-Japan, millions of years ago-
He walked through the grassland, passing by his fellow beings. Beneath him, the ground trembled. Above, the sun gleamed and it's rays shone down on his scaly being along with the rest of his reptilian brethren. He reached down, grabbing the small animal trying to avoid him, and then devoured it all.
One gulp, nothing else.
His eyes briefly glanced at the stegosaurus eating the grass, he saw a pair of Raptors. And somewhere in the distance, the T-Rex roared. A calm wind blew through the land, all was warm and at peace. Trees swayed, leaves shuffled and the creatures kept eating, he did the same with the mammals and whatever else he ate.
Then, he looked up, seeing it gleam as bright as the sun. All the way from beyond the surface, the flaming rock barreled towards the earth, surrounded by fire as it burst through a cloudy layer and soared over his head.
Chaos.
The rock struck, colliding with terra-ferma and the shockwave shook the world. An explosion of dust and fire rose into the sky, Pteranodons flew fast with shrieks, attempting to escape the incoming storm of death.
Trees were uprooted and the grass began to singe, the world consumed by chaos. It was the end of an age. All around him, the others were consumed. And yet, he survived.
He made his way through it all when all calmed down, when he was alone and back on his feet, approaching the fallen object. He got closer, feeling the heat burn into his being. And with every second as he got closer, he could feel his cells restructuring, a burning sensation in his body.
And in that moment, he'd reawakened, privy to the new power growing within him.
Around him, there weren't many reptiles that remained, all of them had fallen to this great power that accompanied the rock, but the mammals survived. They would dominate the earth, they would evolve beyond what they were. But he, the only dominant reptile left on the planet, he would bring a new age for the universe.
His eyes glowed with volatile power, he felt his spines gleam, and he roared as lightning exploded in the darkened sky. He would grow in strength, he would arise once more, and would lay low for when the time had come.
Irradiated and feeling himself change, he retreated to the depths of the Earth, silently preparing for his emergence and for when the time came to rise again.
And as the years passed, a new species would rise, a new civilization, replacing who would be known as the dinosaurs. And all of them never knew who was beneath them, waiting to rise.
-Japan, now, the 21st Century-
Godzilla marched through the mountains, the country alit in flames as the hills burned with fire. Smoke filled the night sky and people screamed as they were consumed.
The great demonic King of the Monsters trampled all under foot, feeling no pity, they deserved nothing in return other than the fall of their civilization and the decimation of the moon.
The nearby mountain shrine crumbled, exploding in rubble beneath the beast's feet. Godzilla roared and his roar shook the earth. More cracks formed in the ground, those who survived shook with great dread.
For many a generation, there had been many versions of the story of the apocalypse, but they all converged on the rise of the beast.
He stomped down the mountain, crushing the village below as he made his way towards Kumamoto. Under his shadow, a lone surviving woman dropped to her knees, and prayed to the dark sky, praying to the heavens for salvation and forgiveness and hoping her family would be spared.
And those were her final wishes as the foot came down, crushing her and extinguishing her life forever.
He slowed his footsteps and concentrated his destructive energy, his dorsal plates glowing ominously in the dark as he prepared to unleash his power again. Godzilla opened his maw wide and the power of his nuclear breath exploded forth upon the city.
A ray of death burned down on Kumamoto, obliterating the ancient structures and modern architecture to the stone age. People screamed as they were burned or crushed beneath the falling rubble, their last thoughts on this earth being of their loved ones' well-being or whether The Lord would have mercy on their souls.
Even then, their final hopes meant nothing, Godzilla was demonic God-incarnate, a God of Death, and he'd decided the fates of all who lived on the planet, he'd emerged from below with the power to make the world a nightmarish hell for his victims.
Godzilla obliterated every inch of the city, leaving no survivors.
He raised his head upward and turned his maw as he continued to release his frightening fire of doom, letting his power stretch beyond Kumamoto, burning through the countryside for miles until Sasebo, Fukuoka, Otia, Kochi and Matsuyama were obliterated by a tornado of fire.
Across more inches of Japan, more people perished, more were hurt, and more civilization was destroyed. Military bases, civilian homes, buisness establishments, the apocalypse claimed it all.
Death reigned, brought on by a power greater than the bombs that had obliterated Hiroshima and Nagasaki or the many bombs that had struck the German city, all during the war.
He marched through the burning country, his eyes, mouth and dorsal plates all aglow with power, his being illuminated by the flames. His eyes were lit with sinister satisfaction, he could feel the fear and pain of those he annihilated, the world trembled before him as he dreamed it would all those centuries ago.
Many bowed in worship of his power, fearing him for their lives.
Many hid in fear.
Millions watched on, across the world, as the news of the terror came to them. The smoke hanging over Japan spread outward, spreading across the world, the true extent of Godzilla's radioactive power.
China, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan. Nowhere was safe from the cloud of apocalyptic radiation, the cloud continued to grow and mist would soon begin descending upon millions in other cities across many continents, brought on by Godzilla, the shadow of death looming over all with no hope for the survival of humanity.
He looked up, seeing a war plane fly over, the humans were desperate for salvation. Japan's army and their allies in the Americans had decided to take action. The planes flew over and their bomb bay doors opened, the payload dropping.
First came the bunker busters, crashing down upon the beast and hardly leaving a scratch. Then the big one came down, the nuclear bomb. The explosion shook the countryside, shrouding the surrounding area where it exploded, and consuming Godzilla.
It was nothing compared to the great radioactive meteor that gave him his strength. When the dust cleared, he still stood, having gained more strength than ever. Godzilla turned to face the planes flying over and opened his maw, letting out a roar, and then he fired, obliterating them all.
Death reigned. And yet, Vishnu did not take on a multi-armed form, he'd taken the form of a demonic fire-breathing beast that took on the form of a dinosaur. Godzilla gleamed with power and multiplied once more, once more becoming two Godzillas, and then it was three and four.
The multiplied Godzilla stomped through the ruined countryside, stomping through the ruins of the towns that the beasts' great power had reached.
And no one stood in their way.
He opened his mouth wide once more, so too did the other Godzillas, and both beasts breathed heavily, building up more energy from within and then they unleashed the biggest beam of destruction the world had ever seen. It tore through the land, taking chunks of the Earth with it and obliterating more Japanese cities.
The explosion was so great, a mushroom cloud rose into the sky, bigger than any other blast. And from space, a hint of the devastation could be seen as lights shut down and the mushroom cloud rose.
Godzilla then opened his maw wide again as his size increased, he was now more taller than ever. He roared and his jaws glowed, giving off an ominous orange glow, the other Godzillas opened wide, their jaws agleam with the ominous power they emitted. They breathed in and a burst of wind rippled through the wasteland.
Dust rose from the ground along with remaining grass and leaves, swirling in mid-air, and then all of it was sucked into the mouth of the beast, a massive radioactive vortex of destruction swirled, sucking in EVERYTHING like a black hole pulling in a star.
The once mighty island nation of Japan, shaken by the rise of Godzilla in one night, found itself being ravaged by the beast's atomic vortex.
Trees flew into the mutated dinosaurs' maws and the nearest city was ripped off it's foundation, people screaming as they were lifted into the air, being pulled into the heart of the destructive force itself.
A swirling radioactive tornado engulfed the countryside as everything was pulled in, burning and crumbling as it all went into Godzilla. People screamed as they were burnt to a crisp upon coming closer, burning to a skeleton, and then burning to dust.
He pulled it all in, the mountains exploded from their roots, even the destroyed and flaming hills were uprooted as magma exploded from the depths below. The hills exploded around Godzilla and their remnants were absorbed into the nuclear vortex.
Godzilla inhaled it all, swallowing everything. And then, the wind ceased and his mouth closed, the dust cleared to reveal a burning wasteland that looked as if a nuclear bomb and a meteor had wiped away it all.
The unimaginable power of Godzilla, it was said gods had the power to wipe away everything just as they could create it.
With his power, Godzilla had done just about that, all the Godzillas. He threw his head back to the sky, choked with smoke and radioactive clouds, and roared as more lava exploded from the craters where the mountains had stood moments before.
The beasts marched onward as the survivors scrambled for survival, struggling in the situation they faced as death loomed over them all. The world's weapons were of no use, artillery couldn't make a dent in the monsters. The situation was hopeless, there was no way of escaping the reality that was Armageddon.
And Godzilla was Armageddon, straight up.
He stomped through what was left of Itoshima, bringing down the remaining buildings under his heel and crushing the survivors. Tanks fired on him, a military force stepping in to try and fight back, despite the futility. The beast opened it's maw, ready to fire his atomic rays once more...
Then, a helicopter flew in and the door opened to reveal a pair of soldiers holding a large gun, aimed at the beast. The Godzillas roared and prepared to strike, the soldiers pressed the trigger and a massive beam of light illuminated the ruins.
Godzilla roared, feeling the new force that was hitting him. It was a new power he'd never felt, this one brought something painful. And he could feel his atoms disintegrating, his whole being was becoming undone, every cell melted into nothing and he glowed one last time before he became intangible with the world.
Godzilla, the great beast, the Destroyer of Worlds, disintegrated.
Every molecule, every cell, every atom and every trace of his being. He gave off a weak roar, cursing the world. The humans had unleashed a secret weapon he never thought they'd unleash, their science was beyond his intellect. Godzilla could feel himself fading, the other Godzillas had faded back into him.
The demon caved in, fallen by a new power. And then, there was nothing that remained of the great destroyer of worlds except for the radioactive clouds that loomed over, blocking out the sky. Nature would take it's course and the world would heal.
However, the scars would remain. But the menace was gone, the tide of the apocalypse turned back. And the whole world could wake up to live again, free from the terror that had besieged a nation overnight, all thanks to a new weapon made in China greater than the atom bomb...
The End
