Wedding Night
Takes place post Season 7 Episode 16
—-
After saying goodbye to all of their guests and spending a little more time alone on the dancefloor, Mike and Rachel made a swift exit up to their hotel room at the Plaza to properly enjoy each other's company without having to entertain others.
After consummating their marriage, leaving them both a little breathless and the hotel room messier than when they entered, they laid in bed staring at each other and both just took a minute to relish the moment that they had been waiting for, for so long. They had truly been through everything to get to this moment: Mike hiding his secret, finally telling her, the file room, Stanford vs Columbia, meeting the parents, Logan and of course, Prison. Obviously, moving to Seattle was looming over both of their heads so this night was the last night that they could just be with each other without having to worry about work or the impending move to the other side of the country.
After both catching their breath and getting redressed to an 'acceptable' state, they decided what better thing to do than finish their wedding cake. They also made the decision that they did not need plates or cutlery. So here they are, sat on the hotel bed, wearing dressing gowns, eating cake with their bare hands. And if they had smeared cake over each other's faces, then no one needed to know.
"Thank you for today. Thank you for being here with me and agreeing to spend the rest of your life with me" exclaimed Mike, breaking Rachel out of her daydream (although it was more night now).
"You never have to thank me for that Mike, I can't think of anyone else I'd rather spend my life with, I love you Mr Ross"
"I love you more, Mrs Ross"
"Nope that's not possible" Rachel laughed
"It most certainly is" Mike promised and went in for the kiss as Rachel took the opportunity to smear his face with cake.
"That's not very nice! I'm trying to be kind here" Mike pretended to be offended as Rachel cut him off with a kiss, a proper one this time.
"So what's next for us then Rach?"
"Well we'll pack everything up and move to Seattle and then start making babies" Rachel said, with a playful tone.
"Why wait until Seattle for that?" Mike responded as he started undoing her dressing gown and their lips met for the millionth time that night. Rachel played along with Mike's eagerness, going in for another round - it certainly wouldn't be the last that night.
Let's just say that breakfast with Robert Zane the next morning was a very awkward affair as Mike and Rachel could do with some practice on how to cover up certain 'marks'.
