Prologue

Ahsoka recently has a dream, a very strange one. Everything was so white and bright, that it constantly causes eyes to feel pain and almost blinds young padawan. But there was a spot. Spot of all-devouring darkness, that stood on one place, awaiting her, guiding. This darkness was not terrifying nor tempting, it was like a beacon in the storm, but the colours was inverse. But the moment she did a step, another darkness appeared from behind. Unlike the spot, this one was deformed, violent and corrupted.

'The Dark Side…' — thought Ahsoka. She tried to run to spot, yet tendrils of the Dark Side tried to pull her back. The light stood still, doing nothing as if Ahsoka wasn't worth any effort of help. And then, with the sound of raging thunder, she woke up.

She was in her room in Jedi temple on Coruscant, panting heavy, but unharmed. Such dream was her nightmare for a few days already. Understanding, that situation is more serious, that it was at first, Ahsoka decided to ask other jedi for help, luckily, she met master Obi-Wan Kenobi and master Yoda in corridor (Anakin was on mission right now).

"Masters!.." — Ahsoka greeted them. She told them about weird dream of hers. Masters were concerned and worried about girl.

"To meditate on this together we should try"

"It is definitely not something we can discard, we'll next to you and help, if anything would happen"

After they come to meditation chambers, they set in circle next to each other. Ahsoka started her meditation, tried to concentrate on her dream.

Surprisingly, both masters also were dragged into this place. They tried to say something and even scream, but in vain. Then Ahsoka pointed her finger in particular direction and unlike masters, she was able to speak.

"Look! It is now different!" — the spot is now radiating purple mist, as if showing its annoyance with the jedi, but nothing more than that. And just like the previous times, the Dark Side appeared and tried to drag Ahsoka. Master Yoda used the force, to prevent this, while master Kenobi, after discovering that his lightsaber was not with him, joined his green friend.

Despite their combined efforts, tendrils were only delayed. And then, just as Ahsoka knew, she heard the thunder. But she did not wake up, she and her masters were still in this place. And then they saw…Saw how hundreds upon hundreds of lightning strikes formed a wall to protect them whilst pushing the Dark side and both punishing it and torturing.

Only then Ahsoka find enough braveness to turn back. What was a dark spot, now was a man, chained to his throne. Black and purple mist covered him entirely and only eyes was radiating with sinister pink.

Ahsoka was shocked, she could feel something, something familiar, warm. Like family... Obi-Wan was ready to jump between Ahsoka and whoever this person was, but master Yoda stopped him and pointed, like telling him to observe.

Slowly, step by step, padawan was getting closer to chained man, when she was few meters away, he spoked.

"Nar Shaddaa…"

Masters and padawan found themselves back in the meditation room, still sitting in circle.

"What was that? And who was this?" — asked Kenobi no one in particular.

"The message is the answer for your first question, but for second – it is not I who possess the answer" — said Yoda, looking to Ahsoka face.

"I-I don't know… He was looking like personification of sith, not current like Dooku or his master, but ancient, like those from Barsen'thor's era. And yet he was…patient and…warm? It almost feels like a meeting with distant family member."

"That is surely the strangest way to describe sith, especially from this era. But rises even more questions: why he did protected us from whatever this was? why he wanted to talk to you?"

"On Nar Shaddaa, perhaps, find the answer we will?"

After more discussing, there was decided that master Kenobi will return to battlefield, as Anakin called for support, while master Yoda will accompany padawan Tano on her journey to the Smuggler's Moon to answer their questions or to find new while trying.
