Prologue/Chapter Zero: A Meeting Witnessed by Stars

How much more unfamiliar could the streets of an unfamiliar city become? Anos was getting his answer. 10-year-old boy was moving further and further in Orario, known to the world as the city of adventurers. İt's been over an hour since the night has fallen. And yet he still couldn't find his way back home. They just came yesterday for his father's work, and he was lost in the second day. Anos put up a genuine smile and asked another person he found. Do you know where to find the lone rabbit patisserie? This time it was an elf, or a half elf maybe, he couldn't discern. Elf turned to find a white-skinned kid looking at him with brimming eyes. Like it could light the world if not for the black of his eyes. His dark hair looked weird to the elf. it was like there were so thin silver lines between the strands, to prove to the night, to not to be lost in the dark, that it was indeed his color. Then they disappeared. He thought it was an illusion. Just when he was about to look from a different angle Anos called again. Mister? The elf locked eyes with the kid. He looked worried for the elf since he did not answer. Ah yes, yes, the patisserie. You can go there by passing through the ruins. The street you'll find yourself will lead you- before the elf could continue kid shouted with excitement. Ruins, where, where? Elf just pointed the way. He thanked the elf and just started running towards the direction that was pointed. He was so excited to hear that there were ruins. Anos loved such places. Quiet, mysterious, mighty. It was like he was a part of untold legends, stories and feeling of people he never knew. After a while he reached the ruins and started to walk calmly towards the other side with a faint smile. The wind softly caressed his skin. If I 'll be a little later, mom will be worried sick, he thought to himself. Because he got excited, he didn't listen the elf and found himself in the ruins. Though he could just ask someone else in the street once he got there, he decided to leave that part out for the explanation to his parents. While he continued his way he got interrupted by an unknown feeling, that he wasn't alone. He looked up to the sky then changed his direction. If someone ever asked why he did such a thing, he wouldn't have an answer, ever. He started to slow down and finally stopped. The sky was clear as day. And since the ruins were free from the town's lighting all the stars could be seen. But under this dark starry sky, the gentle wind and cold of the night, all the things he loved the most. Anos was looking at the lone girl standing on a stone staring to the sky. Her long silver hair fell towards her waist. The strands tied by the sides were dancing slowly before her with the wind. She wore a dark, shining slim poncho and a semi-transparent black scarf that was tossed over on her left shoulder. White short jeans and black high boots. Butterflies flew in his stomach. He was so shocked that even he didn't know what this surge of feeling were. With the wind getting a little stronger the girl slowly turned around, just as anos took a step and lift his head. He thought he heard her say something, but he couldn't hear. The moment they moved; it was like the dark world whose time was stopped was given life again. World started to move. Though the stars were cold and moon to be nowhere to be seen the ruins looked bright, clear. Anos looked at the girls' eyes. One green as pure emerald, shining, other; silver as the evening clouds, steel of a sword. He saw a hint of sadness, a longing for…İt disappeared, maybe never existed. countless different emotions flowed inside him. Anos couldn't move. He just looked at her. Mesmerized, enchanted, interested… She looked at him with an unchanging look. What was in it, no one knows After a time that which felt like countless lives, the feeling he felt exploded and reached the heavens. Like a calm after a storm, like the relax after giving breath, like the silence of the love that cannot be put in words. Anos uttered a single word, upon the realization of all. One word that can maybe change his life. That can start a story neither knew could be unfold. All he remembered about what happened later was a beautiful voice. And the world turned white.
