"Boreas?"
The Guardian had heard the knight walk to him as she bowed her head. "My Guardian, I am here." She spoke with the utmost respect, feeling the snow under her boots crunch at her gesture.
She wore a dark red cloak that was soft like a rose petal. Her light skin tone made her dark, robotic mask pop. Her ears were just like her mask, and her hair was as white as the snow around them. The Guardian turns to her.
"Bravenwolf. I am glad you can make it." He spoke before looking down. "The balance in this world is becoming an array. Vilius's corruption and influence are spreading everywhere and to every creature. Things have gotten more dangerous..." And the team hasn't been reunited. Not on Earth, at least. If they want to beat Vilius, they must reunite them completely.
"Are you sure you can not contact the other knights on earth?" Bravenwolf nods. "I can't, not with my family breathing down my neck. Autumn and winter are hard seasons for me."
"But, maybe-"
Then, they felt it. A pulse. A heartbeat in the very earth itself. It was like it was all alive, as a huge rock glowed, covered in snow. It was flat, like a tablet, as it began to whisper.
Bravenwolf stared in shock as Boreas cautiously walked to it, brushing the snow off the rock with one sweep. But, what beholds him was something that made his insides churn and turn in fear. What he saw.. No... It can't be..
"A knight will bring destruction. One with a burdened heart."
"Using a crystallized pillar, they will break the balance. They will drag the others into a corrupted limbo."
"A knight with a dark mask, glimmers of white and red will set the Hollow Beast free. The Hollow Beast will shut it's jaws onto their very heart."
"A knight with a dark mask will set me free."
Silence fills the air. The whispers fade to nothing. The winter forest is still. q
Quiet. Chilling..
Was that..?
Has it told them a Prophecy? Or was it the Tenkai Dragon?
No, think logically. That haunting, suffocating feeling. The voices that almost didn't sound anything like a living being. The emptiness inside those words. There's no doubt. It send them that vision.
It can be freed. There's no point indulging in denial and pointing fingers at other mythical beasts.
"B-Boreas..!" The Guardian looked upon Bravenwolf and now sees the courageous warrior shaking like a leaf, pale from distraught. "I.. A-Am I going to break both worlds?!"
He jolts. It said a dark mask. And with how it described the knight, it seems to match Bravenwolf in many ways.
"No. I won't allow that." He said in a serious tone, staring her down. "... W-What's gonna happen to me?!"
Boreas thought for a moment. He looked at the stone that had the inscription. It looked like an ancient drawing that spoke of what they heard.
"Bravenwolf, please listen." He walks over to the stone, staring it down. "I have a request to ask of you. We can put a stop to this." Boreas touched the rock, and suddenly, the Prophecy faded. Like.. Nothing was ever there. "I request that you find out more of.. The one who can not be named. I will guide you personally. Once we locate where it's sealed, The Guardians will put an end to it's sorrowful life."
"But, the others cannot know. Nobody can know about this. And unfortunately, you must be separated from the other knights."
"This secret will not leave our mouths. We will not talk about this."
"Not a word."
Meanwhile, at Earth...
"You okay, Umber?"
A woman asks as she drives, focusing on the road. She looked concerned as she hadn't heard the brunette make a peep since they left.
Said brunette only nodded, staring out the window to watch the passing buildings and busses. "Yes, Ma'am..." He spoke quietly.
"No need to be so formal, kid." She replied. "Call me Delphie."
Delphie. The woman who he will live with. Her skin reminded him of the color of a Tiger's Eye. It was a deep dark brown that was glowing in a vibrant gold hue when hit by the sun. It looked soft and on the pinnacle of health as well. Her hair is black as ink, darker than midnight. Like her eyes, yet they're bright at the same time.
"I know that all of this is... sudden, to say the least. It's a tough situation.." Her voice was soft. "But, things will get better over time. It takes a long while, but it'll be alright. You have a new life ahead of you now, without having to walk on eggshells."
Umber kept staring at the passing buildings, unsure of what to say or if he even wanted to talk at all. The events that happened two days ago, it went by so fast. He just... Can't believe it.
He finally let her down. He let his mother down. He made one too many mistakes. He should've tried harder. He should've worked harder. Then...
"Your head is okay? Doesn't hurt?" Delphie's voice snapped him from his spiral. "No."
"That's good. I was worried that you got a headache." She smiled.
"We should be at our home soon. Do you need help getting your things down?"
"No.."
"Alright. After we get the boxes in, I'll make dinner. Then, we can call it a night! I bet you're pretty tuckered out from, well.. Everything."
Umber hums in agreement, still staring out the window.
