After the bickering between the sage and the teenage Sword saint, the party begins their journey in the starting city they were in.
"This looks like the capital of Lugunica." Prince Lugunica said after waking for a while.
"Sure, but have to ask, why are you still guys following me?" Subaru said looking at the four ghosts following him. "Not I am against having the three Legendary heroes following me, it's just don't you have family and other things you need to get back to?"
"You see, apparently this guy thought it was a good idea cast a spell that he has no idea what would happen. " Hoshin pointed at the sage being dragged on the ground, "and apparently after he cast that spell, he lost his ability to use his gate."
"How am I supposed to know something like this would happen!" Flugel yells at his bro partner "Also, to answer why we are following. We don't have a choice." He points himself "You see that it looks like am being dragged against my will by sword saint here" pointing at the closest person to him. " but really an invisible force seems to just. well... pulls me back."
Flugel then stands up suddenly, "Watch this." he said about to do a sprint. Everyone looks at the sage at what he is about to do.
the sage then bolts down the traffic, as he was running he phases through carts and lizard beasts alike. it seems as if he was about to make it to the other side.
then suddenly
"AHHHHHHH" the sage was pulled by the cloak and suddenly was pulled back to the group.
*Splat*
Eating the wall pavement by face planting it, but without damaging the structure. it lasted for a few seconds before gravity take hold and slowly slide him down with his head touching the ground first. then his back and leg fall down and also hit the pavement.
"Sorry about this Subaru-San, but we have to be following you for a while." Theresia said with her fist on her heart and bowed before him. "You forgive us for the circumstance they are in." she ended her apology while still bowing to him.
"Hey hey, don't worry about it," Subaru said waving his hand at the sword saint. "I am sorry for dragging you three heroes with me." he said bowing at the three standing ghosts and one ghost on the ground. "It just means we have to be friends and get along with one another! "
Theresia seems happy about her apology being accepted but it only lasted for a few seconds to realize that Lugunica-sama is not counted for the apology.
"But what about the prince?" Like a broken record, Theresia again asks about the respect of the prince.
Said the prince letting out a sigh "Theresia please stop. I am not long the fourth prince of Lugunica the day that I died. Please drop it" he said accepting his fate of not being acknowledged as someone important while seeing the one of legends right beside him and the other one on the ground dusting of his cloak.
"But Lugunica-Sama."Theresia said sounding disheartened about the prince accepting his fate.
Flugel shot up suddenly interrupting the moment "And now with that, we will be stuck with you. Now, we just have to learn to live with each other for the time being." the sage said answering Subaru's question.
"oooooo! Then can you teach me magic?" Subaru asked the great sage for his wisdom with stars in his eyes.
"Sure, thing kid." quickly accepting the request within a heartbeat "The first you need to know about magic is tha-"
"LOOK OUT THERE IS KID ON THE ROAD!" cries a random pedestrian pointing at the road.
everyone looks to see a kid on the road about to be hit by the lizard beast and cart heading straight toward them!
"I got this!" Subaru said. then does a strange arm motion before suddenly kneeling and pushing his palm out "Hhhaa!" as if to call out his spell.

The cart still heads to the cart! the cart driver does her best to slow the cart, but it can't cart because the momentum of the cart is pushing forward is too strong against the lizard creature, also the other cart behind her so she can't do an emergency stop unless she wants to risk of damaging her cart.
Suddenly a hero came from the audience, a knight jumping into traffic, and with luck on their side made it to the boy on the ground just in time, just as the lizard creature is about to run over the boy, the knight pounced and rolled him and the boy over the way from the lizard creature that just barely missed the boy and knight entirely.
however, with the extra momentum, the knight had to still roll over protecting the boy with his body. with each roll the knight rolled slower and slower before a complete halt... the knight then rises his fist in the air in triumph!
the pedestrian cries in cheers for the knight that save the boy. while Subaru was still in his strain posed with the four ghosts looking at him funny.
"Subaru? What were you trying to do?" Hoshin look at the boy with a very confused look.
"... I still looked cool at least?" Subaru said hoping that his ghost companion would complement his pose.
there was only the sound of pedestrian cheering for the knight walks to return the kid back to his mother.

"*snivel" Subaru seemly disappointed about not saving that kid.
"I mean it's that thought that counts, right?" said the former prince trying to cheer up his pal.
meanwhile, behind them was the three adults.
"*snivel* *snivel*"Flugel cries in a depressed state with Hoshin trying to cheer him up.
"There there, Flugel-Sama it is fine that your student wasn't able to save that boy using magic, you just only agreed to start checking him just that second." Hoshin uses logic to cheer him up.
"*snivel* But, he is my student. He was meant to save the day like my apprentice in when I taught her *snivel*." Flugel rebuttal Hoshin's argument.
The sword saint let out a disappointed sigh at the boy and the men she was sandwiched between.
"Hey boy are you interested in an appa?" said the appa vendor.
the boy stops his depressed state for a moment to look at the appa vendor.
he then looks at the appa, but only sees apple.
"These are apple." Subaru points at the apples
"Nope, these are appa, the fresh you can get. two copper coins each, a deal if you are asking me." appa vendor.
The boy only stare at the apple for a bit.
then Hoshin joins in Subaru on his looking at the apple...or appas
"The appas are regularly sold three for one copper coin, does he think we are an idiot." Hoshin said feeling like that appa vendor is a scammer for selling appa at a crazy markup.
however, did not listen to what the merchant master said.
"Sorry, but I am completely broke right now." Subaru said with pride in his voice.
Suddenly the appa vender turned that smile into a frown.
"Then get out of here, I have no interest in window shoppers!" the appa sent his message to the poor boy that was honest with him.

luckily there were no injuries, just a bit of ruffing, and scare for the poor boy.
after a bit of walking, the group was a bathroom stall for men and women.
"Let have you wash upped for a bit it will be ok." the Ex-prince said to the boy he is comforting.
'Ah, this brings back memories. it was the time that cruch dragged me to a female bathroom that one time and made me dress as a lady. this cheered Felix from his common cold.' Lugunica reminisces about the simpler time as a child and while spending time with his friends.
However unbeknownst to the two of them they walked into the girls' side of the bathroom.
the moment both the boys enter girls' side of the bathroom every female in that room stops what they where doing to look at the intruder.
In their eye only a single boy has just entered the girl side of the bathroom in shock. on boys' side, they looked at the girls in shock, because they had mistaken that this was the boys bathroom.
then the ex-prince's eye widens in the realization.
"AHHHH" "Pervert!" "Stalker!" these were all the various reactions of the female in the bathroom. but only one of the female able to react in defence of the honour of the other females.
this cat girl screaming about the boy in the bathroom ran to the boy at the entrance, then swing her open paws to the boy's face!
"AAAHHHHHH"

It was in the real world only one voice called out in pain. but in another world four additional voice calls out in pain as the boy was slapped in the face.
after that incident that group tried to move from that, with the cheek still stinging from that slap.
as they were walking over a bridge the two legends either side of the poor Subaru in hope to defend him from the prince that make them feel the sting on their cheeks.
"Lugunica-San, I know you tried your best to cheer up Subaru-San, but going into the girl bathroom should not be one of them." Hoshin said giving the "talk" with said prince.
"I wasn't I was intended, honest! I just accidentally entered out of habit!" the prince hold hand up to defend himself. " I just remembered the times where a friend of mine, keep asking me for help to look more feminine for another friend of mine! so we often go to the women side of the bathroom! Honest!" the prince side hopefully to restore his name.
Sadly, only a sword saint believed him. The rest just looked at him with dead they don't believe him as they where walking.
"Don't worry. even when don't believe you, I believe you!" Theresia said tying to cheer the prince up.
Sadly it didn't work and the prince before had barely standing, now he slouches down while looking at the ground like it was a great thing to look at.
it lasted for a few seconds before a mysterious force begins to drag the prince within a certain range of Subaru.
the moment the prince becomes within the same distance of the sword saint the unprepared sword saint lost her footing and eats concrete as she failed to stay within a certain distance of Subaru, and then was also being dragged with treatment as the prince. she was able to not have teeth grind on the ground by lifting up her face, but sadly her dress was not saved from that treatment.
"Hey Subaru, I know that you are down with your luck, but you know something that would cheers us up?" said the Hoshin while pointing to Flugel as well.
"What?" Subaru said with the sting ok his cheek almost gone.
"Beer!" Flugel and Hoshin cheered in union. then pointing to the building with a salon door.
"I never had a beer before also, aren't you supposed to be twenty years old to drink?" Subaru asking the adult.
Flugel and Hoshin looked at each other like they could not believe what the boy just said.
"Don't worry about it! you just need an adult to prove you for a drink!" Said Hoshin patting Subaru's back with Flugel agreeing what his pal said.
"If you said so." Subaru said trusting the adult with him. then walking to the building that the two men were pointing to. once reaching his destination he stopped, and take a deep breath.
While this happen the sword saint was able to recover from being dragged and turned her attention to the prince and thinks of another plan to cheer him up.
once Subaru has the courage he pushed the salon door, only be greeted with a building with only lizard people, different from the lizard creature pulling the cart. They were all staring at the boy that entered the building.
"Hi I am int-" Subaru tried to go in but was stopped with one of the lizard people stopping him.
"We only serve demi-human only, so Scram!" A lizard person pushed the boy out of the building.
Sadly it did not stop there, the boy tried his best to regain his footing be stumble to the concrete rail. what he does notice that he was stumbling his way to the concrete rails was a river that prevents carts and dumb people from falling over.
"Subaru!" Flugel and Hoshin called out to the boy in union to stop him from falling.
However, they were too late as Subaru suddenly tips over the concrete rails and fallen into the river below.
Flugel and Hoshin only looked in horror as the boy falls into the water. no, they were not afraid of Subaru getting hurt falling into a river.
*splash*
Once Subaru made a splash into the water, suddenly every ghost companying was dragged into the air only to be pulled into the rivered near where Subaru is splashed. both the ex-prince and sword saint look very confused why they are in the air. but the sage and merchantman know what will happen next.
finally, gravity is setting and all the ghost companion falls into the river.

However their splash is difference because it has a transparent look to it when that ghost companion splashed the water.
With that the boy, the heroes and the prince being to feel as if they were drowning. they tried to reach the surface to take a fresh air, but they still as if they are still drowning. Only once Subaru was able to resurface and take a breather was when the drowning feeling stopped.
Once they made it out everyone is drenched in water, then a sudden a wind blew on Subaru

Everyone is in the dark alleyway away from anything that could harm the poor boy that was transported into this world.
everyone I dried thank to Subaru choice of clothing that is able for him to dry faster, with Subaru dried the ghost quickly followed after. The one that was hurt the most was Subaru's pride as a Isekaier.
"Well, I have to say that this is one exciting day of the day am I right?" Theresia tries her best to brighten the mood.
Everyone mood seems to be down, the sage, the merchantman, and the ex-prince seem down in their luck.
Subaru cries out in frustration.
"Dam it! why is this happening to me! I was summoned into another world and this is the treatment I get!" he said crying out to the heaven.
"I mean it to be expect for people not wealth, connection, or anything at all. but to be treated this bad, I would never expect." Lugunica said regretting that he didn't do more to improve the living condition of the citizens of Lugunica when we was alive.
"Subaru-San I know that very late to ask not but do you have anything on you that you could sell?" Hoshin said with hope in his eyes.
the once depress Mens and boy looked at the boy with hopeful eyes to the boy in front of them.
Opened the bag that he had on him the entire time. he pulls out a Miso Natton Noodle in a cup, and Cornpotage chips from his bag.
Everyone looks at the two Item with confused looks.
"Are these two Items worth anything?" Subaru said with hopeful look at the merchantman.
"What are these Items?" Hoshin wanting information that could be of use.
"This on right here is Noodle cup, you can eat a ready mean by pouring the packet and hot water to cook it. after waiting for a ten minutes, you get a ready mad meal in the photo here!" Subaru point at the photo on the cup.
"And this Cornpotage chips is a chip that taste like corn!"
after the explanation merchantman looks very disappointed at the item before him before letting out a sigh.
"Sorry Subaru-san I think at best we might be able to get three silver coins at most out of all this." Hoshin said with a defeated look point at the two Items. Flugel also has that same look.
"One silver coin for the chip bag, and two silver coin for the noodle cup"
Lugunica and Theresia, looked very confused of why they look so defeated. so Ex-Prince tapped on the merchant's shoulder.
"I am confused why is that a bad thing?" Lugunica asked the merchantman.
"Because if we where to sell this in the best case scenario we would get only three silver coin " Hoshin showing his the three finger in the air.
"A week in a cheap inn is around five copper coin but that without meal being provided, since you are the Prince I think you know how our cost will result in." Hoshin said to the prince.
"one silver coin equals twenty copper coin. if we where to rent a room to sleep in we would only have twelve weeks worth of living space or four months." with that realization that dawned on the prince he realized the situation that everyone is in. the same goes with the sword saint as well.
"But that with ony for living space, you did not count the food and miscellaneous stuff we need to entertain ourselves. if counting that, we have at least two weeks worth of coin wrapped into the two Item we have here. And that is the best-case scenario, realistically we would probably get one silver coin." Hoshin said pointing at the two items.
This dampens the mood even further making the prince and sword saint realized that what situation they were talking about is the best-case scenario.
The Ex-Prince looked at Subaru with looked at him with hopeful with puppy doll eye hoping there is more that Subaru have brought.
Subaru obliged, he rummaged through his jacket and running pants of anything to sell. until he was able to grab his hold cellphone.
"How this? is this worth anything?" Lugunica was the first to inform merchantman the about this new development.
Hoshin look up from his defeated looks, then when he make eye contact with the Subaru phone. The light seems to return beck to him.
"Is that a Meteors? " Hoshin seeing such beautiful device in from of him.
"Don't you mean metia" Lugunica tries to correct the merchantman.
"What is a Meteors or metia or whatever?" Ask subaru.
Hoshin opens to explain what a Meteors is, but he was beaten by the ex-prince
"A metia the term for any utensil allowing the use of magic to those whose Gates are non-functional for some reason. The form and usage of Metia vary greatly. Using - " Lugunica explain his rant before being cut off by the Hoshin in question.
"it a device that allows non-magic users use magic by using device a medium." Hoshin simplify what the prince is trying to say with a smug on his face.
Lugunica is puny face because his chance to be redeem has been ruined. but Hoshin doesn't mind it and turns back to the boy with a flip phone.
"Still please tell me that object can does something. " Hoshin wanting to confirm that is not just a expensive paper holder.
"This Flip phone is able to do many things. Like play music" Subaru play a ringtone from his device. Is amazed the entire ghost companion.
"Able to store moment with a simple flash. Theresia comes here!" Subaru calls out to Theresia while opening the camera app.
Theresia stands beside Subaru then suddenly a flash of light appeared. this dazed her as she was blinded temporarily.
but in the phone, it only took subaru as clear as it can get, and a red top and green and white blob beside him.
"That's creepy" Subaru comment seeing the photo showing the ghost that he captured in the phone. but showed to the group regardless.
"And if you have a duplicate you could also talk to other people at a distance!" finally ending in presentation by point at the phone with the call list showing a bunch of symbol the to ghost except for Hoshin and Flugel can understand.
"One top of a Time preserver, a Music Metia, It has a function of a Conversing Mirror as well?" asked Lugunica with the prince raising his hand like a student.
"I don't know what what anything you said means but I will assume it the same so yes." Subaru looks confused but just accept what the prince said.
The merchantman begins to put his merchant brain to work, think of the value with the information that was given to him. After a bit to time waiting the Merchantman smile with the biggest grin on his face.
"fifty holy coin would be a reasonable selling price, with probably eighty being the highest!" Hoshin said giving the number he has reached.
This brings joy to all the ghost in the alleyway. They found a way to not starve! however it seem that subaru sad that the most expensive this that he can sell was the one that held the memory of everything he was.
"Don't worry about it! even if we where to get a lower estimate offer, at minimum we would get at least twenty holy coin." Hoshin comfort the boy looking at his phone.
He stare at the phone he has on his hand for a bit ' so the chose is between keeping it as a memento and struggling with a risk of dying' looking at the phone with a smile before looking at the ghost doing some kind of dance ' or selling it for a new start in a new world.'
"Nice sell Metia, we will be taking that metia right now." a new voice came for the other side of the alleyway.
This made the every ghost and Subaru turn to the persons to reveal a twig person with a metal collar on his neck and as a vibe that want to shank him, to his left A tall chubby that seem to lived in the hood, and to his right A small midget.
"You will not be taking our one source for life!" Flugel Cries to the three potential thieves. running to them for a weak punch.
Sadly it does nothing as the ghost phases thought the twig thieves. but with the remaining momentum the sage the stumbles as he lost is footing but was able to catch himself for a but with a one legged hop three time before he fell.
"Did you feel something" as the twig guy felt a presence, before ignoring that feeling looking at the boy
"You don't happen to have any combat experience would you?" Lugunica asking Subaru with a worried look on her face.
"Nope" Subaru said with a pop on the "p". the Immediate response was the that ex-prince face seem paler now.
"Boy do you think you have a choice, Give us that Metia now or we will beat it out of you." the twig guy now threaten the boy after waking a few step toward him.
"YA YA, Give us the Metia and you will not be hurt." the midget repeat what the twig guy said also standing buy his buddy.
the big guy silently, yet intimidating walk beside the twig guy.
the most ghosts seem to panic as the boy they where with is about to get rob of their only lifeline in their ghost life.
However, Theresia seen to be cool and collected analyzing the potential attack Subaru could do and counterattack that the thievery might bring.
"Subaru, walk towards the twig guy, and take him out with a upper cut, and with the midget do a roundabout kick. retreat after that." Theresia gives out the order to the boy in question.
"Alright." Subaru then execute Theresia order and walk to the twig guy.
"See, now is that so hard." the twig guy let his guard down assuming that the boy has given up.
Subaru walked until the twig person was in front of him then he stopped.
"Subaru Punch!" the does a uppercut that punches the twig person in the chin. They were sent flying in the air, putting the two thieve in shock.
"Subaru Kick!" then Subaru does the roundabout kick against the midget, this knocks out his air and with the remaining momentum shots him to the wall, that then knocks him out as a bit of blood on the head appears.
Then with all that Subaru back tack near the location he once stood looking serious at the big man in front of him.
"Wow! I did not know I would hit that hard." Subaru looked surprised about the result of his action.
"That my Boy!" Flugel praises the student that just knock out the two thieve in one fell swoop.
"You bastard!" the big guy the goes run to the boy that took out his two buddies.
While the sword saint did not in instruction what to do next. Subaru was able to take the initiative and Subaru dodged the punch, then counterattack with another punch to the face. this cause the big guy to be dazed for a bit as he stubble to the area Subaru was standing, while Subaru uses that momentum to position himself beside the unconscious twig man.
"Subaru! the twig guy have the two knife on both side of this waist!" Flugel informs the boy of the information.
"Thank." with the big guy in a daze, Subaru took the chance and was able to get the knife that the twig guy had on him.
the big guy was able to recover but when he sees the boy again, he see that he now has his friend's knife on his hand. Now the boy has the upper hand.
"Look big guy, I know that you want my Metia, But I now have the upper hand right now." showing the knife in his had and the unconscious buddy to his side.
Then Subaru takes a few step back away from his two buddies.
"If you want to save you friends, I recommend giving up now and get way from here now." Subaru said point one of the knife toward him.
The big guy bare his teeth, but then run to his buddy and grabbed them one on each arm before running away though the other alleyway entrance.
"YOU DID IT MY BOY, YOU DID IT!" Flugel cheers in celebration of defeating against a three on one.
Hoshin and Lugunica then Jump in joy that Subaru was able to routed the thieve, then the Sword saint look at the boy with pride of what he accomplish, before approaching him.
"Not bad for a first time in combat." Theresia rest a hand on his shoulder.
Then there was clapping sound from the same alleyway the thief entered. Subaru raised his knife at the sound, but when he turned his head, he sees. a female version of the ex-prince, but less prince or in this case princess looking and while wearing something that lack cover with a red scarf and black strapped on her chest area.
"Why is a princess of Lugunica here? Did the Election for the throne been decided. or did we go back in time?" said the ex-prince looking very confused at the princess here.
Hearing the ex-prince comment with the small girl in front of subaru lowers his guard. not only that the Merchantman beam his eye on the little Nobel girl from the prince's comment
"Quick Subaru! Make a trade with miss Lugunica!" Hoshin asking the boy to do his bidding.
"Hoshin-San! Do you have no shame!" Theresia reprimand the Merchantman.
"I know it shameful but must get as much funding as we can get. If Lugunica-Sama was correct, then we must get as much as we can get." Hoshin defend his reason for trying to get the once of a opportunity they would get.
While the merchant and sword saint argue, the Sage and ex-prince watch how the boy will react to this situation.
"I have to admit Onii-chan, you seem the handle the three like nobody's business. Still though what is it do you have that make you want to risk your life for it?" the orange hair princess asked look very curios look.
"Sure." He said pulling out his Flip phone. "It is this Metia, it is capable taking moment using a flash." then he demonstrates the phone with a flash to the orange loli.
"Hey what are you trying to -" the orange princess go defensive but was cut off as subaru was able to show that indeed that the princess was captured in the small device.
"Is able to play music, Listen." then his plays a regular phone ringtone. this impresses the princess further on her interest in the small device.
"And if you have a duplicate, you will be able to call others." Subaru then finally concluded his sell pitch to the orange hair princess.
Soon the orange hair princess begins to have her thought process on about what to do. then she has "ah ha" moment.
"Onii-chan, if you would give me the Metia I would be able to sell to the highest bidder and you would be able get a cut of the deal. What do you say?" orange hair princess.
"Deal." Subaru then give the flip phone without a question. the orange hair princess. seemed to be surprised by this, that she needs as few second before she recovered.
"Thanks, Onii-chan wait right here as I get my guy to sell this Metia off. Live strong!" orange hair princess said as she jumps building from building.
"Yes! we will be so rich!" Subaru said celebrating of the moment He and that small princess has made the deal.
"Did you get the Holy coin?!" Hoshin stops arguing with the sword saint and turned his attention to the boy that made the deal.
"Yes! she said that she will come back here with the money one the Item is sold" Subaru said being proud of himself.
This made the merchant gave looked very confused look at the boy.
"O.. K? Did she make a contract or the date or location of where we will get out coin?" merchant said with worry in his voice.
Subaru did not respond for a few second remember what she said... before worry then grew on his face as well.
"Please don't tell me that you just gave her the Meteors when she said she will ask to sell that item with the person that will sell that Meteors." Hoshin said with such Dred in his voice.
"Stop thief!" a voice coming from the alleyway the thief, and the orange "princess" had entered.
This made the boy, the merchant, the sage, the ex-prince, and the sword saint blood turn cold as they have connected the dot about what just happened as the sword saint and merchant where arguing.
The orange hair "Princess" was not a princess, She was a thief... and she just stole their most prized possession.
But that did not stop them from turning at the voice that help them reach that conclusion.
Right there is a sliver hair girl with purple eyes, wearing a white and purple dress in intricate designs. This made Subaru and the sage heart skip a beat.
"Stop right there theif!" she said pointing at the people in the alleyway.

Tomdachy: Thank you for your theory, but sadly that can't happen after for this and any other chapter for a while. Also, I just posted how the re: zero HeadMate would go so don't expect Shinanigan much between the heroes and the real world for a while. But I can validate that if god allows the hero to be seen, heard, and interact with the real world only god can tell what will happen next in the story. but I don't think you might be that far off...until the Theresia revival arc happens... dear god I can't wait to write and see the whole cast's reaction that the boy backing Emilia is the former prince, the sword saint, and the legendary merchantman inside the mid of the boy. as for Subaru and frugel as being separate being, I will figure that out later.. I just waiting for my mind to tell me how this will be explained.
