True Saiyan Warriors

Author's note: Sorry this chapter took so long I just kept rewriting everything since this is a dialogue heavy chapter and I wanted to make sure everything sounded good and in character, big fight next chapter promise!

"Vegeta, you come from a strong bloodline, and you possess the highest potential to join the super elite of our race! Never forget where you come from and your lineage, because if you have proven yourself worthy, then someday you will become a super saiyan!" those words came almost as a whisper in Vegetas's mind.

"F…..f..ather," Vegeta spoke out barely audibly in his own mind "Vegeta….." "f..father," the Saiyan called out again. "VEGETA! HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN YOUR BIRTHRIGHT? YOUR DESTINY TO BE THE STRONGEST!" king vegeta's voice screamed out in Vegeta's mind causing the prince's eyes to shoot open back to reality back to…pain.

As soon as the prince had regained consciousness, he immediately shut his eyes again as his entire being was consumed with nothing but pain as his mind spun violently; Vegeta clenched his fists, feeling the immense pain from the beat down he received from the Majin only moments ago. "I…I should be dead," Vegeta was barely able to say to himself, "t….that , I was sure he had killed me, and yet…." Vegeta said again, as finally, after what seemed like hours, he managed to catch his breath.

Finally, his breath began to return to a normal rhythm as he started to regain control of his mind. Vegeta slowly opened his eyes again, looking around with blurry vision as his eyes stopped on a being of orange, blue, and gold standing tall to his left. As his vision cleared, he realized who it was, the Saiyan that he had detested for many years, the Saiyan that he tried but failed to surpass, the Saiyan raised on earth, kakarot.

"Ka…kakarot," Vegeta spoke out to his old rival as he painfully sat up. "Vegeta, I'm glad you're okay; I was beginning to worry you had actually died on me, but there's nothing that can hold you down, hehe." Goku said cheerfully, "w..wait, kakarot, if you're here then…NO, YOU IDIOT!" Vegeta barked out to the younger Saiyan, causing Goku to flinch back slightly.

"Y…you actually did it…you threw the damn thing, didn't you! Damn it all; I should have never trusted you with this task, and now the whole universe is screwed!" Vegeta said, crossing his arms.

"B..but Vegeta, you..you were gonna die again, and I couldn't let that happen! Besides, I've been sensing buus power, and I haven't felt it return yet, so maybe there's a slim chance it worked," Goku said with a half-hearted smile while he shrugged. "Damn it, kakarot; you know that it wasn't enough power; gah, your heart is too damn soft; you could have gotten more time if you didn't throw it.

Instead, we have no spirit bomb, and we're both almost all out of energy!" Vegeta yells at Goku "y ... .your right, Vegeta I…I just couldn't see you die to that monster. I'm sorry," Goku said sympathetically as a long silence began appearing between the two Saiyans.

As Goku and Vegeta were thinking, the kais were watching, trying to find any solution to their current predicament as mainly kibito kai was rambling on almost in a panic, "Darn it, what do we do? I mean, what other possible solution could there be? I guess Goku could try and teach Vegeta the fusion dance, although knowing him he would rather die than…." but before kibito kai could continue his ramble elder kai cut him off.

"Alright, just quit your darn yapping and settle down. This may not be the worst outcome, at least not yet " "How is it not elder? I mean, Goku doesn't have the spirit bomb anymore, and Vegeta is out of energy!" kibito kai stated. "The reason I said it's not so bad is because I have a plan, albeit not the wisest plan but still better than sitting here panicking." elder kai said

"You have a plan? Well, what is it, elder" Kibito asked, "pretty much the same as before; Goku continues to charge the spirit bomb; however, instead of just Vegeta distracting Buu, we have Gohan; the two boys fused, and Vegeta distract the Majin, that way there's more time and certainty Goku can get the spirit bomb fully charged." old kai said

"That's not the worst plan, although it still sounds extremely risky," kibito kai said, "well, I said I had a plan, just not a perfect one," elder kai said with his eyes closed as sweat ran down his face.

"Anyway, enough talking, we need to get the three boys and have them help Goku and Vegeta, also dende?" old kai said, "y..yes, elder," Dende said, a bit nervous "We're gonna need your help, so come with us, now kibito kai let's get going" as elder kai finished discussing the plan he and dende grabbed onto kibito kai teleporting to Gohan and the boys.

"What do you think happened, piccolo? I don't sense Dad holding out for the spirit bomb anymore y….you don't think there?" Gohan asked, "I'm not sure what's going on, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens now," Piccolo said.

Trunks overhearing Gohan and Piccolo talk, began to think about losing his father again, and he clenched his fist at the thought, as he blurted out, "There's no way my dad, or even yours, Gohan, could lose not when they're working together!" trunks said as Goten nodded.

"Trunks, I'm not sure what…." but before Gohan could continue, kibito kai, elder kai, and Dende teleported in front of the small group of fighters. "Huh what the" Gohan, piccolo, Trunks and Goten said in unison, "kibtio kai? Dende? And elder kai? W…what are you guys doing here? No, don't tell me ..." Gohan began to ask, but his sentence came out quieter than he would have thought.

"No, don't worry. Goku and Vegeta are okay…" old kai cut kibito kai off, saying, "For now anyway," "Hey, what happened to our dads" Goten almost yelled out, "Yeah, spit it out," Trunks added. "Nothing yet, but we need help from the three of you," Kibito said before anything could escalate further. Kibitio looked towards Piccolo, feeling a little embarrassed "s…sorry piccolo", "Hmp, don't worry, sadly I'll only just get in the way," Piccolo said

"You need our help? Why is that?" Gohan asked. "To keep this trip short, Goku was indeed using the spirit bomb, but Vegeta was close to dying again, and Goku ended up throwing the damn thing, and now we need help from you three, so Goku can charge the spirit bomb again," elder kai said

"There's just no way my dad would lose to that pink jerk!" Trunks yelled out to old Kai, "Well, he almost did, so you're gonna have to deal with it!" elder kai yelled back at Trunks. "Alright, that's enough!" Gohan barked out, "So you want us to hold off majin buu while dad charges the spirit bomb?" Gohan asked kibito kai, "Yes, Gohan, that's precisely what we were asking," kibito kai quickly responded. "I know it's not much of a choice we're giving you, but we really do need your help," old Kai added.

As all three Saiyans stood there thinking about what to do when all of a sudden, Trunks yelled out

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's do this!" the purple-haired boy said frantically, "yeah, let's go help our dads beat that nasty buu!" gotten cheered with excitement. Gohan looked at the two boys as they had confident faces on; this made Gohan beam with a bit of pride as he turned to the three gods and stated confidently, "Alright, kibitio, let's end this for good this time!" Gohan said with a smile on his face.

"Gohan, before you go, I need to tell you something," Piccolo said, causing the young Saiyan to turn around and walk to his old friend and master. "What's the matter, piccolo?" Gohan asked, "Your power may be grand. However, you're still weak." Piccolo stated firmly, causing Gohan to stare in slight confusion, asking, "w..what do you mean?"

"What I mean is that when the elder kai unlocked your power to fight majin buu, you were overcome with a feeling of arrogance; it took you so long to unlock your potential that when you did, you enjoyed it too much." Gohan was not shocked by Piccolo's response as he looked down with disappointment in himself as his master kept on reminding him.

"Instead of using your strength to win, your arrogance left you vulnerable to attack! Succumb to that again, and you'll lose no matter how powerful you are!" Piccolo spoke with seriousness. "You have to fight with everything you got, no matter the opponent!" Piccolo finally finished.

"Y…your right, piccolo. I was a fool; I didn't learn from my mistake when fighting cell, and I just got too carried away leading to everyone getting killed. I'm sorry," the young Saiyan said, still keeping his gaze fixed on the floor until he felt a hand rest on his shoulder as he looked up.

"Gohan, you are strong, stronger than anyone; you just have to focus on your opponent, and I'm certain there's no one you can't beat," Piccolo said firmly but then smiled at his student and friend. Gohan smiled at his old friend and nodded his head, saying, "I won't let anyone down, not anymore!" "hmp, then get out there and put that bastard down for good!" Piccolo said with a proud smile on his face.

"Alright, guys, that's enough making up; let's get going!" trunks demanded impatiently.

"Jeez, that boy can sure learn some manners," elder kai said under his breath. "Be careful out there, Gohan," Piccolo said, "Right," Gohan responded as he ran over to the others, "you ready for this, big bro?" the little Saiyan that looked like Goku asked. "Let's end this for good this time!" Gohan said, smiling, clenching his fist and pumping it in the air.

Just then, kibito kai used his kai kai technique to teleport the three Saiyans, elder kai and Dende, to Goku and Vegeta. Back on the planet of the Kais, Vegeta and Goku still had not said anything as the Saiyan prince started in the distance, as his mind turned and turned, thinking of how weak he felt sitting on the floor while kakarot stood tall as words from his past began to play in his head "my motivation was to be the best! To be the strongest Saiyan to ever live! Until kakarot came into the picture!"

Vegeta felt the malice from his past thoughts; however, thinking about it now, he did not carry the same feeling of hate from his past. However, he had rather genuine confusion on what made Kakarot's strength so different from his own.

But before the prince could keep thinking about his old rival, both Saiyans felt an all too familiar prue evil ki begin to rise. Vegeta quickly tried to push those thoughts to the back of his mind as there were obviously more pressing matters to attend to, like how the hell were they gonna deal with majin buu!

Vegetas body screamed at him when he stood up to his feet, but he had felt worse pain before as he blocked it out of his mind, slowly walking up and standing next to kakarot. Goku smiled at Vegeta, noticing that he stood up, "Nothing can keep you down, huh Vegeta, but I know yah feel that too; he's coming," Goku said seriously, "well kakarot did you manage to think of a plan to take this pink bastard down for good before throwing the spirit bomb because if not we're screwed."

Vegeta asks Goku as the younger Saiyan turns to the older one saying hesitantly, "Uhhhhh, not really?" "ssssiiiggghhhh, honestly, I'm not surprised by that one bit," Vegeta said in a defeated tone. "Sorry, Vegeta, it was just in the heat of the moment," Goku said as he rubbed his hand through his golden hair. "Wweeellll, there's always the fusion dance…" but before the Saiyan could continue, Vegeta cut him off, "Oh like hell were doing that, I'd rather die than do those stupid poses!"

But before the younger Saiyan could counter Vegeta's complaint, six people teleported right in front of the Saiyan duo. "W…what the!" both Saiyans said in unison, "Kibito kai, elder, Gohan and Goten!" Goku barked out as Vegeta did the same "Dende, trunks!" "Dad!" The three younger saiyans yelled out as Goten and Gohan flew over to Goku as the youngest of the son's family hugged his father as Trunks did the same with Vegeta.

Trunks hugged his father tightly, but before the purple-haired boy could say anything, Vegeta pried him off his body, embarrassed, saying "Trunks!" but as Vegeta looked down, he saw a few tears in his son's eyes. "Dad..are you okay? I…I was kinda worried that I'd never see you again." Vegeta, seeing his son almost cry, quickly said, "Trunks, of course I'm alright who do you think I am? And wipe those tears from your eyes!" "y.. yes, father," Trunks said as he stood up straight.

As Trunks quickly dried his tears he saw something wrapped around his fathers waist, he studied it for a few seconds and then realized what it was. questioned his father on it, "Dad, why do you have your tail? I thought it got cut off " Vegeta stared at his son and then at his tail. "It was there when I got brought back to life by the dragon balls, but none of that is important now." "right" trunks said hesitantly.

"Daddy, I'm so glad you're okay!" Goten yelled out as a few tears fell from his face, "Yeah, we were worried for a bit, their dad," Gohan added, "Hehe, don't worry, guys, I'm fine," Goku added, smiling at his sons. But before the saiyan fathers could ask what their sons were doing here, elder Kai interrupted, "Ehem, although it's cute to see you all reunite, I believe we have a big issue, GOKU! HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID AND THROW THAT SPIRIT BOMB!" Goku looked down, stating, "I'm sorry, elder, but I just couldn't let Vegeta die."

Old Kai sighed as he continued, "Well, it doesn't matter any way Dende heal them" "Right," Dende said as he walked up to Goku, about to heal him when Goku stopped him, saying, "Dende heal Vegeta first, he definitely deserves it, hehe", "Alright, you got it, Goku," the little namekian said, heading over to the Saiyan prince, and healing him. "So you guys got a plan? cause Me and Vegeta are out of ideas, and I can feel buus ki almost fully reformed," Goku asked.

"Yes, actually, we do have a plan, although it is kind of risky," kibito kai said as dende finished healing Vegeta; he then moved to heal Goku. "the plan is for you to make another spirit bomb while the boys fuse and Gohan and Vegeta hold off that monster." old Kai stated as Dende finished healing Goku.

"What! That's your plan! The same as mine? except with a few more of us to distract that pink freak!" Vegeta yelled at the kai, "I don't hear any of you coming up with a better plan, besides I never said it would be perfect!" elder kai defended himself. "It may not be the perfect plan, but I think it could really work, Vegeta," Goku said, "Besides, we have Gohan and the boys, so we might not even need the spirit bomb, hehe," Goku laughed.

Vegeta stayed silent as the others continued to discuss the plan; the idea kept turning in the prince's mind over and over again as he began to grow more and more fed up with it, as more thoughts from his past began to creep back into his mind. "I do not fear this new challenge; rather, like a true Saiyan warrior, I will rise to meet it with nothing but my strength and pride!" Vegeta clenched his teeth, and then his fist as rage began to bubble to the surface until…..

"ENOUGH!" Vegeta screamed out, causing everyone to look at the Saiyan in confusion. "Forget that stupid plan! We don't need it!" Vegeta barked out, "What!" they all said at the same time. "Vegeta, this plan may be the best shot we've got, so why don't we just stick with it," Gohan said. "Gohan's right, vegeta, I think it is the best shot," Goku added on as goten was also about to add on "y..yeah, mr vegeta lets just.." but Vegeta cut all of them off, saying

"Us Saiyans are a race of mighty warriors! We strive to be the best or we are nothing; we fight for strength! To test our limits! And once we reach the limit of what we're capable of, we shatter through them! The earthlings had their chance, and even though kakarot messed it up, I don't care anymore because this gave us Saiyans our chance to break our limits and show that little pink bastard what a true warrior really is! together!" Vegeta finished as he stared intensely at everyone.

Everyone stared at the prince in shock as Trunks began to smile until he couldn't contain his excitement any longer. "Hehe yeah, let's do this, guys. We are Saiyans, so let's put him down using our own power!" Vegeta smiled in his mind, happy with the words his son just said. "YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!" elder kai screamed for what felt like the millionth time that day.

"Vegeta, I feel as though that is an extremely foolish idea; I mean we have already made too many mistakes as is! We can't afford to take this big of a risk!" kibito kai said, almost yelling out. Gohan and Goten just looked at their father, who had a smile on his face, until finally he spoke, "I'm with Vegeta" everyone stared in shock; even Vegeta couldn't help but be surprised by his answer.

"Goku, not you too!" both kais yelled out, "your right, elder and kibito kai; it is foolish, but honestly, were Saiyans, and we fight to get strong and keep getting stronger beyond that, and if we're not strong enough to protect our home and families than I only see one way to accomplish becoming stronger, and that's to beat majin buu like Vegeta said, together!" Goku said firmly yet with a bit of pride in his voice.

"Hmp, I dare say I'm impressed, kakarot. You have spoken like a true Saiyan…for the most part," Vegeta said, smirking and turning away from everyone. "Well…as much as i'm unsure of this idea if dad thinks its best id say screw it, lets go for it!" Gohan said, smiling up at his father.

"My god w…w..what group of fools." elder kai said "Ssiiggghhhh well, so much for that plan, these Saiyans always risking lives just to get stronger. I'll never understand them," kibito kai said, shaking his head as elder kai put his hand over his face, just then Majin bus ki surged as it began to head in the direction of the fighters. Everyone sensing this turned serious. "Elder, kibito kai, and Dende, you guys should get out of here now!" goku said seriously

"R..right..w..well good luck to you all!" kibito kai said. "And if you start failing, then don't expect us to come and help you!" elder Kai said as Kibito teleported the three gods out of the battle.

"Goten trunks, hurry, and fuse buu is almost here!" Gohan yelled at the two boys, "Right, let's do it ,Goten," Trunks said as they stood next to each other. "Fusion HA!" Both boys yelled out as a tornado of orange and blue ki surrounded the Saiyans, only to leave one new Saiyan with purple and black hair.

"Dahdahdahdah! The grim reaper of justice is here to save the day!" Gotenks yelled out, but before he could continue, Vegeta quickly shut the Saiyan down. "Hay! No goofing off, this is serious, and we don't need you to become another obstacle in this battle. Do I make myself clear!" "y..yes sir, sorry sir" Just then, kid Buu teleported right in front of the Saiyans, giving them the nastiest death stair as he growled out, "ggrrrrrhhh buu make you pay!"

"Hmp, Id just love to see you try," Vegeta said, smirking as all four saiyans screamed out, "HERE WE COME, MAJIN BUU!" as the three Saiyan's aura fired up, screaming to their max power, shaking the whole planet, causing debris and dust to kick up! As Gohan was enveloped by an incredible white aura, and the other three were wrapped with a powerful golden glow, Goku and Gotenks hair grew in length, and their power skyrocketed, and the Saiyan prince powered up into super Saiyan two with his golden glow reaching down to his tail yet again!

Vegeta stared at the other three Saiyans; he felt himself start to get slightly angry at their power; however, he also felt a bit of pride seep into his thoughts. Vegeta felt as though he was the commander of a powerful Saiyan army of eleit warriors yet again, although he would never admit that to the others.

As each Saiyan got into their fighting stance the prince smiled and looked at majin buus cold stair giving the majin one right back, the prince stated powerfully "alright you lot let's show this no good piece of chewing gum what a real warrior is all about!"
