Naruto Shadows on a New Age:

Since ancient times men have existed on conflict with each other from discussions to full blown wars there have always been conflict no matter the era, however there was a time that was known as the most ruthless and violent time in all of history, the Warring States, a time in which multiple ninja clans roamed the lands as if they were the owners of it, these clans lived on a constant state of competition between each other that dragged multiple innocents to their battles Women, Children and Civilians no one was safe, but what put an end to this Era wasn't the sword or understanding but pragmatism, because who finalized this bloody affair wasn't a ninja but civilians, merchants and businessman started to put more money and effort on the factories and workplace this dragged people from the country to the big cities in search of new opportunities without the civilians the ninjas suffered, there wasn't more business to maintain their lifestyle so little by little the multiples Clan's were given a choice to accept their time has ended and look for other ways to survive this new era, in the actuality descendants of the ninja clans live normal lives many on complete ignorance of their ancestors old lifestyle, sadly this is not an utopia because there always going to be another conflict on the horizon no matter what especially considering the power of Chakra the one that made Shinobi so feared on the first place. Now open you eyes to see the Shadows on a New Age.

TOKA/FIRE COUNTRY

Agni Tora Apartments (Aka POLICE DORM)

6:14 AM

This was relatively warm and calm morning of march, Naruto was awakening only to see the time 6:14 AM he still got time, but he was excited today was his first day as a police officer and he want things to go well, so he got up of his bed and started fixing himself up, he begins by looking himself at the mirror Naruto was 19 at the time he joined the force just after finishing high school and after a little more of a year of the academy, he was ready for it he knows it wouldn't be easy his family had been on the force since his beginnings , both of his parents tried to tell him about their bad experiences on the job, the long hours, the insults, the stress , that you will have to follow a hierarchy for all of his career, he knows that he heard the stories the issues and even from one of his elder cousins that likes to complain about it even though she had only been on the force for like 3 years and 1 was on the academy, but now he has the chance to help and protect people. Right now, he was staring from the dorm he was living right now, it was just a simple one room apartment, that rented exclusively to police officers is common for rookies like himself to live there principally because the rent is cheap and is near the station where he now works.

"GO GO FIGHT GO GO FIGHT THE POWWAAA- GO GO FIGHT GO GO FIGHT THE POWWAA"*[1]

Naruto heard his phone ringing and after seeing who was calling him, he answered, after all it was his mom Kushina Uzumaki

"Hello Mom, good to hear from you how have you been"- Said Naruto to his phone.

"Me I'm fine same old, same old, a case from there a case from that I just finished a night shift and decided to call my sweet little man, are you ready, are you scared, don't worry just remember what we talked about and you be fine"- Said Kushina from the phone sounding a little hysterical to Naruto liking

"Well to be honest with you I'm kinda scared, is a big step to day begins the first to what is my future career and I want to do great but what if I messed up"- answered Naruto truthfully to his mother

"Well I'm not gonna lie to you some people are gonna have expectations from you , you are Naruto Uzumaki we wanted or not our last name have fame among the institution but also people are gonna be harder with you for it, the Uzumaki clan helped form the base to what is the Toka police force today, and we do have many members working on it"- Said Kushina to an already nervous Naruto

"So don't mess up , or we never want to see your face on the family ever again"- responded Naruto with a sigh wishing internally to have born on a normal family

"No you are going to mess up, that for sure you are a rookie that's a given, what you need to do is learn from those mistakes, and move on, look Naru-chan I love you and while a part of me is happy you are following our family footsteps another is worried about you hurting yourself, but also I know you , you are Naruto Uzumaki I know that you are going to be great at this ,so don't worry you can do this"- said Kushina to an emotional Naruto

"Thanks Mom , you're the best give a hug to dad for me please I love you"- he said to his mother

"I love you too, just remember any doubt you had listen to your superiors, bye have a nice day"- after that the call ended and Naruto finished dressing himself up

"Mom is right , just be cool, you're Naruto Uzumaki and I can do this believe it"- thought Naruto

After being dressed he decided to go simple after all according to regulations he had to change to his uniform at the station he was wearing a black suit with a white shirt and white Sneakers.

He decided to take some Gohan with Yakizakana and miso soup for breakfast, it was delicious the fish with rice was amazing while it was not ramen it was really good, after seeing the time 7:03 he decided that maybe is better to leave so he can arrive early he doesn't want his sempais to have a bad first impression of him, so he grabbed his bagpack and his keys left his dorm.

"Ok lets see notebook Check, Cellphone Check, Lunch Money Check"- said Naruto to himself to see if he was missing anything until

"Good Looks and personality not check, you lose"- a voice interrupted his voices

"Ha… Ha…. Ha… isn't the pot calling the kettle black, Ino"- said Naruto to another blonde only instead of having his bright yellow hers was more platinum to his ears on length according to academy regulations, she also had green eyes and was 5.6 feet and just like Naruto she was wearing a pantsuit with white shirt

"No, is not that I mean look at this"- Said Ino using her hands to show her entire body-"This is beauty, Relax I'm just teasing you are you ready after a year of hell we are finally gonna do it .Fighting crime and taking names while looking good at doing it"- Ino declared with confidence after all she and Naruto were Academy buddies both of them joined the force at the same time and become fast friends after a while, for her part Ino was happy that at least she was going to work with a good guy like Naruto and not alone or with someone she can't stand.

After saying that Ino pull Naruto on one armed and laughed Naruto started laughing too, is was good this helped him relax a lot. They took the stairways to the dorm and walked the road to take the train to the Araki police station of Toka.

"So do you have any Uzumaki Ammo I can use, maybe one of your uncles worked with the chief before or something give me anything, I really want to make a good first impression"- Ino said looking directly at Naruto's eyes

"Not really ,to be honest on service there are only like 13 Uzumaki's including me but no one works close to Araki"- Naruto answered truthfully he could understand Ino , Ino parents owned a flower shop without any kind of martial training and both were against their little girl becoming a Cop, still they finally give in but according to Ino at least strong words were said, there is also the fact that while Naruto hope it isn't the case there are persons who are going to judge Ino because she is a woman, sadly even with all of their advances that attitudes still remain ,he heard it from his mom who was from a police lineage that even she suffered it from it- "However what I heard they said Chief Ibiki is a good guy from the scary side of good but good nonetheless, so we have to do this old school with good old hard work"- said Naruto recomforting Ino.

"Yeah, I guess you're right"- Said Ino simply- "Well in that case my charming personality would do the heavy lifting let's do this "- answered Ino with a punch to the air.

"I mean we kinda already did this during the academy remember our practical"- Naruto said to Ino

"Yeah I guess you're right"- after finishing they noted they already boarded the train to the police station- "Today is the day , today we finally are police officers are you ready Officer Uzumaki"- said dragging her friend through the arm

"Only if you are officer Yamanaka"- Said Naruto with a smile on his face.

ARAKI POLICE STATION

After that they left the train station and they started walking the road down the street and there it was, it was a simple white building with the kanji 警[2] on top right next to it , it was a small totem that said Araki police station with a red siren on top, Both Naruto and Ino stared silently

"This is probably the scariest building I ever seen, after we cross that door, we are not going to be Ino Yamanaka and Naruto Uzumaki instead we are going to be Officer Yamanaka and Officer Uzumaki and the responsibility that entails- Said Ino to her Friend.

"Yeah, all that sweet and hard work and now we are just a door away"-Said Naruto- "I have an idea let's take a picture right to celebrate the moment."

"That actually a good idea lets do this"- after Ino she put herself next to the totem and Naruto quickly followed on the other side –"Cheese"- both said after Naruto took a selfie after that both entered the building ready to finally begin their next chapter of their lives.

So what do you think this is my first story on this site, i'm sorry for any problem with the grammar english is not my first lenguage. I'm open to any ideas of suggestions
