Rocket grumbles to himself as he sets to work on repairing the ship. Groot stands next to him, looking up at him with his big, innocent eyes.
Nebula paces back and forth, eyeing the two of them warily. "Don't even think about trying anything," Rocket warns her, brandishing a tool.
Nebula scoffs. "I'm not stupid enough to try anything."
Jake watches them from the corner of the ship, using his powers to move blocks around. He can sense the tension in the air and wishes he could do something to ease it.
Peter comes up to him and puts a hand on his shoulder. "You doing okay, buddy?"
Jake nods, but doesn't say anything. He's still too overwhelmed by all the new experiences he's been having lately. He's not used to being part of such a close-knit group, and it's taking some getting used to.
Peter sighs. "Look, I know things have been tough. But we're all in this together, you know? We've got your back."
Jake nods again, and Peter squeezes his shoulder before walking back to where Rocket and Groot are working.
Jake looks down at his hands, which are still glowing with green energy. He's not sure what he can do to help the others right now, but he's determined to try.
As the group explores Ego's strange, organic planet, Jake keeps watches has friends leave the ship Jake is feeling something bad is going to happen
Jake feels a sense of belonging with the Guardians, even if he's not always sure what he brings to the group. He's still figuring things out, but he knows that he's important to them, and that's enough for now.
