Chapter 2: The Tabula
Yugo and Alice were traveling on the same motorbike feeling the Tabula energy even at that distance. The two were wearing casual clothes and talked to each other during the trip under an orange sky. The seagulls were flying next to where they were at that moment. Even so, it was easy to fell the heavy aura that the mark left on them. They haven't had alone moments between them and that was a moment which they didn't know If they were survive the mark. Alice was hugging Yugo's back while he drove the motorcycle. Yugo was a naive young man and almost never got it which was the best moment for some things. Even so, it was difficult not to see his own memories from his life passing through his mind, mainly the good moments. Yugo saw the beach and thought that a little rest would not disturb anyone, therefore, he was getting ready to park. "Alice, do you want to rest?" He asked realizing that the same was worried not saying almost nothing during the trip.
"Yugo, will we survive all this?" Alice asked to the young man that she always loved.
"I would like to say to you to not worry about it, but I don't want to give you false hope." Yugo hugged her by the back and kept talking.
"Even so I want to believe that we will find a way, and I want you to believe that too." The young wolf kept with his talk.
"Yugo..." Alice said with a feature that would cry and looked back with her face to face to Yugo. Then both kissed each other.
Finished kissing, Alice turned around to face Yugo holding his hands.
"That moment can be our last, but we cannot give up. Let's go after the Tabula." Alice got it that the journey would need to continue.
Both came back to the motorcycle and Yugo started the engine to the place they felt the evil energy.
Gado and Shina were traveling at the same motorcycle so Long could borrow Shina's motorcycle and take Uriko with him. During the trip, father and daughter talked to each other while they did not arrive their destination.
"So, you were invited to make an aliance, I'm proud of you." Alan Gado said to his daughter that were behind him while he drove.
"I'm happy for you to recognize me dad, I can't depend on your shadow Forever." Shina said fearless to her father.
Changing scenes, Long and Uriko proceeded to the same journey on Shina's motorbike.
"Master, it's been a year I didn't see you. Are you okay?" Uriko said from the bike's back seat.
"Since the battle against Shenlong, I knew that I would need to redeem myself because of someday make part of Tyron Corporation." Long answered his disciple.
"Despite he was made from you it doesn't necessary means that was your fault." Uriko tried to cheer her master up.
"That is not exactly what I think, but thank you for trying to make me feel better." Long said to her being grateful for her words.
Kenji Ogami traveled with his own motorbike thinking on how would be his friend Uriko. The two were very close since the fall of ZLF and Shenlong's defeat.
"(Why can't I get her out of my mind?)" He thought while driving.
It was a long road, but the zoanthropes have arrived at the entrance of some underground ruins. Yugo, Alice, Kenji, Uriko, Long, Shina and Gado were all together until find themselves with Busuzima that had arrived with his motorbike. The scientist was hated by everyone because of his acts since the past, his experiments harmed a lot of people and he didn't regret nothing about it.
"Busuzima! You!" Yugo shouted wanting to fight him until Gado got in the middle of them.
"Easy Yugo. We need to make a truce to destroy the Tabula, that is our priority." Alan Gado had convinced Yugo from entering together inside the ruins.
Inside the ruins everything reminded a labyrinth, everyone was walking together to not get lost until they found a white-haired man wearing a long red coat. He had a serious look on his eyes and carried the Tabula of the Thousand Beasts.
"Wait! Who are you and what do you want with the Tabula?" Yugo said while the others surrounded the man preventing him to escape.
"My name is Xion and my objective is to create a new world." The mysterious man introduced himself and revealed his plans.
"What do you intend to do with the Tabula?" Yugo questioned him.
"As soon as I break the seal, Unborn will be completely free." Xion explained to everyone.
"No If we prevent it." Yugo said determined.
"We will not let you hurt no one else." Alice determined.
"Your joke is not funny." Uriko provoked him.
"Me as Bakuryu cannot let you do what you're planning." Kenji said ready to fight.
"Xion, you still can give up and try to redeem yourself." Long warned him.
"This fight is ours, there's not a mercenary who runs away from a battle." Shina said referring to herself.
"For the nations peace and union, you need to be stopped, Xion." Gado said with a peace speech.
"(I will only wait the chance to take the Tabula, all of them are too strong for me.)" Busuzima thought.
A battle had started and one by one the zoanthropes fell towards Xion that had bestialized himself into the Unborn. With everybody on the ground the hope for survival was running out until Yugo with his last strengths got up and instead of target Xion he searched for the Tabula until the same realized that Busuzima was trying to run away with it being the only one that haven't fight. A persecution started with Busuzima in front of the others wanting to escape, Yugo running after him and the last Xion after both.
Yugo succeeded reaching Busuzima at some place at the ruins which they have not discovered yet and took the Tabula of the Thousand Beasts which left a message as Xion lost the battle to Yugo and also lost his strength falling after passing out.
"What is that?" A dark energy left the Tabula with Xion on the ground into his human form.
"That is far from over, child of Gaia." A voice from the Tabula had said it.
"We, the Unborn will have our day soon... Soon..." The voice proceeded threatening a comeback.
"The only thing you'll have are my fists!" Yugo answered fearless.
"Burn in the depts of hell, demon!" Yugo have destroyed the Tabula.
"Phew! That, that should do it." Yugo reassured himself and Busuzima which had lost his chance to a new uprising ended up running away.
The battle ended and the place seemed to begin to collapse, Xion woke up sorry from his actions without having the Unborn power and Alice helped him to stand up treating him with her medicine knowledge. All the others zoanthropes present there reunited around her and Xion being taken by Alice with his hand on her shoulder.
"I need to atone for my sins." Xion said demonstrating regret. At that same moment, Alan Gado made a dubious expression on his face.
Looking like everything had come to an end, inside the ruins were some broken chains on the wall like somebody or something had strength enough to free itself alone. Everybody got out the ruins and realized the pain from the mark had gone away, that meaning that it only had become like a tattoo being a source of power.
