"So let me get this straight," Chisato said, "You've gotten blackmailed just for being a girl." Maya nodded, as she sat in the breakroom of the agency. "It sounds strange when you put it like that, but that's basically how it is." "Why didn't you do anything about it? Why did you agree?" "I don't know" Maya sighed, "I guess I just panicked." "So… what's gonna happen now?" Chisato asked, twirling her pen. "I guess I just have to do what she says," said Maya, "Otherwise she will reveal to the world that I used to be a boy." "Used to?" Chisato said. Maya looked at her, puzzled. "What do you mean?" "I have never met this Mako person. Only Maya. And from the sounds of things, Mako was very similar to you." said Chisato, "In my eyes, you were always Maya. Even when you didn't know it yet, you were Maya at heart. In everything except your body, you are a girl." Maya smiled. "Thanks for the kind words, Chisato." Just then, a staff member walked up to them. "Ms Yamato. Someone wants to see you." she said, "A Ms Neru Oya." Chisato looked at Maya. "Shall we go?"

The two spotted Neru in the front lobby. Chisato walked up to her. "So, you must be Neru Oya, is that correct?" Neru nodded. "Shirasagi, how well do you know Yamato here?" said Neru. "As a fellow bandmate, I think we know each other well enough." Chisato answered. "Do you really?" said Neru, "As a childhood friend of hers, I know something that you don't, and if Yamato falls out of line… Well, let's just say you have no choice but to kick her out of your Idol girl band." Chisato thought about it, before playing along with her. "And what do you mean by that?" "You'll find out soon enough." Neru looked over to Maya, "Come on, Yamato. You're going to unpack my stuff." The glasses girl sighed, before following what was once his (her?) girlfriend.

The two entered Neru's apartment. Neru layed down on her mattress, and started to browse on her phone. She looked at Maya. "Well, what are you waiting for?" Maya reluctantly got to work. She opened up one of the boxes, and found an old photograph. A photograph of a 10 year old Neru and… Mako… Maya thought about that day way back then…

(FLASHBACK)

Neru: Mako-kun!

Mako: Ah? Neru! What's up?

Neru: My family's moving to Osaka next week.

Mako: What?! No! Do you have to go?
Neru: Yes… That is why I need to tell you this now, Mako. Now or never… I love you!

Mako: N… Neru… (She smiled) I love you too, Neru.

(They hugged)

Mako: Will we ever see each other again?

Neru: I don't know…

Mako… a boy who no longer exists… No… don't think about it that way. Mako was merely who she thought she was, but just as Chisato said, she was always Maya.
