I've been wanting to write a big speculative fic on what would be the perfect ending, and I was writing 1, but it came out of more anger and frustration and fear, and it didn't really work for me. So I stopped writing that 1.

With the new cryptic teasers out from TV Line (that 2nd Q that was answered is mine!), here is, basically my ideas on what I believe to be 'emotional surprises'! And since other teasers say that this will be a sunny finale with everyone still being alive, I strived for realism the best I could here.

Hope you enjoy the fluff here! And if the ending itself turns out to be bad, or Hetty doesn't how, then consider this the best fix it fic!

'Dude, this feels like a trap of sorts.' Deeks remarked as he and the wedding party made their way up to the dark party hall.

'Well, did anyone bring their weapons at least?' Kensi asked.

'Sure, we're always prepared.' Sam replied. 'Got anything hidden in those dresses?'

'Certainly!' Fatima quipped.

As everyone made their way into the very dark hall.

'Helloooo? Anyone?' Callen calmly asked

'SURPRISE!'

Everyone jumped. Deeks even let out a bit of a squeal.

Turns out, the entire hall was decorated for a big reception party!

'When I heard you were eloping, My 1st thought was 'How are you going to have a party at the last minute?' So, I found this place, rented it, and with help, had it decorated and stocked up at the last minute!' Arkady said.

'This, is amazing! How did you get all this so quickly?!' Anna asked, very surprised at her dad's quick efforts.

'I have friends who owe me a few favors, That Nina girl brought the food, and well. I co rented this place with a dear friend who hasn't been around in a long time.'

'Who?'

Arkady walked away, and there was Hetty. Smiling proudly at the table with the big wedding cake.

'You didn't think I'd miss this happy celebration , did you?' She asked.

Everyone was shocked. Their beloved leader, who had been overseas since Fall of 2021, been thought to be dead more then once by either a drone strike or a horrific ambush, had finally come home!

'What are you all staring at? Get over here!'

That seemed to snap everyone out of their shock, because then they all rushed up to her, and talking really fast.

'When did you get home? How did you survive? I'm so glad you're home!' were just some of the questions they were all asking at a rapid pace.

'Whoa whoa whoa! I'll get to answering all your questions in due time! (chuckle). There's someone I need to talk to first.' Hetty said. Then she turned to Callen, who was still standing where he was, still looking shocked. The most important mother figure in his life really had made it home for his big day after all, even after he decided to elope! (and also deciding to wear 1 of her tuxes from work, which she really didn't like without permission).

She happily walked up to him.

'I, I really was waiting for you to return before doing this! But after what happened today, I just couldn't wait any longer! I really did want you there.' Callen softly said, sounding really emotional.

'It's okay. There were times where I thought I wouldn't make it home either.' Hetty replied.

'I know everything. I know you pulled me out of that project when you heard.'

'I couldn't stand what was being done to you! I just wanted you to reach your full potential, but not like what was being done to you. You, are the closest to a son I've ever had, and I love you, Grisha. Now can we please hug before I start crying in front of everyone?'

Then they shared a long, and definitely emotional hug. Everyone, even Kilbride, were very touched.

'Thank you for coming home!' Callen happily said.

'My pleasure.'

At 1 of the tables

'Wow! That was quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!' Fatima said, waving away a small tear.

'I know! Like, Hetty just showing up and that hug?! I have, no words to describe all that!' Roundtree replied.

'They love each other so much, who knew?!'

'I love you too!'

Stunned silence.

'What?' Fatima asked, very stunned.

'Oh man, this isn't how I pictured starting this! Um. Ever since the day we met, You have been the most fantastic woman I've ever met! You're brave, beautiful, and an amazing partner! I love you, Fatima Namazi. And I just wanted you to know that.' Roundtree replied.

Silence.

'I, love you too.' Fatima said.

Stunned. 'You do?!'

'Yeah! You've been an amazing guy, possibly the best guy I've ever known and worked with! And I don't know how long I've had these feelings for you, but I'm saying them now: I love you too, Devin Roundtree.'… 'Should we kiss now?'

Then they shared a short, but lovely kiss.

Hetty was happily watching her happy family from 1 of the tables when Kilbride walked over wanting to talk.

'Well, you really are just full of surprises, aren't you?' He asked.

'I know how to survive, Hollace. I've survived war zones many times, Syria was not that different.' She replied.

'I see your 2 minions over at that other table have also survived.'

She turned and saw Keane and Zasha enjoying themselves with the food.

'They were great assets out there. I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for them. Things happened out there, Hollace, that I prefer to keep to myself. Things that I don't think you'll sympathize with.'

'I'd ask, but I know what kind of answers you'll probably give, and I won't like or understand any of them.'

'Now that I'm back, you can now take time off to be with your family.' Hetty said. 'I'm back to stay, I got the team from here. You need to patch things up with your son.'

Kilbride wanted to say more, but he decided not to, given Hetty's secretive ways at keeping tabs on everyone, even while being overseas.

'I'll leave tomorrow.' He finished. Then he went off to 1 of the tables.

Then Hetty went off to the dance floor.

'Should we tell them?' Deeks asked.

'I think so. Everyone's already so happy, let's give them another reason to be happy!' Kensi replied.

Deeks cleared his throat. 'Ahem. Can I have everyone's attention please?! Can you over there stop the music please? Thank you!'

Everyone stopped to wonder what was up.

'Today, Kensi and I received some wonderful news today. News that we thougt that we would never get. News that, has me so happy right now to get to be married to such an amazing, wonderful woman. To cut to the chase…'

'I'm having a baby!' Kensi exclaimed.

Everyone was really stunned to hear. So stunned, they almost forgot to clap and cheer!

'What? That's amazing!' 'Good for you, Deeks!' 'That's awesome!' were just some of the things uttered.

Then Kensi and Deeks kissed.

'Awww!'

It was time for the best man speech.

'Wow. I was so sure I knew what to say before, but now, I'm not sure what to say now! (chuckle).

For a long time, my partner G, didn't know who he was. He was the lone wolf who didn't know his family, didn't even know his first name in fact! Then over the years, he discovered who he really was. He grew to like being part of a team, being part of a family. And then eventually, he even fell in love with that amazing bride over there! (pointing to Anna).

Getting to be his partner for so many years has been, quite the ride! (chuckles). And I'm glad to always stick by his side no matter how bad things get out in the field!

G, you and Anna deserve all the happiness in the world.' Sam said.

'Thank you!' Callen replied in gratitude.

'Now to wrap this up, I believe it's time for some toasts! This first 1, is to those that we lost over the years. No matter how long they've been gone, they are still in our hearts forever.

Dominic Vail, Mike Renko, Lauren Hunter, Owen Granger, Michelle (sniffs), Harley Hidoko, you are always remembered, and we wish you could all be with us today.

Cheers.'

Everyone raised their glasses somberly.

'Now, a much happier one! This 1 is to the bride and groom, may they have all the happiness in the world, and maybe even some little lower case G's in their future!'

Everyone chuckled.

'And this 1 is to Kensi and Deeks for getting to have a child of their own, hope you're all ready to eventually stay up half the night with the baby and deal with dirty diapers and potty training!'

Everyone laughed.

'Yeah uh, I think we'll be fine with all that! (I think).' Deeks responded.

'And this is 1 is for our fearless leader Henrietta Lange, for coming home safe and sound, even despite whatever circumstances you were under. Thank you, and Arkaday for this delightful party!'

Hetty smiled and said thank you.

'And finally, this 1 is for all of you, for being a family all these years. We're more then just team members, we're friends, we're there for each other, we don't abandon each other when the going gets tough, that's more then just great teamwork, that's family.

Cheers to all of you!' Sam finished.

Everyone cheered. Callen and Anna even shared a quick kiss. :)

Then everyone went back to the dance floor to celebrate love, and most of all, family.

Endnotes: Callen and Hetty definitely deserve to have even just 1 emotional moment in the episode. They've been through so much, and now Callen knows that she really does love him. :)
