Rapunzel woke up 1 morning and checked the calendar.

'Oh no! It's Sophie's 2nd birthday and I forgot! Ugh!' She thought in despair.

'Hey Sunshine, any plans today for our daughter's birthday?' Eugene asked.

'Uh, funny thing about that…'

'Hey, not to worry. I have plans for a party tonight, no need for you to worry about a thing!'

'Really? Because I've just been so busy and everything, I really didn't mean to forget! I've just been so busy!' Rapunzel rambled.

'Hey hey, it's okay! We all get so busy sometimes that we forget some things. I mean, look at how I forgot Varian's birthday that one time because I was so swamped with planning another birthday party? He was really fine with it!' Eugene replied, trying to make her feel better.

'Didn't he eventually say that it hurt him that you were too busy to think about him though?'

'Nuts, I must have forgotten about that! Look, the point is, with our busy lives, we're going to forget about some things from time to time. It's just natural.'

'Natural? Eugene, I don't want to forget about our own daughter's birthday! That would be like forgetting your own birthday!'

Eugene went silent after that.

'We'll talk about this later.' Then Rapunzel left.

Later.

'I, never really celebrated my birthday. So being too busy to remember them doesn't really bother me that much. Course, that was before I fell in love, got married and had a kid. So, I'm sorry for sounding insensitive, and I'll try to do better in the future.' Eugene said sincerely.

'You're forgiven. Say, what's that behind your back?' Rapunzel asked.

Eugene gave her the paper, which said.:

'You're invited to Princess Sophie's grand birthday party!'

'I spent all day planning this, everyone helped out, including Max. Hope you like (ooph!) it.'

Giving him a big hug. 'Thank you thank you thank you!' Rapunzel exclaimed, then she raced off to the ballroom.

'Wait for me!'
