Beyond the wall:
The night sky has always been beautiful. The stars spread around like diamonds on a velvet cloth. The stars sparkle and shine, they form intricate patterns when you connect them. They make a bear sometimes, a lion and if you are lucky cancer too. But the interesting thing about this particular night sky is that its stars do not form those known constellations. Instead, you will find the likes of Galley, Crone's Lamp, and Eye of Ice Dragon. Yet, Looking at the night sky, with my mind occupied elsewhere has not changed. It is often terrifying, you'd think it is a dream or fantasy that a drunken mind consumed by grief conjured but from what I learnt from the last twelve years, it is a reality. It took a while to accept that reality. Not that long to be honest. It was spring when I...
"Hey Razor! I was looking for you everywhere." and my musings were interrupted by a annoying blonde called Val running towards me. "Raiders arrived back at camp and My father wants to meet you in his tent tonight." Finished the girl without showing any signs of exhaustion from the run. Don't get me wrong, Val is smart girl and very good with the bow. She could pretty much survive in this wilderness unlike me who is hopeless without Andy. It's just that she's become too attached to me ever since I saved her from an enemy-raiding party. I generally would not mind and in fact, appreciate someone's company in this cold but the problem is that she's 14 and is way too excited and dreamy. And also pretty dumb about anything other than hunting. Oh, Gods, how I hope my life was so simple. "Good, I will meet him in a bit" I reply back in Old tongue and get back to my stargazing. See, the interesting thing is that my mother's family, they have this unknown fascination with stars. Their home is called...Grrrr, this time I was interrupted by the growl of my companion Andy. I look aside from the sky to the cause of the interruption.
I find my friend Andy who is sleeping beside me getting up on his legs, staring at Val with his ears sticking up, teeth bared, and his snout wrinkled. Val raised her arms and moved a step back to her initial position. It seems while I was stargazing, she tried to come close to me. She probably meant no harm but after yesterday night, I and my buddy are a little extra careful about distance. You see when you are a kid carrying two steel swords one of which is particularly good at cutting people, people's greed always gets ahead of them, even when I demonstrated my prowess by killing a bunch of grown-ass men. It took me chopping off some fingers of those who are foolish enough to try to make them back off. "It's okay, she means no harm Andy," I say to Andy. He just turns to me for my confirmation, gives a final warning growl to her, and backs off. "It's alright Val, Andy is just being cautious. " Hearing me, Val turned away from staring at Andy and started walking towards me. " You know the way you and your wolf acts is different from other wargs. Your eyes doesn't turn white when you warg. " And that is because I cannot warg as I am not a skincganger" , and Andy is a friend and we talk through our mental link. I wish I could say that but I manage a weak grunt and moved around to make some space for her. She joined me, snuggling into the furs that I have confiscated from some who wouldn't need them anymore. " Hey Razor, is it true that there is a place in South where it never snows?"
"Yes, Val. There is. That's where my mother came from. It is filled with golden sand the colour of your hair as far as eye can see."
" It must be pretty then. Is it always warm? "
I chuckled a bit at her shamelessness.
" No, it is so hot during the day that men cannot walk clothed and so cold during the day that they cannot move without furs. "
" Oh, then how do they move around?"
They don't move around much actually. I remember my time spent there. It was easier to go to Subspear by sea than through the desert.
" I think I shouldn't keep your father waiting," I said subtly moving the hand she slowly put on my chest. It is funny seeing her childish seduction.
She didn't relent and held my hand close to her modest chest quickly replying " It's alright, my father is gonna take some time to settle in the raiders, meet with clan mothers and all that. You can tell me about how you ended up on the wrong side of the wall"
Actually, I am on the wrong side of the cosmos. Still, assuming you are as curious as her and don't have any influence on the events here, then here goes my story of cross-dimensional traveling, daddy issues, and cold.

y'all, Vamsi Krishna here. I promised you a double insert fic and I couldn't get to it because of my academics and placements, But now that it is a short vacation, I will focus completely on writing. I am writing a few test chapters. I initially thought of starting from the beginning like his birth and all that but felt like it was too cliche. So I tried this format. Criticism about the piece is welcome(both types). I will be glad to engage about the topic and this writing style. And if you are curious why Arthur is beyond the wall, stay tuned to find out.
And please, please be active about it. It will encourage me to continue writing and help me improve
