Back in the kitchen Pepper Tony just got done with their dinner went to look into Peter's file.

They both were already regretting it, but they had to do it. Tony finally opened the file. It was a good sized file with lots of information about Peter. But the things that stood out were- His parents died when he was 4 then taken to his aunt uncle. They both died 6 months later by getting shot. After that he went into a shady foster home. His foster parents names were Camilla howard. Mostly guys hurt him even though him foster mother was there too. When the police found him he was tied up onto a pole with a cloth in his mouth. He was on the verge of collapse (he still looks like that.) Lots of whip marks all over his body. He weighed 48 pounds which was severely underweight. He had a mild case of pneumonia (which was treated right away).

There was other stuff but this was too much to look at closed the file. When they closed the file both Pepper Tony were baling their eyes out.

They looked at each other that's when they both knew it was gonna be a challenge.

A couple of days passed no progress happened. Peter didn't come out of the closet except for the food outside his closet literally left nothing on the plate.

Pepper wanted her to trust them so she had an idea. At 3:15 Pepper went into Peter's room just sat down against the wall. All she did was take out a book read.

Around 20 mins passed and she heard the closet door open a bit. She didn't bother looking up. She did this for 30 minutes everyday just reading occasionally the closet door would open.

But what really surprised her was after about a week of doing it about 5 minutes in she heard the closet door open thought nothing of it. It was probably Peter waching her like a hawk. But out of the corner of her eye she saw Peter get out of the coset sit down 5ft in front of her.

Pepper was surprised but also proud he was making progress. She decided to try something. "Hey Peter, you wanna read this. "Peter gave a small shrug But Pepper gave him the book anyway walked out.

A week later Peter's progress increased significantly. He came out of his room followed Pepper around a little bit when she wasn't at the office.

The only problem was se was still afraid of Tony but that was ok. But the greatest thing happened on Thursday Pepper was just doing the dishes when she felt arms wrapped around her from behind.

She stopped what she was doing and realized Peter was the one hugging her. She started smiling but her smile grew wider when she heard Peter say "thank you for being there for me". That is when Pepper started crying happy tears. That when she knew everything was going to be just fine.
