Chapter 1: Finding Zed

The night-time was coming quickly in the town of Seabrook. Many people have already fell asleep, but some are still wide awake, including Addison Wells who is wide-awake looking for her boyfriend. He went missing this morning when he didn't come straight home from school, something told his dad that he must've been stopped by the Z-Patrol and he must've been in confinement, but that doesn't happen often. Zed is a nice Zombie kid, and he has been thinking about what to do with himself after high school…Things are slowly getting better for everyone in Seabrook, including the aliens who now have access to all earth technology.

Including laptops and computers. Zed realized that he might be in competition with the aliens and that he might have to find something else to do, but since things have been changing. Stuff might just be easier for people like him. "Zed? Is everything okay?" Principal Lee asked, "yeah … Just a little tired and stressed."

The word stressed came out so quickly, that Principal Lee had to think that something was wrong with the teen Zombie. That was the last time Seabrook saw him…They didn't know if or how they would find him. Many people started making funeral plans for him, because they didn't know if they would find him alive.

Addison was crying in her room alone, when she realised that Zed might be dead…It struck her the minute she heard her parents' talking about something. She could tell that it was about Zed, and about the other Zombies in Seabrook.

Her parents have been more and more supportive of her relationship with Zed. All of a sudden Addison stepped on a piece of paper, it looked like it was a note that was written by Zed. It had a date, time, and year stamp on it.

She didn't want to open it, but her heart told her that she should. She thought about what could be on that note, but she didn't want to open it … She did anyway.

Dear Addison,

I am sorry that you have to see my letter like this. After all the anti-monster laws have been gone, I have been thinking a lot about my life and how much it has improved…But sometimes I feel like nothing is getting better for me, and nothing is going to improve. Dad tells me that I just have to be patient and ready…I tell myself that things are going to get better. But are they? I know everyone is ready for the year because of all these less laws, but I WANT to feel ready myself. I know this might come to a shock to you.

But I am moving out of Seabrook, my dad has told me that we are moving away, and that we won't be back Trust me, I was crying when I found out. Something has been coming up a lot in my dad's work life, and he told me that we should just forget about it, and that we should just start a new life. I want you to be brave Addison…Don't cry over me, you can see that werewolf you love so much. What's his name again? Wyatt.

While I am in another part of America finding my own place. I am so sorry it had to be this way. I really am, I hope that you understand…And I hope that you make the most out of your time without me. I really love you, I miss you, and I still want what's best for you.

I love you, love, Zed.

"Mom! Dad!" Addison yelled, she was basically crying her way downstairs. She saw both of her parents looking at newspapers, and all of a sudden they stopped because they saw their daughter crying.

"What's wrong, dear?" Missy asked, "is it about Zed?" She asked.

"Yes…I…I…I found out he was moving."

"I am so sorry, we should've told you—But we figured you would be too upset to know what really happened. Zed's dad came over and talked to us before he left about telling you," Missy explained, "he told me that I should tell you, but that I should keep quiet until I tell you. He did say that Zed would send you something the day before he left. I am so sorry, Addison, maybe you should check on ZombieTown and see how everyone else is doing. I don't think they are okay with this news. Really, I don't think they are."

"Is Eliza okay?" She asked.

"No…I'm afraid not."

"Why not?"

"She is very unconsolable. She spent the last few days crying into Bonzo's arms. Who is also not ready to talk."

"Poor, Eliza, she always is ready to talk."

"I know…I guess this move is hard on everyone."

"Yeah. It is."

Suddenly, Dale appeared, he seemed tired, and he seemed worried. He figured that his daughter found out about the situation, and he wanted to give her a hug. He went closer to his daughter but she wasn't ready to talk either. "NO!" She yelled, "I DON'T WANT YOU TO TALK…HOW COULD YOU HAVE ZED MOVE AWAY LIKE THAT? REALLY DAD?"

"Addy! I didn't force him to move, if that's what you're thinking…"

"How do I know you did?"

"Honey, just don't talk to her right now."

"Sorry."

"Okay."

"Sorry?"

"Addison…Stop."

"Fine."

"I am sorry too Dad."

"I know you are sad."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Oh."

"I do think you should visit ZombieTown."

"OK."

"I think the wolves want to talk as well."

"Alright, I'll see them. Bye Dad."

"Good luck!"

End Author's Note: Wow…Longest chapter so far, I really am liking this new writing style. I feel like it is more 'me' and I feel like it is more what I want to do with my life, I do hope you all enjoyed this story. And please stay tuned for chapter 2, which is going to explore more of why Zed left Seabrook. And no, it is not because of Addison's dad. See ya!
