3rd Person (P.O.V)
Kagome Higurashi felt as if she was floating. She could hear her name being called, slowly opening blue eyes to see Midoriko stand in front of her smiling.
"Midoriko what's going on?". Kagome asked confused looking at her fellow priestess.
"Kagome, this was the only way I was able to get in contact with you as now that the jewel no longer exist I urgently needed to talk to you". Midoriko looking at her gravely which made Kagome stomach sink.
"There isn't another demon that we have to fight?". Kagome asked exhausted. It's been a long few years and she wanted to just have a break and recover as she was still in the middle of debating whether or not to stay in the feudal era.
After some long hard thinking, her relationship with Inuyasha wasn't going to go anywhere it was somewhat toxic. All they ever did was fight no matter how much she loved him.
Another reason for her hesitation was her son Shippo, she didn't want to leave him behind and didn't know if it was possible for him to come with her to her time.
"There isn't a demon this time, Unfortunately in less than three years your time will have an airborne virus manifest. Anyone who is scratched or bitten will die from a fever and their body will reanimate". Midoriko said sadly, Kagome looked at her in horror.
"There isn't any way to stop it?". Kagome asked hoping for some kind of solution.
"I'm sorry Kagome". Midoriko said to a devastated Kagome but wasn't a given the opportunity to take any further as her fellow priestess continued. "Your time in the feudal era has come to an end. I want you to return to your time I have seen the future. You will thrive by rebuilding a small settlement, but don't try to save everyone as not everyone is redeemable". Midoriko said as Kagome mind was all over the place until her son face popped into her mind.
"What about my son?". Kagome whispered devastated at the thought of never seeing her son again.
"When you awaken you will receive a beaded bracelet that will allow you to take your son with you to the future. The bracelet with help with cloaking his demon side, and look like a normal child when on. You have three years to get as much supplies as you can, on your bed at home will be a backpack that is bottomless. I recommend you start working on sutras and bracelets as with your spiritual ability to purify demons, you can purify the dead. Work hard on staying active and gather weapons that don't make any noise". Midoriko explained Kagome head was flooded with all the information.
"Where do you recommend a start the settlement?". Kagome asked resigned to her future.
"I recommend you head to Atlanta, Georgia at the beginning of August as of the 26th of the same month will be when everything falls". Midoriko said sadly. "Kagome when your back in your time go into the bag I left for you. There will be a book on carvings that will be useful and tools. You can use trunks to preserve food. With the right carvings it can also be shrunken or enlarge when needed with just a bit of your spiritual power. You will also have a tent I've taken from another world that when entered is a home. There are instructions on how to make others inside of the book for future use". Midoriko said as Kagome felt an oncoming headache with even more information.
"Alright, is there anything else?". Kagome asked rubbing the side of her temple. Not wanting to be rude but wanting this conversation to be over.
"Just one more thing because of all you've been through and will go through, the gods have decided to bestow upon you a mate. You will find him in Georgia. He is called a police officer. If you choose not to heed my word of going to America, he will not survive as he will be involved with a woman that will fall pregnant with his child. When her husband returns she will play them both. Your mate with everything that happened will start to lose his sanity and will get killed without you". Midoriko explained watching Kagome face contort from horrified to pain. "Good luck Kagome". Midoriko said not giving Kagame a chance to reply as she disappeared.
