Hello everyone! It's Ducky! For this next chapter, if you guys were thinking of the POVs in order, you'd think Clay was next. And yeah, he would be. But I want to tell the story from Glory's perspective for this chapter because she's in a different setting and separated from the rest. And then next chapter, I'll do Clay's POV. So this is my plan: Every two chapters, it will be Glory's POV and the other four will be rotating in this order: Clay, Tsunami, Starflight, Sunny. Alright, that's all I wanted to tell you guys!

Now, onto chapter 6.

Glory's (POV)

I could feel the guards dragging me on the hard stone floor of the SkyWing palace. The rock was agonizing against my throbbing head, yet I still couldn't shake the feeling of sleep off.

Willing myself to do so, I slowly and painfully opened my right eye a crack. My left eye seemed to be unable to be opened so I didn't try.

From what I could see through the crack of my eyelid, I was moving down a long hall made of pure stone. This didn't seem like the inside of the palace. Blurry blobs of yellowish-orange light were mounted on the walls in a clean line all throughout the hall. They were torches, but I only knew from memory of seeing them in this order, not because I could see them at the moment, which I barely could.

The guards had a firm grip on my arms and wings, but they just let my head flop from side to side and hit the rocky floor beneath me.

They were dragging me on my underbelly, which was scraping uncomfortably on the ground. Thin streaks of blood stain the gray floor.

The hall seems to go on forever. Although I can't really tell because my vision is so bad and my headache is agonizing, I'm pretty sure the setting isn't changing; just the same old rocky gray tunnel lit by torches.

My underbelly feels raw–very raw. So raw to the point where I can't stand it anymore. I twist and turn and try to roll over so that I'm being dragged on another part, not my underbelly. The guards seem to find me very difficult.

I feel one of them loosen their grip on me. He seems to be searching for something.

After a few seconds, he regains his firm grip on my wing and arm, seeming to have found what he was looking for.

I'm still not satisfied with the position I'm in, as my underbelly is still being rubbed. As I begin my twisting fit once more, the guard that had previously loosened his grip on me lets go of my right wing and raises something above my head.

Before I have time to react or even get a sense of what's going on, a rock smashes down onto my head.

Because of all the darts I've been shot at and their horrible side effects, I blackout instantly, not able to take the pain and force of the rock. My skull feels nearly broken.

By the time I'm able to open my eyes, I find myself in some kind of room. It's not made of cold hard rock like the tunnel, but rather marble etched with rubies.

I'm laying on a soft camel fur carpet with cushions all around. Tapestry artwork decorate the walls of this room, which I still have no idea what it is. Am I still in the SkyWing palace? Probably.

Just then, I hear footsteps coming my way. I'm still muzzled and my snout is starting to feel sore from the metal.

Two guards–the same ones that escorted me here–burst through the door. They're sporting sharpened spears and heavy metal chest plates. Are they scared of me? Why would they be wearing such protective gear?

I twist my body around so I'm facing the door. Almost immediately, the guards pin me down with their razor-sharp talons.

Two more guards come through the door–I recognize them. Windrift and Asteroid, the ones who carried that desperate SeaWing from the dungeons.

But then, someone else walks in the room straight behind them. And I recognize her. It's Queen Scarlet. What's she doing here?

Then, another set of guards walks in behind her. Why so many guards? Protection for her from me? I'm muzzled, what can I do to hurt you? My thoughts are directed at the awful queen. I'm feeling rather agitated that she has brought so many guards into this room with her.

"Well, well, well. Welcome back to the palace. I've missed my little pet," Scarlet sneers, taking a step towards me. She cocks her head slightly, and that's when I see it. The spot where I hit her on the side of her face is pure black and scales and flesh look eaten away. It's a horrible sight. She must be so angry at me for ruining her beauty.

As scared as I am of the queen of the SkyWings, probably one of the most powerful queens in Pyrrhia, I am determined not to show it, so I just glare at her, my emerald green eyes piercing her flesh with their deadly stare.

She seems intimidated, but also doesn't show it.

"Well, now that you're back," she starts in her slow, slithering voice, "I've got something special planned for you."

The pit of fear inside of me grows all too rapidly. I know that when Scarlet says she's got a special surprise for someone, it's never a good thing.

I try to roll away from Scarlet, who's coming very close to me, but the two guards pinning me down prevent me from doing so.

Queen Scarlet is now so close that she's practically whispering in my ear. "And it will be thrilling. One way or the other, I'll get rid of you, RainWing. You'll pay for what you've done. And I'll get my revenge." She then stands up suddenly and claps her two front talons together. "Well, that'll be all for now! I can't wait for tomorrow's events. It'll be thrilling! See you in the morning, RainWing!"

With that, Scarlet and four of the guards that came in walked out the door, cackling evilly. The two still pinning me down didn't let go, but loosened their grip.

Right then, I feel a familiar prick in my neck. Before unconsciousness takes over, one last thought pops into my mind.

I have to fight back.

Then all goes black.

OooooooooO

I wake up in a cell much like the one I was previously in. I can tell, however, based on what's beyond the metal bars blocking the entrance that it is not the same cell as before. It was darker, as no fires were lit in this dungeon. I realize then that I'm not chained down anymore. Well, mostly. A chain attached to my ankle and the ground keep me from trying to break through the bars and escape. However, I'm still muzzled.

I look around. In my line of view, no other cells are in sight. This must be a special dungeon for Scarlet's special prisoners. Like me.

This only makes me more nervous. To pass the time, I pace my cell, exploring it, although there really isn't anything to explore. A basin of water is in the right corner near the bars. I notice this chamber is a bit larger than the last with smoother rock and cleaner smelling air.

She must want to keep me as healthy as possible before her thrilling show, I think.

I look around a bit more. There are no windows, obviously, and no other way to determine the time of day. My vision isn't all that clear but I can see things still. When I stray too far to the edge of my prison, I'm pulled back suddenly and forcefully by the chain encasing my ankle. I stumble and fall, hitting the cold stone ground. The fall seems to trigger a headache that had been subsiding.

I grit my teeth and groan, rubbing my sore temples. It seems that each time a dart hits me, the effects get worse and worse.

Then something comes to mind, an awful, unfortunate thought.

What if I'm like this during her thrilling plan? What if she's planning for me to not be able to defend myself because of my state of health?

These thoughts scare me, and I curl up in a ball. The one thing I want most right now is to be with my friends, the dragons I grew up with, spent all of my dragonethood with. My eyes become glassy with tears. I try to hold them in but, after a few minutes I just can't. The emotions spill out in big fat droplets from my eyes, and I don't even care. No one can see me, no one else is down here. Just me, myself, and I.

After about an hour, my crying has subsided a bit, but teardrops are still falling like rain. I can't help it. And I know that my friends will rescue me. I know they will. But Queen Scarlet is very hard to sneak past, so I doubt they'll have much luck and just end up prisoners like myself.

The tears are still falling when I finally fall asleep, curled up in a ball, begging silently for the warmth of my friends.

OooooooooO

The sound of a key turning awakens me. I peep open one eye. My vision is still fuzzy from the darts and all the crying. I look up and see two guards at the entrance of my cell. They look like they were forced awake, based on their grogginess and their eyelids, which are struggling to stay open.

I blink a few times and realize that my face is still tear-stained and wet. I look around. Although there are no windows, I'm guessing it's early morning because of the guard's tired looks and the fact that Scarlet said she would be seeing me in the morning.

Both guards walk in. One is holding a spear and a key around his neck. The other has a spear tucked under his wing and a medium-sized metal ball with a lock on it. What the heck is that for?

The guard with the key walks over to me and unlocks the part of the chain attaching it to the ground. The other guard walks up and hooks the metal ball onto the end of my ankle chain. It's locked securely around me. I guess this is supposed to keep me from running. I can't exactly run with a giant weight slowing me down.

The guards then wrap their arms securely around mine and lead me out of the dark prison cell.

I'm led up a dark narrow tunnel that curves around and upwards.

We emerge into an open-roofed room and light floods into my dull scales and eyes, causing me to shut them momentarily.

When I open them again, I see a fancy chair. Not fancy enough to be a royal throne, but close enough. And on top of that throne is Queen Scarlet of the SkyWings.

"Well, hello again, RainWing," Scarlet scoffs, putting emphasis on the word RainWing. I just glare at her with the coldest, most unwelcoming expression I can pull off.

Scarlet ignores my cold stares and continues. "Today is a thrilling day. I'll have an intriguing show to watch, oh, how wonderful."

I try to speak through my muzzle, which the guards did not take off, but my words come out in a bunch of mish-mashed sounds.

"What was that?" Scarlet taunts, purposely annoying me. She laughs. "Well, anyway. Today we will have something very unusual. Something our audience–or even myself–has never witnessed before." She rubs her talons together slowly and maliciously.

My eyes are watering from fear and my vision seems to have blurred even more. My head as well as my heart are pounding at the same thunderous rate. I'm nervous about the revelation of what the thrilling event is going to be. The event that involves me. The event that Scarlet is practically determining my fate with.

Then she speaks once more after a short pause. "Today…"

I blink several times, trying to clear my vision.

"Today, we will have the RainWing fight against Peril of the SkyWings."

So that was chapter 6 for y'all. Hope you enjoyed it. I've got a couple of things I wanna say before we pop off.

Firstly, updates will most likely be a bit slower from now on, maybe once or twice a week, because of school, homework, sports, and other extracurricular activities. So expect a chapter once or twice a week.

And secondly, I'm holding a poll on my profile so people can vote on what fandom I should base my next story on. Options I listed are: Ninjago, Camp Cretaceous, Power Rangers, Wings of Fire, Hunger Games, or any crossovers between these fandoms.

I still have no idea when I'll be closing the poll. Maybe once I get enough votes. Anyways, thanks for reading!

See ya in the next one.

Ducky :)
