A/N: Still playing with ideas and little energy. Please be kind. It's short. I know. But it's fun?

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Calli sighed as she laid back, looking up at the ceiling at all the glowing stars that she had let the Boys paint up there. She felt Marko stir next to her, roused to attention by her smallest change in breath. The Cupid faced Lost Boy opened his eyes and smiled at her, pulling her closer so he could press a kiss to her temple.

"What's up, princess?" he asked. "Can't sleep?"

Calli shook her head. "Nope. Having a harder and harder time doing that these days."

Marko frowned. "Nightmares again?"

"No."

"Sleeping meds not working?"

"They have no effect on me whatsoever anymore…"

Marko frowned deeper. "Do they need to change the dosage?"

Calli scratched her head and looked up at the stars on her ceiling again. "Marko…have you and the Boys noticed anything different about me lately?"

The Lost Boy studied her for a moment. "You got a haircut?"

"That's no allowed."

"Some sun?"

"Nope."

"You've gotten more freckles?"

Each suggestion that he made go a 'no' headshake after that. Calli looked at him and crossed her eyes twice, giving him a small hint. Marko sat up straight.

"Calli! Where are your glasses?"

"Don't need them," Calli told him, shrugging.

"At all?"

"Not at all."

Marko scrambled to his feet and stared at her in awe. "How? How could all the junk that's going wrong with your eyes go poof? It's – it's impossible!"

Calli shrugged again. "Guess it isn't so impossible. It's like hello, clear vision is here all the time."

Marko knelt down next to the bed. "We need to figure this out. We really need to figure this out."

Calli frowned and looked at him with dull eyes. "I blame you and the Boys."

"Come again?"

"You Boys are probably to blame," Calli said, examining her nails. "Why would you not? You're freaking vampires. You've brought some kind of mojo on me. I know you did."

Marko rolled his eyes. "Yeah, like that's something we really do."

"Well, how long have I known you?"

"You know I don't count that high."

Calli shoved him off the bed and darted out of reach with ease when he made to grab her. Marko looked perplexed.

"You shouldn't have been able to do that," he told her, pointing.

Calli turned. "I wonder then…"

Marko got a brief glimmer of what she was thinking about and knew that he had to shut it down or David would kill him. "Calli, no!"

The Goth ignored him and darted for the door, her feet not making even a whisper on the floor. Marko tore after her and made to grab her. Panic was settling his stomach.

She's not going to it! She's not going to!

Calli jumped lightly onto the railing of her stairs and closed her eyes before taking a step off forward. Marko lunged forward and missed her by a second.

"Calli!" Marko called out, looking over the railing and fearing the worst.

Calli looked up at him, standing on her tip toes. "Yeah?"

"How the hell?" Marko asked before jumping down beside her and grabbing her. "Don't you ever do something like that again! You could have seriously hurt yourself or worse!"

"…sorry…" Calli frowned. "But Marko, I haven't hurt anywhere om days. Like anywhere. Not even a flipping headache."

Marko shook his head. "I don't buy it."

Calli shoved him away from her and he collided with the wall, hard. The witch was upon him in a heartbeat.

"This isn't made up, Marko," she said, staring him in the eye for as long as she could without making herself sick. "This is very, very real. And very, very, very scary. I don't know what is going on with me or what to do about it. I-I am scared that I am not me anymore."

Marko looked at her with pity in his eyes. "Princess…"

Calli turned away from him away and wrapped her arms around herself. Marko wrapped his arms around her and held her close, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"It's going to be okay, Calli," he promised, giving her a gentle squeeze. "We'll figure this out."

Calli looked at him in profile. "You'd better because I don't want to be stuck like this forever. It's either 100 percent human or 100 percent vampire. Not whatever the hell this is."

Marko smirked. "You know…since you're like this now, you could probably handle something a little differently now…"

Calli squirmed. "Don't you try to get me in bed, you! I'm angry with you Boys for doing this mojo changing stuff on me."

Marko grazed his lips over her neck. "Really? You're not interested in the slightest?"

"No!"

Calli's scent and jumping pulse told him otherwise. Marko's hand slid down her stomach to pet her lower. The witch's breath hitched as she melted at his touch. Calli leaned into him and sighed.

"Sounds like you changed your mind," Marko teased with a smirk.

"Jerkface, Calli mumbled, hooking her hand behind his neck…

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Marko walked into the hotel-cave where the Boys waited for him to rejoin them for morning slumber time. Marko looked at David and bit his thumbnail, hesitating.

"Speak," David ordered.

"Calli isn't like herself," Marko announced to the room at large and he felt the air in the room shift. "She's changing…"

OOOOOOOOOOO
