Once at the ice rink, Riley and Kate had gone straight out onto the ice where Kate was gliding on the ice toward Riley.
"You're looking good, Kate," said Riley.
"I have the gliding down but… uff," said Kate before losing her balance and falling on her butt.
"But I don't have the stopping down," she said.
"Yeah, stopping can be the hardest thing to get down," said Riley as she helped Kate up.
"But I'm sure you can get the hang of it with enough practice," she said. Riley then skated away before leaping into the air where she did a few spins before landing.
"Whoa, did you take ice skating lessons, not just hockey?" asked Kate.
"For a short while I did both, it helped with hockey practice by helping with my balance and speed," said Riley.
"Well, looks like I still have a lot to learn about you," said Kate with a smile before trying to skate forward again. Back in Riley's mind, the emotions were still watching.
"That fall Kate took kind of looked bad," said Fear, who was biting his fingernails.
"I'd be crying right now if I was her," said Sadness.
"Guys she got up with Riley's help and is not complaining so I'm sure she's alright, so how about you tone it down a little?" asked Disgust.
"She's right, you two are worried about nothing," said Joy.
"Riley and Kate are on the move," said Love.
"That was a lot of fun, Riley," said Kate while the two left the ice for the benches so they could take the skates off.
"Told you it would be, and you only fell once which is really surprising for a beginner, when I started out I fell like four times in the first hour," said Riley.
"Well we definitely have to come back again at some point, I want to keep trying till I can skate like you," said Kate.
"That's the spirit," said Riley with a big smile.
