The young knight easily carried Izuku to the room beyond the reception desk, the young woman managing it having told him where to go as quickly as she could. The master had a meeting currently but upon seeing the state of the greenette and seeing her friend off his post, she knew it was best to take him seriously. The knight offered a polite nod before he took off.
No knock or polite greeting the knight simply swung open the door and gently placed the traveler on the nearest couch, which so happened to also contain a very angry guild master, glaring daggers at said knight. The man had long black hair that haphazardly framed his scarred face, but nearly covered those tired but harshly glaring eyes.
"Iida, what do you think you're doing. And who the hell is this kid?" Asked said man, his voice scratchy, tired but full of disapproving tones.
"Sir, Sorry for interrupting, but this guy ran here from a village to the east. He says last night a cursed creature attacked the village he was staying at and says… Miss Chiyo sent him." The knight, Iida stated in such a bland but loud and polite voice it made even Izuku feel offical.
"Chiyo.. she is supposed to be.." Mumbled the Guildmaster as he turned his now slightly softened gaze to Izuku. His dark grey eyes studying him in depth. He took in his manner of dress, but his haggered appearance and he also made note of the smell coming off of him.
"You saw it, didn't you, kid?" He asked addressing the kid next to him, who shot his own green eyes to meet the gaze of the older man.
"Y-yes, sir.. Sorry. I was trying to catch my breathe while… Iida? Filled you in with what I told him… it wasn't easy getting here as fast as I did."
Finally after hearing the story and hearing the young man respond, the guest perked up and spoke. The woman's voice was loud and full of enthusiasm and mirth. Her red eyes watching the green boy closely.
"Saw it and experienced a very, very small bit of its horror."
The guild master shot her a warning glare before turning back to face the boy. Anyone could see the magic he used had taken a toll on his, assumed, already tired body. It looked like, from his stand point, that the kid didn't develop this skill on his own for his or with his own body, it looked off.
Izuku flinched and sat up straighter at hearing her voice say what she had. A very, very small bit of it's horror? What he saw was scary enough, so the thought of it being much worse than what he'd experienced was mind blowing. After a few seconds he looked down at his hands and took in a shakey breath and started speaking on the subject more.
"Umm.. s-so I just saw a tail before I was crushed by it and some debris from a house… when I woke up Granny Chiyo was hovering over me and she went to explain what had happened.." He paused to look the woman in the eyes and took the opportunity to look her over. He noted she was dressed in Northerner clothing, warm but practical for high altitudes, she was a dragon rider! He was sitting in front of and meeting a dragon rider! The thought made him even more nervous and he felt his face reddening and quickly tried to cover it with his arms and hands in a very awkward visage.
"I-I t-told Iida about it s-so h-he can give you a better run down th-than I can right now! Oh my gosh a dragon rider!" He gushed the last part quietly but after the woman burst into laughter, he realized it wasn't quiet enough. Iida and the guild master just looked at each other before the master simply nodded to Iida.
"Iida I expect a report on all of this later, for now go to the Garrison and tell your father and brother we need to deploy as fast as we can to aid Chiyo and that village." Before he could finish the last word Iida nodded and sped from the room, leaving a bit of dust and a strange smell behind, it was like smoke but not quite, smelled more alchemic. "As you you kid. I think it's probably best if you go with Mitsuki so you can explain to her and her tribe about what you saw exactly. They are the only ones who can do anything about this bother."
Upon hearing her name Mitsuki seemed to break in half with a sly grin. Izuku thought she seemed far to excited for this turn of events and felt his nervousness rise even higher.
"S-sir." Izuku tried before he was interrupted.
"Aziawa.. Kid.. and you are?" The Guildmaster pressed a bit.
"O-oh.. Aziawa, sir.. Nice to meet you." At the introduction Izuku let himself relax a bit. "I-I'm Izuku Midori-"
"Oh! No need for your last name, sweetie! It won't be that for looong!" Sing songed Mitsuki, her mirth seeming to grow with every word being spoken between them. This woman was not behaving likie a tribe leader or representative in trouble or worry.
"Ma'am?" Asked a not relaxed but confused greenette, his hands now on his knees and face full of said emotion.
"Any way. You will go with Mitsuki back to her tribe's home and explain to their King and council, okay? I'll make sure Chiyo is aware." Aizawa paused before looking at Izuku a bit harder. "Do you have family you need to notify? I assume you haven't had the chance?"
"Oh! Yes. I told my mom I'd write at every town but I didn't get the chance at the last village… and I think she needs to know that after I set off mere days ago, I'll already be reach-"
"WHAT?!" Yelled Mitsuki, her body leaping from her chair and practically on the poor kid's lap. She bent over the table and grabbed his hands tightly. "You just left home days ago?! Like really just a few DAYS ago?" Her voice rose with excitement and another emotion, one he assumed was worry.
"Uhh y-yeah. I think just two days ago.. a lots happened so this doesn't feel real. But I have a lot to learn! And I am excited to do so and my mom will support my choice to go and help if I can.. s-so don't worry!" He said as the woman looked him in the eyes, watching his reaction. He felt his face redden again.
Mitsuki made a small noise and sat back down slowly. "Make sure you write your mom and explain the situation fully, ok? Don't leave anything out… and I'll make sure it gets delivered quickly and make it so she can also write you as often as she wants.. you will be required to be in our caves for a while, while we figure out what to do, okay?" Her voice was much less excited and seemed to still carry that worry.
"I'll make sure Chiyo knows, as I said. And don't worry, Iida's family runs the local garrison so this matter for that town will be handled fairly quickly…" Aizawa interjected before standing and going to his desk, his movements slow, and grabbed a few sheets of rough paper, an ink well and quill. "Write fast. I don't think Mitsuki wants to wait around longer than she needs too, its a long flight bac-"
"F-flight?! As in.. on dragon wing?! I-I get to fly on a DRAGON?!" A loud voice seemed to squeak out, meekly but loudly. The thought, scared him but it launched Izuku into an excited tizzy. A dragon! He'd get the change to get close to it! He could get so much information AND! He was going to have a chance to see more when they arrived at the caves! Wait… caves?
Mitsuki seemed amused at his outburst before nodding at the Guild Master. "Yeah Masaru and Katsuki are expecting me by tonight! And I am so excited for my little shit lord to meet little Izuku here! Oh and I suppose to aid in finding the cursed thing.." She relented the last part quietly, as if she really didn't care as much as the first two.
Izuku looked between Aziawa and Mitsuki for a few seconds before the Guild Master sat the paper and ink tools in front of him on the coffee table. He made sure to set the ink well to the right of the paper along with the quill. He assumed the kid was right handed.
"Thank you.. so umm.. where exactly am I going? I know you are dragon riders so I assumed North but where North?" He asked leaning to the table to start writing. He began his letter tell his mom about the cube and about the kind inn keepers he met, then went into what he experienced from the night on. He went into detail about the tail, the curses and how excited he was to help! He knew this would send his mother into worry but hoped her step-dad would step up to help her.
"You'll see sweetie. I can't really tell you til you show my husband how trust worthy you are but I'll make sure you and your mom never miss each others letters!" This seemed to satisfy Izuku as he offered a swift nod before finishing the rather long letter and folding it in a special way so his mother knew it was from him.
"Don't you have a wax seal, sweetie?" Ask Mitsuki, watching him origami the paper slightly. At the shake of his head she let out a tch sound and shook her own head. "We'll have one made for you when we get to your new home."
"N-new home?" Squeaked Izuku's voice.
[A/n] Next post will be traveling and hopefully meeting Katsuki! Sorry for the long wait before we meet out crazy screamer! But it'll be worth it! I am trying to hard to capture everyone! If you see something please tell me!]
