People look at videogames with interest and enjoyment as they get to become a different person and experience adventures that they never would have been able to experience in the real world but what do you think would happen if a person suddenly had their concept of reality changed from real to fiction?
A young man who truly enjoys various genres of games is soon going to figure out the answer to that question. This young man is George Kamiya who is currently in his room playing videogames alongside his little sister Miu Kamiya who is also going to be a major part of solving this question as both of them are currently playing a basic MMORPG on the hardest difficulty and are basically taking over the server as George is sitting at his work desk with two keyboards in front of him as his desk was big enough to support two screens of a full pc network while Miu is on the floor playing on two separate laptops.
George has fair skin with black wavy hair on his head with brown eyes and an average frame as he is dressed in a simple white tank top and black basketball shorts while Miu has slightly paler skin with brown hair reaching her shoulders and brown eyes as she is dressed in a simple knee length pink dress and sandals.
"Miu make sure to double down on your support spells and debuffs. I'll handing being the tank and DPS for our guild." George said as he was using his two keyboards with practiced ease and control.
"Bet." Miu simply said as she focused on her role in the back as a healer and magic caster while George fought the other players. "Their about to walk into our trap and my ultimate is ready. Should I wait to get hit or should I use it when they are just within range?"
"Miu you already know the answer to that question." George said with a chuckle.
"I know but I thought that you might not want me to be a troll today." Miu replied as the other players fell right for the bait and started surrounding Miu's characters since they thought that she was the reason George hardly took any damage. They thought that she is healing him so much that their hits can't register which isn't a bad line of thinking, but it still wasn't the case since George focused solely on developing the best tank and DPS characters that meant that with his active and passive skills the players simply didn't have the necessary strength to get through his tanking ability or stop his DPS character from destroying them quickly.
"Were trolls everyday Miu. That's half the fun." George said as he reached over to the floor and grabbed his drinking cup full of a off brand energy drink before he continued wreaking house while Miu used her ultimate skill to wipe out the majority of the players attacking them when they landed a few hits on her. To add insult to injury Miu had several buffs going from food items, potions and her own enhancing skills so she not only used her ultimate ability, but she fully healed all the damage and status buffs that the players inflicted before she reached over behind her and grabbed a box of strawberry pocky that she quickly started eating.
"I know." Miu replied calmly between eating her snacks.
"Looks like their rage quitting." George said with a chuckle as he leaned back in his gamer chair as the fighting soon came to an end. "The Guild of Dragonborns have claimed more victims." George said as he stretched and smiled as the name was an obvious reference to both dungeons and dragons as well as Skyrim.
"Looks like they are complaining to the GM's." Miu said as this was far from the first time that people accused Miu and George of being hackers and cheats which made both of them laugh because the people the PK'd were the ones actually cheating and hacking.
"Another case and another victory for us." George said as he looked over to his adorable sister and raised his hand down towards her as Miu reached out as well and the both of them high fived with bright smiles on their face not even caring that they were getting messages from angry game GM's and Admins.
"True. We take over every MMORPG we can find and even peaceful games that lack PVP are things that allow us to just create endlessly farming loopholes that make other players jealous. Keyboard warriors are fun to bully." Miu said proudly.
"They are and that's why we enjoy these games as much as we do. We can do whatever we want. Unlike in real life." George said as he and Miu both sighed in response to that since in real life they were both nobodies.
"You're still a hero to me big bro." Miu said before she went back to her laptops and started playing the game once again.
"Thanks, Miu." George said as he ruffled his sister's head before he also went back to playing his game before they both suddenly got an identical email that wasn't from any of the people in charge of the game.
[From: Anonymous.
Hiya. You guys in the Dragonborn guild must be tired of the lame fights with newbs. I know I have been since I first got here and started power levelling and wrecking house like you guys. So, how about some PVP? If you win, I'll send you a nice little gift.]
"Is it spam?" George asked as Miu looked over the information.
"It's Anonymous but it's a bit too weird for it to be a bot message since game A.I bots aren't that smart. At the very least we could have finally run into a challenge." Miu said with a yawn before she quickly grabbed George's energy drink and started drinking some of it.
"That stuff is bad for you. Also, it will stunt your growth." George said as both of them accepted the challenge and soon enough spotted a strange player.
Their gamer tag and level were blank, and they seem to be wearing some type of heavy armor that George and Miu never saw before.
"Miu start applying buffs to my tank. Let's play seriously." George said as Miu looked up at her brother and saw the serious expression on his face which made her smile and summon up her own resolve.
"Right." Miu said and sure enough the duo used their four characters against a single player in what was the most watched PVP battle in the public battle arena in the history of the MMORPG they were playing. The battle was also a long one and right now after their victory both Miu and George were completely exhausted as it seemed like they were both slumped over with their souls escaping their bodies through their mouths.
Then another email hit their accounts.
[From: Anonymous
Hahaha that was really fun. I haven't had a battle like that in ages. Now I promised you guys a gift for beating me and I am going to deliver but before you open it you need to ask yourselves. How far will George Kamiya and Miu Kamiya go to be known throughout the multiverse as the best gamers in existence?]
"What the hell?" George asked in shock as Miu also seemed confused as they looked at the email as well as the gift attached to it. The gift attached to the email seemed to be a gif of what looked like planet earth and when George clicked on the image all the technology, they had suddenly gone dark.
"Fuck we got hacked." Miu said with a groan but before George could say anything all the screens suddenly came back on in static.
"Amazing. You two truly deserve to live in a world where your fantasies can become realities." A new voice said, shocking George and Miu as hands emerged from their computer screens making both George and Miu scream and hold each other before the floor suddenly vanished and both George and Miu found themselves freefalling through the sky somehow.
"Miu hold onto me." George said as he held onto his sister tight and positioned her above him in a tight hug so that when they hit the ground, she would be fine as he would cushion her fall.
"You two are without question the best gamers I have ever come across. Nobody else in your world has ever given me so much fun." The strange voice said again as George and Miu looked to the left and saw a humanoid shaped man surrounded in a golden aura as no visible traits appeared on his body.
"What the hell is this?!" George shouted as the golden being spoke.
"This is the world of Earth but not the Earth you're familiar with. This is a world of magic and strife. Countless adventures await you and when you become strong enough, I will want to fight with you on the battlefield again but this time it will be a real fight with stakes on the line." The being said as George looked over his shoulder and noticed that the ground was getting closer.
"This world doesn't have much longer to survive, and I want you to show me if this world is worth saving or if it should be destroyed. This is the ultimate test for gamers like you." The being said as George held on to his sister as tight as he could as they neared the ground and hit it with an explosive thud. George and Miu thought that they were dead for sure but when they both opened their eyes, they saw that they were fine and in the center of a small crater.
Then suddenly golden game screens appeared in front of both George and Miu.
The Soul-Linked Game System is fully online!
The game has been auto saved!
Tutorial Arc has begun!
"George is this a dream?" Miu asked as they saw the golden figure walk up towards them.
"This is my gift to you. A game system so you can live your lives as if you were truly inside of a videogame. Your souls are also connected to each other, and you can figure out the rest on your own." The golden figure said as it started walking away.
"Wait. Who are you?" George asked as the figure actually stopped and looked over its shoulder.
"You can call me Xam. Try to stay alive for a while." Xam said before he literally vanished. No fancy magic flash or technique and instead he simply vanished from existence.
"Is this really a different world?" Miu asked as they both stood up and walked out of the crater to see what looked like a literal kingdom in the distance and in front of them is a lot of wild grassland and woods.
"Looks like it. Not even Disney world could pull off a fantasy look like this." George said as he gripped his sister's hand as they started walking through the area towards the kingdom before they heard some strange noises nearby. "Miu stick close to me." George told her as he picked up a heavy branch near him on the ground as they saw a strange sight before them.
They saw a soccer ball sized blue colored slime and as soon as they saw that both George dropped his branch and grabbed hold of Miu as he bolted from the scene as fast as he could.
Slimes in some games can be cute and harmless but in other more intense games like final fantasy they are a terror without magic and George and Miu both knew the best response to that would be to run and sure enough after running away from a few obstacles both George and Miu came up to the massive kingdom and unlike in some games the kingdom was actually something more of a giant city with a castle in the center of it as two guards where posted in front of the cities gates.
"Hold it. State your business here in Neverwinter." A guard said as both George and Miu recognized that name as the famous two from Dungeon and Dragons. The man however was wielding a blunderbuss style rifle in his hands with a short sword strapped to his side while the other guard was similarly armed.
"Where just looking for a place to rest for a bit. We are far from home and don't really know much about the area." George said as the guard looked over both of them with a raised eyebrow.
"You may enter. If you're looking for a place to rest, you can try asking people at the pawn's guild. They help anyone no matter what." The guard informed them as he looked up at what appeared to be a walkway above the gates at a person who controlled the access to the door and sure enough the person on the walkway pulled a lever and the massive wooden doors opened letting George and Miu enter the city.
"Whoa." Miu and George both said in amazement at what they saw as they saw various people all over the place in a fantasy style setting. Humans, Elves, even Beastlike races in the form of Lizardmen and Hexbloods.
"Wait. Aren't Hexbloods exclusive to Ravenloft campaigns?" George whispered to Miu.
"They can be but its all up to the DM to say what goes." Miu whispered back as George loved the Dungeons and Dragons game but spent more time actually enjoying the game instead of trying to memorize every single rule since the game's rules change according to who is in charge of the adventure.
"Where do we even find this 'Pawns Guild'?" George asked as Miu grabbed his hand and pointed towards a massive building with a pawn chest piece on its roof. "Oh."
Sure, enough the two of them spent more time walking towards the guild before coming up to it and seeing that the place looks like a standard adventurers guild hall from MMORPG's and some anime as the interior was big with dozens upon dozens of tables and people who call themselves adventurers as George and Miu walked up to the main desk clerk and asked her if they could have a place to stay.
"We welcome all people with open arms here. We have more than enough spare beds in our micro dimension space down the hall. However, there are rules that you have to follow if you choose to stay here. The first rule is that assaulting, raping, or harming your fellow guests or Adventurers is against the rules and will be punished harshly. You can have duels with your fellow guests however and if it becomes a death match people won't intervene unless they have good reason to. No stealing either. Now follow me." The receptionist said before she walked them down the hall and opened the only door to the place and when they entered it George and Miu saw that they had in fact entered a different space all together as they now saw dozens upon dozens of rooms stretching out into an endless hall.
"How do we know what room is for us?" George asked as the woman simply smiled.
"Empty room please." The woman said before the closet door next to them opened. "When you step in the room will be registered to you. All you have to do is ask for your room specifically and the door to it will open. This endless series of rooms is simply an illusion to throw off any thieves who try to sneak in and rob a guest. Also are you two bunking together?" The woman asked.
"Yes. My sister and I are a packaged deal." George said as Miu nodded her head in response.
"Alright then. Feel free to rest but if you want food or water you will have to get that on your own if you don't join the guild. For guests we simply offer a room and access to the restrooms and bathing rooms." The woman said before she turned around and left as George and Miu entered their new room and found it to be a modest space.
Two beds, a few dressers and what not and a decently sized work desk and chair made of some fine wooden material that was smooth to the touch and seemingly very sturdy as well.
"We got Isekai'd." Miu said as she crawled onto her bed and laid down over the fur covers.
"It seems like it. But maybe that isn't such a bad thing. This world seems to be a dungeon and dragons world so there is going to at least be some fun to have, and that gold dude said we have videogame powers, right?" George asked as Miu sat up.
"If its anything like the fanfics and manga's we should be able to just summon up the information with our minds or vocal commands." Miu said as both of them focused for a minute before seeing status screens appear in front of both of them.

"Well, our stats aren't very balanced." George said as both of them looked at each other's status screens and also took note of the difference in experience points. George did a lot more running than Miu since he had to carry her for a while which means that simply running had generated experience points for them.
"This is interesting. This kind of RPG style screen means that we also could get perks and skills when we level up in addition to other skills, we could have access to." Miu said as George nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, but the question is how long it will take us to level up or if we can even survive in this world to level up at all. A world of dungeons and dragons can get pretty hardcore, or it can be a light comedy adventure for all we know." George said back as he sat on his own bed.
"We don't have enough information." Miu said before both of them laid down on their respective beds.
"We need to hit up a nearby library and learn everything that we can and if we can use some books as skill books that means we could be walking into a stockpile of abilities as well." George said with a smirk. "You know what that means."
"Its time to start grinding." Miu said with a serious expression on her face almost as if an aura of fire had suddenly surrounded her.
"Let's grind later though. I'm exhausted." George said before the aura around Miu disappeared as she got out of bed before hoping into her brother's bed as she simply gave him a giant hug.
"Grinding will happen later than. You just rest." Miu said as George rested his arm over his sister.
"Thanks sis." George replied and somehow in someway both of them ended up taking naps at the exact same time while thinking about the possibilities they had in this new magical world they found themselves in.
Realm of the God's
"This is strange even for you." A thunderous voice said as Xam floating in a place of golden light and was surrounded by several chairs elevated to massive heights as people in dark robes sat on each chair.
"This world already has plans set in motion." Another robbed figure said.
"The plans set in motion don't make the rules of the game fair. So, I decided to even things out a bit." Xam replied calmly as one robed figure slammed his fist down into his arm rest.
"Who cares about fairness. We are doing what is necessary. Both worlds will be dealt with." The angry figure said as Xam chuckled.
"You're saying that as if you've already won. Both earths deserve a chance to prove themselves worthy of life. So, I simply took two of the best gamers from Earth One and placed them in Earth Two so both worlds can prove that they can win a game rigged against them." Xam explained.
"And what if both of those humans die permanently?" A calmer voice asked.
"If that's the case than I will no longer interfere and let all of you destroy the worlds." Xam said before he spoke up once more. "But I will say this. You should never underestimate two of the best gamers that Earth One has ever produced."
End
A/N: Okay a new story set in a Dungeons and Dragons reality where both versions of Earth are at risk of destruction from the gods. Who knows how this crazy story is going to end and if anyone asks than I can safely tell you that this story is the product of me getting inspired by the anime 'No Game No Life' because it is pretty funny and enjoyable.
Anyway, please fav, follow and review.
