End of Prologue
Kagami, dressed in a set of white robes and a plain white mask, marched from the monastery with a bag on his back that included Sora's ashes. On his right hip was an iron claw, Sora's fondest possession and personal weapon. He had some training with it, Sora taught him a lot after all, but he vowed to gain mastery over it. To honor his fallen friend, his only friend since all of Naruto's so called friends were assholes bar Konohomaru... sad really.
"Where to now?" Kagami asked himself and oddly the answer came to him in an instant. "Wave country would be an interesting start? I want to see if they've healed from the past... and perhaps, I can find some solace in the first place to show other self some kindness... but I need to go somewhere to get more combat skills and knowledge. I cannot think of anything behind Mist, but they are done with their war... so where to? Perhaps Sea country, I am sure there are things that Orochimaru's henchmen had hidden, so ther is at least some medical knowledge. And I know Naruto's few jutsu, so I could practice those. He had no stylistic taijutsu, so there is no point there, but the rasengan and the shadow clone jutsu would be helpful... but can I cast shadow clones, do I have enough chakra? Damn it Naruto, you really should have paid proper attention to things, damning me to and with your ignorance!"
Shaking off his irritation, he started on the path to Wave, knowing it would take him days at a civies pace...
He would train in his predecessors old jutsu when he rested.
And that is exactly what he did the moment he set to camp for the night, holding out his hand, he easily and single handedly crafted a perfect, if a tad smaller, rasengan. Laughing, he nodded. " I figured as much, when you actually are trained in Chakra control... or really anything of value, unlike what that village did to Naruto, you just have the means to use this jutsu easily. I mean it's basically just pure chakra control. Naruto really would have excelled with proper tutelage, wouldn't he have? Pity...
Time for the next jutsu... this is going to suck... let's stick with one clone. Shadow clone jutsu." in a puff of smoke, a clone appeared, smiling behind their mask. "We really need to figure out our limits without Kyuubi or Naruto's more potent powers... sigh... this is going to be awful. Go get us a deer, I saw some nearby."
And so his clone went, returning after a thirty minute period in which the real Kagami meditated. " I am back with the deer." The clone said. " See ya." And he poofed away, making Kagami pause as new memories of tracking down, slaughtering and dragging the deer flooded his mind. "How did Naruto miss that before, gods we were dumb before...I wonder, can I use that for training? It wouldn't affect my physical powers, but perhaps my jutsu and seal training... and it would be great for infiltration... yes... that must be how it was designed, which Naruto would have known if he actually paid attention. Gods this is going to suck, filling in the gaps he made for me."
"""
To Kagami's shock and awe, Wave was now a beautiful place. With beautiful well built houses, happy children and lots and lots of mentions of Team Seven about it. The Great Naruto Bridge on added to that sense of extreme awe. "Talk about appreciative... I wonder if Naruto ever felt about this... I doubt it. Hmm, speaking off, Naruto was set to return to the Leaf about two years from when I was made. That might be something I look into..."
Shaking his head, he hurried into the village, across the bridge where he saw lively people smiling and just living their best lives. A balloon of pure joy filled his chest as the sight of them.
'It is great to see them so happy, the memory of their past state was haunting.'
After a while he made it up to Zabuza and Haku's grave, sitting down gently in front of them. "What would you two do? If you were me, or anyone in my position..." Then, oddly the answer came to him as he looked at the grave. "Wait, you were mercenaries! I could do that, kill and capture for money. It would give me money, power, skill and the means to protect myself. I could heal in villages too, to bolster my powers and give me more money...that would be amazing... and to start, I think you'll love this, I will sell you sword. I mean it is getting no use and I think Mist would love it back... and that would give me a lot of money... yes, that is what I will do. Sorry, Zabuza, but you are the one that gave me the idea."
It was an easy thing to pull the Blade from the grave.
"I guess in return... I'll bury Sora here, part of him anyway... I think he would like that." After burying a small fragment of Sora's ashes, he turned and fled Wave at super speeds, happily getting started on something that would finally give him back the purpose he lost when Sora died. When he lost the power to be a monk. Unlike Naruto he was a flexible being, not relying on one dream to get him through...
"I think I will make my way to Sea country next, and do my new job on the way... anything to get me started..."
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews. This the last chapter of the long Prologue...
