A Flower In The Rain
2
Hana ran barefoot through the trees. Leaves cracking beneath her feet on the Forest floor...
Grounding Herself is what she called it...
"Hana~...Hana~...Hana~..."
The high pitched voices of the trees echoed her name as she ran. She soon found herself stopped in front of a tiny hut.
"What is this?" she asked herself as she dropped to her knees. A dim glowing light came from within, as well as a language she didn't quite understand... and yet...she did.
It sounded all too familiar to her as she reached her hand inside...and...

"...I'm awake." Hana said softly as she rubbed her eyes...
Her heart was still pounding from that realistic dream...
She wandered her eyes around the wooden cabn...the light of the morning barely cracking through the window and lighting a mass on the small table that she hadn't noticed the previous day.
"A House Warming gift from Mayor Lewis..." she said softly, pulling herself from the creaking matress to get a better look, "They're Parsnips..." she smiled. Her Grandpa used to make the best parsnip soup...
Well...best not to waste them.
Everytime she visited her grandfather, she always remembered he had a garden... a small one of farm grown veggies...and one of flowers, just for Hana to take care of. She loved flowers...
Hana fell silent...blue eyes glassing over once again.
"Tulips should be in season...right?" she asked herself softly as she looked toward the window, "Perhaps I will go to the local Market and buy some to plant with these..."

She wandered around Pelican Town. A lot had changed... but at the same time everything was the same.
Old places...New Faces.
She turned into the Market, the bell chiming in their arrival.
"Hello! Welcome to Pierre's!" waved the man behind the counter, "I'm Pierre, the owner, is there anything I can assist you with?"
"Yes, actually." said Hana, "I'm Hana
"Ahh, you're old Chester's girl!" Pierre smiled, "Yeah he spoke an awful lot about you... You were his pride and joy, you know?" he chuckled softly giving her a sad smile, "I'm sorry for your loss."
"Well...Grampa Chester left me the deed to his farm." said Hana, "So I just moved in over there now..."
"Oh I see." Pierre beamed, "That's wonderful news!"
"Yeah." Hana smiled, "Anyway, Pierre, I was actually coming here to see if you had any flowers?"
"Hmm...flowers, huh?" Pierre pondered, "Well actually I do believe that Tulips and Blue Jas are in season!"
"Ah! That's wonderful!" Hana said softly with a small smile.
It was a temporary bliss, but an improvement for the better...
"I'm afraid I don't have too much to spend at the moment." said Hana, "But I'll gladly take 10 packs of each, okay?"
"A pleasure doing bussiness with you~" Pierre grinned.

"There...that's the last one." said Hana.
She knelt as she finished planting the flower bulbs not too far from the Parsnip Garden.
"I bet those are going to be beautiful when they bloom~!" she grinned.
Hana was relieved to finally see her mood change gradually. It was hard for to be here...but this place was her Grandpa's pride and joy. And her grandpa was her whole world.
"Wow...I sure have a lot of work to do here, huh?" said Hana as she glanced over all the scattered rocks and over grown brush mingling with the abundance of trees.
"But once I have this place running again...I know I'll make Grampa Chester proud." she said softly placing a hand over her heart.
The ginger managed another smile asthe wind blew around her.
Most wouldn't seem to notice much...
But Hana could swear she heard the call of her name in the trees.
She seemed entranced by something in these old woods...
Always had been drawn to them.
She blinked with a tilt of the head as something dancing and green seemed to hop just barely across her vision... Her eyes would narrow softly into a close, slowly taking in some deep breaths as she whispered to herself.
"...Everything is fine."
