"The babies certainly are quiet today," Didi said as they worked on the last few cookies. Once they had the babies down they'd focus on finishing the house and then work on details like the fence and the greenery. "I've barely heard a peep out of them."
"Eh, there ain't that many of them in the living room at the moment," Betty told her, bringing back the few cookies the babies hadn't eaten. "Just Angelica and Dil."
"Should we bring them in here?" Kira asked as she worked on making the satellite dish that would go on top of the gingerbread house. "We could give Angelica a few cookies she could decorate. And Dil could at least sit in his high chair. I'd hate for them to get bored or lonely with no one to play with."
"They're fine!" Betty declared. "When I went in to check on them the two of'em were sitting by the door watchin' the birds. All cuddled up close… should have brought a camera."
Didi smiled. "Maybe when we are done." She looked out the window and sighed. "Though I should get Spike and Spiffy out from the backyard. It looks like it might rain." She frowned, thinking over what to do with the dogs. "Though… I think I'll put them in the garage. I don't want hair to on any of the cookies and Spike has been shedding rather fiercely lately."
"Good idea," Kira said brightly. She held up the cookies she'd been decorating of Spike and Spiffy, planning to have them, Fifi, and Pepper as part of the Gingerbread house. "What do you think?"
"Very nice! You have a real talent for that!" Didi praised.
Kira nodded only to wince. "Though it does put a kink in my neck. I think I'm going to walk around for a few minutes, try and loosen things up."
"Good idea. I'll go get the dogs."
In the living room Angelica and Dil were staring at the window, clinging to each other in fright.
"See anything?" Angelica asked.
"Nope," Dil said. "Tommy?"
The cookie just stared at the lawn.
They had been doing that for the last hour, figuring that watching Spike and Spiffy run around was the safest thing to do. Eating was out as Phil and Lil had been turned into cookies for chewing with their mouth open. Drinking too as Susie had spilled hers. They couldn't leave the playpen after what Chuckie and Kimi had done… and become. And they didn't want to risk playing a game and breaking anything like Tommy had.
…except Dil had broken the teley-phone and he knew it. The Gingerbread Man should have turned HIM into a cookie. It was all his fault.
"Oh, this isn't right at all!" Angelica suddenly whined. "What did I do to deserve this?"
Dil just shot her a look.

"Hehehe," she said as she set things up so the babies thought Dil was pulling the pranks on them.

Dil sobbed as Tommy took away the hand-me-down toys, Angelica giggling the entire time over his tears.

Angelica laughed as she happily kidnapped Dil from his warm and safe crib, not caring in the slightest as she jostled him around just so she could claim he was a baby doll.

She just stared at the 8 months old. "I meant today!" she hissed. She glanced back outside, watching as Spiffy and Spike played in the grass. "Well, at least we can watch your dumb dogs play. We know that's safe."
Dil nodded only to cringe away from the window as both dogs popped a squat. "Spikey poopy."
"Yes… yes he is," Angelica said in disgust… just as Didi came out, calling for the two. The 3 year old and the baby sighed in disappointment as the dogs disappeared from view, taking away another piece of entertainment.
"Oh, aren't you two cute!" Kira said, walking up to the playpen. Dil and Angelica turned... and froze in horror at the two decidedly DOG SHAPED COOKIES IN KIRA'S HANDS! "Such good little ones. That's what I like to see." Dil and Angelica quickly nodded in fright as Chuckie's mom walked away.
"Gingy-bed man make doggies into cookies," Dil whispered.
"Yes, I saw that!"Angelica growled. "By why?" She looked outside and swallowed. "Oh no… is going potty now a bad thing too?"
Dil went really still, his stomach choosing that very moment to gurgle. "Uh oh."
Angelica scrambled away from him. "Don't you dare!"
"No want to!" Dil assured her, pressing his hands to his tummy, as if trying to will himself not to use his-
A rather loud and obnoxious sound came from the baby and his onsie sagged a bit as a familiar smell hit both of their noses.
-diapee.
Angelica scurried away from Dil til her back was pressed against the playpen fence, eyes wide, while the baby shook his head, as if the simple act of denying he'd just done one of the stinkies poopies he'd ever had in months would make it disappear. Dil reached out for her only for Angelica to find it her turn to shake her head, denying him. That left Dil looking down at his hands in worry, waiting to see if his little pudgy fingers would begin turning into cookies at that moment.
"Well… nice knowing you Dil," Angelica said.
"No… no cookie!" Dil whimpered. He couldn't become a cookie! Who would protect Tommy? He looked down at his diapee before a thought occurred to him. "No poopy."
"Oh, you did a poopy!" Angelica exclaimed. "You are going to be the stinkiest cookie ever."
"No!" He insisted quickly, a grin forming on his little lips. "No poopy diapee… no cookie!"
Angelica stared at him… before rapidly shaking her head. "You are out of your little jellybean brain if you think I'm touching that smelly diaper!"
"But Angelica-" Dil pleaded only for his cousin to hurry out of the playpen. She was allowed out of there so she was safe.
"Nope! Get someone else because-"
Now SHE froze, her eyes going wide… as her own tummy rumbled.
"Uh oh."
Dil could only watch on as Angelica scampered away, holding onto her tummy, shuffling her feet and keeping her legs tight together. He giggled until he smelled his dirty diapee and knew he had to take care of that before the Gingerbread Man smelled it and turned him into a cookie.
"What do Tommy?" he asked his brother. The cookie, leaning against the door, fell but Dil looked at the direction his head was pointed… and spied the diaper bag Chuckie's mom had left. "OH!" Dil exclaimed, getting on his hands and knees and crawling as fast as he could with his saggy diaper.
Angelica, meanwhile, hurried towards the bathroom only to gasp when she spotted Phil and Lil's mom. She quickly ducked around a corner, hiding, knowing that if one of the adults saw her then she'd have to admit she needed to go to the potty and then the Gingerbread Man would know and he'd make HER into a cookie! And she couldn't have that… she was too cute to be a cookie! And no one had heard of a princess cookie!
"Ooohhh!" she moaned as her tummy rumbled, squeezing her eyes shut before she made her way towards the stairs.
Dil, meanwhile, had managed to get out of his onsie and was now leaning against the couch, everything he needed to change himself laid out. He carefully undid the tape on his diapee and peeled it off-
"EW!" he squealed, shutting his eyes. "Stinky inky!" He gagged before steadying himself, reaching over and grabbing one of the cool wet wipes and working to clean himself off. It took far longer than when mommy did it and it smelled horrible and felt yucky on his fingers and he suddenly felt REALLY bad for laughing all those times he'd made a poopy because poopies were NOT fun at all!
Once he was completely clean he wiggled away from the stinky diapee and grabbed the baby power, wiggling it only to cough when a cloud of it spread all around him. He looked around to make sure no one had heard him then worked on getting the clean diapee on, his little bottom and front coated in white powder.
"All done! I dos it!" he said proudly as he tapped the new diapee on… only to see the old one still sitting there. "Uh oh."
Angelica bounced up and down desperately. She didn't know why the door was locked but it was. Normally she'd have just tried to go down stairs but she didn't think she'd make it-
The door opened and her Grandpa Lou stepped out… and looked nervously at her.
"Uh… don't tell anyone I was here, okay?"
"Don't tell anyone I was here!" Angelica pleaded.
The two looked at each other.
"Deal!" they both exclaimed, Angelica hurrying inside and slamming the door while Lou hurried down the steps… only to blink as he found a dirty diaper lying at the foot of the stairs, Dil looking about everywhere but towards the stinky garment.
"What in the?" Lou said, picking up the diaper, only for Didi to come out of the kitchen and spot him. "Uh… this isn't my house!" HE scratched his chin. "Dang memory goin'! By Cici!"
"Get back here you cheat!" Didi cried out, but Lou was out the door before she got even close, carrying the dirty diaper with him. Didi just shook her head and looked at Dil. "Your grandfather… oh." She spotted the cookies in the playpen. "All done with these Dil? I'll take them." The baby whimpered and shook his head but his mommy already had grabbed the Tommy, Chuckie, Kimi, Phil, and Lil cookies and was heading towards the kitchen. "Maybe your daddy will want a snack when he gets back…"
Dil stared at where his mommy had went before he broken down sobbing, hugging himself and rocking back and forth as Angelica came back down. "What's wrong drooly?" She sniffed. "Huh… don't stink anymore."
"T… Tommy!" Dil whimpered. "mommy took Tommy! Daddy eat Tommy!"
Angelica stared at him. "What?"
"Mommy took cookies! Give to daddy! He eat soon!" He shook his head, forcing himself to stop crying and crawled over to Angelica, grabbing at her dress. "Save!"
"Oh no! I'm not getting into trouble!"
"Pwease!" Dil whimpered.
"No!" Angelica said.
"…Susie?" Dil asked.
Angelica growled at that, gritting her teeth before letting out a grunt of frustration. "Fine! Come on!"
Dil crawled speedily after her.
"Well, I think we are almost set," Didi said, playing the extra baby cookies on a platter. "We just need to finish the back yard and we'll be all set."
Kira nodded. "I have been thinking about that. I did a paper mock up in the dining room, tell me what you think."
"Whatever you do it will be a winner, that's for sure!" Betty declared as the moms stepped out. A few moments later, unnoticed by them, Dil and Angelica hurried in.
"You see'em?" she asked, looking about.
Dil scanned the kitchen before spotting the plate, the Chuckie Cookie half dangling off the play. "There!"
Angelica nodded and she hurried forward, getting on her tiptoes, reaching for the plate. "Almost… got… it…" she nudged the plate, pulling it forward. "And OOOMPF!" She slipped and fell back, sending the plate falling, sending cookies all over. Dil gasped but thankfully none of the cookies broke.
"Chuckie," he said, grabbing that cookie. "Tommy. Kimi. Tommy. Phillip. Tommy. Lillip. Tommy. Tommy. Tommy… Tommy?" He blinked as he looked around and realized that there were a DOZEN Tommy cookies lying on the ground. Dil began to pant, looking about wildly at all the cookies. "Tommy? Tommy?" He began to grab cookies, desperate to figure out which one was his brother. What if he got the wrong one? What if he just got a cookie and not his brother? "Tommy!"
Angelica was just as panicked… but for a different reason.
Drawing in her coloring book, Angelica sighed, glad that they'd figured out how to turn Susie and everyone else back to normal-
"Angelica?" Tommy asked. "What are you doing?"
"Coloring."
"Angelica?" ANOTHER Tommy asked. "Want to play outside?"
"I'm coloring, go away baldy."
A third Tommy popped up beside her. "Angelica, what is Arbor Day?"
"Angelica?" a four asked, "why is the grass green?"
"Angelica?" Another whined. "Can I play with Cynthia?"
"Shut up!" Angelica cried out.
"Angelica? Where is the South Pole?"
She leapt off the couch and began to run, a horde of Tommys toddling after her, shouting question. No matter where she went more of them appeared, joining with the mob till all she could see were blue shirts and bald heads.
Reaching the front door Angelica pulled it open only for a tidal wave of Tommys to pour in, giggling and laughing and talking talking TALKING!
"A baby's gotta do what a baby's gotta do!"
"Hold onto your diapees!"
"Let's go on an adventure!"
"Noooo!" Angelica wailed, falling to her knees.
Dil was just as upset, finally breaking down, grabbing his head. "I broke teley-phone! It me! It me!" He threw out his arms and look to the sky. "Make me cookie instead!"
"What is going on in here?" Didi said, entering to find Dil and Angelica crying, surrounded by fallen cookies. "Oh dear, did you two have an accident?"
"Bad Dil!" Dil screeched. "make Cookie! Make-"
"Deed?" Stu said, entering with Tommy who was clutching a new Reptar stuffed animal he'd gotten, another one for Dil held by Stu. "What is going on?"
"What is all this racket?" Aunt Miriam said as she came in through the other door, Susie and her mom just a few steps behind, Kimi giggling as she wiggled her feet (and her new boots).
"Hey guys," Chas said with a beaming Chuckie who kept touching his new glasses. "I ran into Howard and… oh dear." The adults all looked at Dil and Angelica who were still crying. "What happened?"
"I think the kids made a little mess. It's okay though, we can toss these cookies out-"
"Let… let me Deed!" Stu said, licking his lips. "Right Howard?"
"Oh yeah, we'll deal with them!" They placed the kids on the floor and began to grab the cookies, the adults all ignoring the babies.
"Hiya Dil!" Tommy said, hoping to cheer his brother up. "Let me tell you about-"
"TOMMY!" Dil screamed, launching himself forward and hugging his brother.
"Susie!" Angelica wailed, hugging her startled friend.
"…so…" Phil said, feeding a cookie to Spike while Spiffy ran about the hugging Dil and Angelica, "good day?"
