After the movie, the three were talking. "So, where to next?" Neru said. "Umm… we didn't plan on going anywhere else after the movie." Maya said, "I was just planning on taking her home." "Well, I think we should go get some ice cream!" said Eve. "Splendid idea, Eve!" Neru replied, "Come on! I know the perfect place! Follow me!" Neru ran off and Eve and Maya followed her.
The three sat at one of the tables of the ice cream store. Maya looked around the familiar surroundings. Hasn't changed a single bit since they were young. "I used to come here with Yamato all the time." Neru said, "Pretty nostalgic to think about it." Neru noticed something scratched on the tables. "It's still there!" Maya took a look at it. An etching of an umbrella with Neru and Mako's name on it. "She really did that?" Maya thought to herself. "What's still there?" Eve asked. Maya completely forgot that Eve was there with them. "Huh? Who's Mako?" Eve asked. Maya shuddered. Hearing that name come out from Eve's mouth felt so wrong. "Mako is just… Maya's twin brother!" Neru quickly made up. Eve looked at the two, before moving on. "Anyways, I might get vanilla." Eve said, "What about you two?" "Mint chocolate chip" Neru and Maya said at the same time. Eve laughed. "You two are so in sync." "Hehe, yeah!" Neru said. "So… I guess I'm paying then?" Maya said. "No, I think I'm gonna pay." Eve said, before walking off to the counter. "You should thank me for saving your ass." Neru said to Maya.
As the group were eating their ice creams, Eve decided to ask Maya something. "Maya-chan, you and Neru-chan have been acting a bit weird." "Have we?" "Nah! We're definitely fine!" "Maya, it appears that you've been spending more time with Neru than with me." Eve said. "Well… yeah." Maya said, "After being apart for so long, it's only natural that we spend as much time togther reconnecting." "Yamato's right!" said Neru. "Maya… who is Neru to you?" Eve asked. "I already told you! She's my childhood friend!" Maya said. "Yeah! That's right! Absolutely nothing more!" Neru added. Eve stared at her intently, then looked at Maya. "Maya-chan? May I talk with you alone for a second?" Eve asked. Maya nodded. Eve took Maya and dragged her outside.
"Maya, I know you're hiding something." Eve said. "I'm not hiding anything," said Maya. "Really? Because you have never mentioned Mako until now." Eve said. Maya sighed. "Okay, you got me," she said, "I used to be a boy named Mako." Eve gasped. "I knew it." "I'm sorry, Eve. But this is who I really am!" "No, that's not the part I have a problem with." Eve said. "Then what are you-" "You and Neru are more than just friends." "Eve, I can explain!" "Forget it. I'm going home." Eve said, "Have fun with your date with Neru." And with that, Eve was gone.
