Maya woke up, still feeling tired from all the work she had to do for Neru. Today was a Saturday, so she didn't have that much school work. Though, she could imagine Neru demanding her to get her ice cream… Wait, Saturday! She had a movie date with Eve today! This is bad. If Neru finds out she has been going out with a girl, she's probably going to accuse her of being a crossdressing perverted creep! But she can't let Eve down! Maya sighed to herself. The other problem is that Neru might not let her go on that date anyways. She decided to call her. Good thing they added their numbers on each other's phones yesterday. "Hey, Neru." said Maya. "Oh, Mako! Good timing!" Neru said in her cheerful voice, "I was wondering if we could go watch that new samurai movie together!" "Yeah, here's the thing." said Maya, "I was going to watch that movie with one of my friends." "Oh, which one?" "Eve Wakamiya, my band's pianist." "In that case, let's go together!" said Neru. This is going to be a long day.
"You know, I was planning to do all these cute date ideas," Neru told Maya, "But you just had to pretend to be a girl because Eve wouldn't recognise you." "And that's a problem because?" "Because then it would make me look gay!" Once they were at the movie theater, Maya spotted Eve. "Hey, Eve!" Eve looked at the two! "Ah, there you are!" Eve said, "Who's this?" "My childhood friend, Neru! She moved from Osaka a few days ago." Maya said. "It's swell to meet ya, Eve!" Neru said. "Nice to meet you too, Neru." Eve said, "Now, shall we go?" "Yep!" Maya said. "Yamato! Get me something to drink first!" Neru said. "Okay, fine!" said Maya.
During the movie, Maya stared at Eve. "She looks so pretty." she thought to herself. "Hey, Mak- Wait, she is in earshot. Yamato, what are you looking at?" asked Neru. "Um… nothing!" Maya said, "I was just seeing if Eve was enjoying herself." "Oh, whatever…" Neru said, "Can you get me some more popcorn?" "I can't leave in the middle of the movie!" Neru glared at Maya. "Okay. I have to use the bathroom anyway-" Neru cut her off. "Nope! No going to the bathroom!" Neru shouted, "You know what? I'm gonna get the popcorn myself!" Neru walked off. A good thing because, even for a short moment, Maya could enjoy the movie alone with her girlfriend Eve- "I changed my mind." Neru exclaimed, "Eve, get some popcorn for us two." "Okay!" said Eve, "Maya-chan, do you want some more too?" "Nah, I still have some left." Maya said. Eve got up from her seat and left. Neru sighed. "I wish I could lean on your shoulder right now." "Oh, you think your day is going awful" is what Maya wanted to say, but it's probably for the best if she kept her mouth shut.
