Bowie never wanted it to end like this.
He never approved of Emma's choice to take back Chase as her boyfriend at first, but as her friend, he was willing to be supportive and give the benefit of the doubt Chase had changed.
It was soon revealed Chase was apologizing over a stupid candy bar and not the fact that he could have killed her when Emma rightfully dumped him again. Bowie was relieved, maybe Emma just made a small error in judgement.
But no, apparently after some "grand gesture of selflessnesss" Emma ran right back to Chase after EVERYTHING he did to her. He was nothing but a dollar store peacock and a failed blog of rancid hot dog water and he let Emma know that.
Apparently for daring to judge her relationship with Chase, it was enough to end their friendship.
Fine, Bowie didn't care about her. He didn't care about how she made him laugh and how comfortable they felt around each other. No, if Emma could throw away their friendship so easily, so could Bowie.
Bowie did not shed a single tear when making his vote for Emma, that lone drop sliding off his cheek was merely sweat was what he would keep telling himself.
At the elimination ceremony, when Julia was putting Emma on the spot for killing what was apparently a ninja turtle, Emma asked if he was still with her.
Bowie almost wanted to stand by who used to be his best friend, but all she wanted was to have someone behind her, Bowie was just an outlet for that.
"I think I need some space." Bowie slid away from the blonde.
Bowie had a life ahead of him, he was not about to set it aside for someone who wanted to throw away her's.
It was a little rough seeing Emma leave, but Bowie refused to show any remnant of sadness.
Once Julia, Priya, and Millie left the campfire, he looked at the notebook in his hands. It was Millie's unpublished book about everything wrong about their generation, and a lot of nasty things were wrote about Priya. Bowie smiled, this would most definitely be useful for his game.
However, once he made it to the end, he saw a whole page dedicated to praising Priya and how great she was. So what? Did that just mean that everything Millie wrote suddenly wasn't true? That she can go ahead and be easily forgiven by being so fake with Priya for so long?
Bowie angrily ripped the last page out and let it drift into the fire. His eyes widened at what he did, had he gone too far?
Bowie angrily shook his head, what he did was just fine. He had a game to win. No friendship was getting in the way of that. He learned from that mistake.
