Dawn Summers was as bright as her name implied, literally having lived as an all powerful, sacred and accessible source of pure light, for which she was constant about beyond ancient times. Her value was so significant, she was eventually made to be human and more specifically, a close blood relative of her older sister Buffy Summers, who was a supernatural warrior like none before her, and perfect for her younger sister's protection. In the time they spent together, overcoming impossible odds by conquering eternal forces, Dawn's life became secured, as she was able to live like a human without the pressures of her origins coming back to haunt her, though she would not be able to see living a full life through, at least not in the way she planned on doing. She would go on to reach adulthood, having the same kind of experiences her peers had in committing to relationships and attending college, and even though she was no longer a pesky teenager who was hard to keep up with and who was way in over her own head, her progress of becoming a sophisticated practitioner in witchcraft guided by her friend and sister's best friend Willow Rosenberg, was still faced with adversity from time to time, and one night she would come to meet an unexpected, untimely demise, as she was completely taken off guard in a ruthless attack, perpetuated by one of the most infamous, old school, wack job vampires in history Drusilla, who was out for blood and revenge, many years after she disappeared. She not only killed Dawn but she also sired her, stripping her of her entire history's radiance, and redefining her immortality in contrast to her original existence. Drusilla became Dawn's guardian, making her into a monster like herself, and as a result Dawn became dusk. She was completely inhumane, the signs of her former glory forever gone, as she would venture out into the night carrying herself majestically with dark hair, dark clothing, dark makeup, dark nail polish, pale skin, a demonic face with fangs, and ultimately no soul, with blood lust on her mind and hands, her senses now ultra heightened, making her feel a nonstop urgent need for raw predatory activity and senseless sexual satisfaction of filth, which she would partake in with both the living and the non-living like herself. Her cravings for causing horror and victimizing the "weak" and "sucking them dry" as it pertained towards humanity specifically, were so twisted and unnatural, they were natural to her kind, thus she would refrain from making herself obvious to those who were unsuspecting and "easy", like a wolf in sheep's clothing just biding her time to strike when the time was right. She would have her way with them in turn, whatever the outcome, with her fellow vampire friend Drusilla accompanying her and cheering her on night after night as they sought out what they would call "fresh meat" and even a potential "mate" among the innocent for Dawn. She had her sights set on one man specifically to spend an eternity with, that being her old teenage crush, regular guy with a keen insight Xander Harris, who was also friends with her sister. She would take his soul and make him hers, converting him from being a "loser" in a "meaningless", "boring", marriage of "morals" and "mortality", while relishing in her power over him at the expense of his wife, hoping she would get the memo "Love Bites". She would then want to overthrow her own big sister Buffy, as a vampire looking to rid the world of it's ultimate vampire slayer, a goal which not even Drusilla's infamous bad boy, ex vampire boyfriend from Europe and former slayer killer Spike, was able to achieve. Dawn always wanted to accomplish her big sister's level of greatness anyway, and now she felt she was unquestionably better than her on top of being "taller", "younger", more "alluring", and "aesthetic". She really was "all grown up" now for what it was worth, and her bite was bigger than most other vampires after all, since she was under the guidance of Drusilla who remained the only enemy of Buffy's to not be killed by her. Dawn also practiced witchcraft, and liked the idea of using dark magic to her advantage if necessary. With this said, she could see where her old gentle ginger friend Willow would be a problem as well, so she would have to do away with her too. In the end, she would have Drusilla and her mate- to-be Xander by her side, but between the two of them, she felt Drusilla would take up space, meaning she would have to "dust" her when given the chance, leaving she and Xander to remain, as they would become the scariest duo in history if she could help it.
