The doctor was during. She'll be okay, he knows, but she loved being her. Why did she have to die now? She sighed as she looked up at Yaz. They were sitting on the roof of the T.A.R.D.I.s enjoying their ice cream. The Doctor didn't know what to say. Should she tell Yaz that she loves her? Or does she already know? "I love your planet. It's like a home to me," The Doctor said quietly. Yaz smiled at her. However, she didn't say anything. "I'm happy you are by my side," The Doctor added looking at Yaz. Yaz had tears in her eyes. The Doctor didn't blame her. It was a long few days. Or has it been only one day? She didn't know.
"We saved it again," Yaz said echoing what she asked earlier about how many times the Doctor saved their planet. She wore a tearful smile on her face that was hard for the Doctor to look at. However, The Doctor returned the smile before she cleared her dry throat.
"I'm scared Yaz," The Doctor whispered. Yaz looked at her sharply. The Doctor never really says her feelings, and this came kind of a shock to Yaz.
"Do you want me to stay with you? I know you said that you had to do this alone. But I can stay with you. If you need me," she said slowly. Tears were falling out of her eyes and on her cheeks now. The time lord sighed but she didn't respond. Instead, she winched and closed her amber eyes.
"I'm burning Yaz. I…. I wish I was honest with you and the others "Now it's too late," the Doctor said, voice getting quieter. Yaz sighed. The Doctor avoided the question again. Why did she do that? Yaz loved her but that was the one thing that she hated.
"Yaz, I don't know what will happen. I'm not safe for you to be around me anymore. I…I love… you… Yaz. I…" the Doctor winched again, cutting her off. She sighed again before she finished her ice cream. "I…I think I'm ready. But I don't want to die," The doctor said as she climbed back into the T.A.R.D.I.S
They hugged once they got back into the T.A.R.D.I.S. However, they didn't say goodbye. Just like they said. They will see each other again. They both knew it. Even though they didn't know how long it would take. Yaz pulled out of the Doctor's arms and closed her eyes.
"I…I love you," Yaz whispered before she walked to the doors. The Doctor smiled sadly before she shook her head.
"I…I love you too, Yaz," the Doctor whispered as Yaz opened the doors. They looked at each other before the Doctor closed the doors.
The Doctor wiped her eyes before she shook her head. "I won't forget you Yaz. Or the fam," The doctor said to herself before she set the T.A.R. someplace. "I don't forget anyone," she added closing her eyes.
