too." Misty Stated their reason for being late.

"Is that right Akane? Which Pokemon you cache?" Ash ask very excited to know. Akane took out a Pokeball and throw it in air. And soon a small sleeping form of Male Nidoran appears. "It's pretty rare here. Congratulations on getting him." Hiro congrats her. "oh man now you both has a two Pokemon. I have to catch new Pokemon soon." Ash says. " But congratulations on catching it." Ash also congratulates Akane.

After that they cook food for themself. It's not that good but bad either. They eat it and also call their Pokemon out to eat. Here Ash, Hiro and Akane find out that Misty also has Goldeen. She didn't use it until now so no one knew. Well both reincarnated trainers knew but it's still a surprise for Ash.

"Oh man, that means all three of you has two Pokemon and I am the only one who hasn't caught a second Pokemon." Ash says a little disappointed. "Tomorrow I am going to catch so many Pokemon, believe it." Ash says and for some reason the reincarnated trainer can't stop small laughs.

And with that all of them went to sleep inside their camp.

The next day everyone wakes up early except Ash ofcourse. So Misty has to use a water gun from Staryu to wake him up. Ash was a little irritated at that, but soon got over it and started packing his things.

Today they are going to enter a viridian forest. It's dangerous if you're not careful enough. But no danger can stop our heroes from their adventure.

"Are you all ready, because we are going into the forest, and we are not careful who knows what will happen. And try not to lose our paths. If we get lost here we are going to take more time to find a way out." Hiro tells everyone to be careful.

Everyone nodded and started walking towards the forest. Trees that are around our heroes are starting to become bigger and wider. Also there are more trees than before. If you are not careful you can get lost here.

After some time, Misty suddenly screams. "What happened to Misty?" Ash asks to know why his friend freak out. "Bug. Here's Bug Pokemon. He is trying to get closer to me." Misty replies and sounds like she saw a ghost. Ash and others look in the direction where Misty is pointing and see one small Caterpie, Ash quickly takes out one of his empty Pokeball and throws it on Caterpie. Ball shook for a while and then made a ping sound indicating capturing Pokemon.

Ash is happy, very happy. He finally caught his second Pokemon. It feels good. Although Ash already has Pikachu but he was given him and Caterpie is fist Pokemon Ash had caught. He will make sure he takes good care of both his Pokemon.

In the rest of the way nothing interesting happened. Heros just met some trainers like them. Most of them are using bug types. Maybe they wanted to test their new Pokemon they caught here. But khalasi took care of most of them and Akane's new Nidoren got to shine here as well. Ash still uses his Pikachu because he doesn't want to battle with Caterpie just Yet.

Now night is near so all Heros start setting their camp in a good location. Today was good. They came so close to Pewter City they haven't reached it and almost going to take two days if nothing happens with them. and also Ash caught Caterpie. and Akane caught Nidoren.
