Hello again! Ducky's back for another chapter. I know it hasn't been very long since I posted my last one, but I've got a bunch of free time on my plate and decided to write another chapter for you guys. I also am still very excited about getting my first review so I would greatly appreciate it if any of you readers would review! And like delecttric, if you do, you get a shoutout in the next chapter (unless you're a guest, hehe)! Anyway, thanks again for at least reading, it always makes my day to see more views of my stories. Alright I've talked enough.

Onward to chapter 3!

Glory's (POV)

Takes place while in the fog

"Where are you?" I hear Clay ask. This fog is so thick I can barely see anything, not even my own four talons.

I'm about to respond when something pricks my neck. I flinch. When I look down at it, I realize it's some kind of dart. Almost immediately, I feel drowsy. My eyelids are drooping and I can't shake the feeling of sleep as it washes over me. My vision blurs and I fall to the ground. Right before I close my eyes and let the sleep take over, I catch a blurry glimpse of two red dragons swooping in and grabbing my wings and body.

Then the world goes black.

Two hours later…

The sound of clanking metal startles me awake. My eyes open, but I can barely see. My vision is fuzzy and I can hardly identify solid objects. Everything just looks like a mish-mash of colors. I raise my head to try and get a better look of where I am. That's when I realize I have an excruciating headache. My mind is clouded and I can't think straight.

What's wrong with me? I think, flopping my head back onto its original resting place. Apparently I am laying on a hard slab of rock and bang my head against it, causing my already throbbing headache to become unbearable.

I squeeze my eyes shut and inhale deeply, trying to clear my mind. That only makes my mind more hazy and the smell of smoke fills my nostrils. It makes me dizzy.

I try to roll over onto my side but chains on all my limbs and wings prevent me from doing so. I groan. My back hurts from laying on the hard, bumpy stone for a long time.

How long have I been here? I wonder. I look around as best as I can and try to pick out where I am. My vision is still blurred but it's slowly getting better. I notice there are no windows and no light, so there's no way for me to guess the time of day.

I lay back down and try to fall back asleep. I'm hoping to just sleep all the pain and misery away.

One hour later…

My eyes shoot open. The smoke smell is still lingering in the air, but for some reason it's harder for me to smell. That's when I realize I'm muzzled.

Why am I muzzled? I am very confused. It must be because of my venom.

My vision is still a little blurred but it's clear enough to assess where I am. I'm in some kind of cave. The entrance is blocked by hefty metal bars. A singular lock with a keyhole hangs from the very last bar of the set. The cave seems to be a cell for prisoners. It's not very big but has enough room to stand up and take a few steps.

I see other cells across from mine. A SeaWing, IceWing, and two SandWings are currently also imprisoned. There are more prisoners, but they are out of my line of view. Near what seems to be the entrance of this dungeon, a fire is burning.

That's what's causing all the smoke. I turn my attention to the bars, trying to figure a way out. Just then, I hear footsteps walking into the dungeon. Two SkyWing guards, one of them burly and big and the other one extremely skinny, walked past my cell. They were talking in hushed voices, but not quiet enough that Glory couldn't hear.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea," the skinny one says.

"Look, Windrift, we don't question our orders," the burly one says. Glory's brows crease together in confusion. Orders from who? Scarlet? Was she not dead? Or were they taking orders from someone else?

"But, Asteroid, Scarlet said–" the skinny one named Windrift starts.

"It doesn't matter what Scarlet said. We take orders from Ruby," Asteroid states firmly.

Scarlet's alive? Who's Ruby? Are there two SkyWing queens? The questions were popping into my head faster than I could answer or even think about them. I take a deep breath. Then I realize something and my scales turn a pale green color.

If Scarlet's not dead, she's coming for us because I sprayed her with my venom. She's coming for me.

And then it hits me.

That must be why I'm here and not the others. It's because I was the one who hurt Scarlet. I'm the one to blame, to be punished. And my fate is coming soon, because I'm back in the SkyWing palace, a prisoner just like before.

I comprehend all of this, then fall back onto the stone, breathing shallowly. I'm in real danger.

By now, the guards have passed my cell and are circling around the dungeon. They must be just checking on the prisoners and making sure they're staying under control.

Well, that's what I think until they unlock the SeaWing's cell and pull him out. The SeaWing thrashes and roars angrily, trying to resist but the guards hold him down while unlocking his bindings and from the ground but now from his limbs. That way, he can't run or move very fast with all the weight dragging him down.

The guards carry him out. I wonder where they're taking him and if they might do that to me. I try not to think about it too hard. My friends will come and rescue me, won't they. But I don't know how they could without getting caught and captured themselves.

Two new guards enter the dungeon and were walking close to my cell, which is the closest to the entrance. Assuming they were going to pass me, I just stay still and decide to focus very intensely on a loose pebble.

But to my utmost surprise, the guards turn a key in the lock hole and slide the bars open. I swivel my head from side to side, looking for an escape, even though I'm binded down.

The guards unlock the chains on my limbs from the ground but keep them on me, like they did with the SeaWing. They don't unlock my muzzle, though. They must be afraid that I'll spray them like I did with Scarlet.

One of the guards grabs my right wing and arm and tugs me to my feet, but I resist and scratch him with my left talon. He jumps back, letting go of me, and raises his left wing where I scratched him to inspect the severity of the cut.

I snarl as best as I can with the muzzle at the other guard, hoping to scare him off. I can tell he's more frightened than before but doesn't show it.

He grabs my left wing and motions for the other guard to grab the other one. I don't know where they're taking me, but wherever it is, it doesn't seem good. So I continue to protest. I claw, thrash, and whack the guards with all my might.

The guards finally realize I will be very difficult and shoot me with another one of those darts. I almost instantly fall asleep, but I see the horrified faces of the other prisoners just in time as the guards carry me out.

Then everything goes black, and I have no idea where I'm going.

Thank you for reading! That was chapter 2. Hope you enjoyed it. Reviews are encouraged! I just want to say, if you have a Wings of Fire character that you made up and want me to add it in, just leave a review and I will totally try to add it in. It could be in the next chapter or in a few chapters, we'll see where your character fits in. Thanks again for reading and please review!

See ya in the next one.

Ducky :)
