Caught Up
Chapter 3
Lucas stared up at her. Brooke had to be joking.
She didn't come back to Tree Hill to end up married and stuck here.
But truthfully he was surprised she came back at all.
"For the past few years. Victoria has been in control of my life and choices business and personal."
"Me opening up my store was the first step towards leading my own path. This is expanding on that. Hopefully leading to her staying out of my romantic life all together." Brooke replied.
"So i'm all for getting back at Victoria. Especially since she thinks you're taste in guys has improved since we dated."
"Finding out we got married should be eventful." Lucas said.
"Beautiful things die in Tree Hill." Victoria's voice echoed in Brooke's head.
Brooke stared down at her cellphone. She had to get home and prepare to open the store.
Lucas hugged tightly. "Life you Brooke Davis. Has never not been an adventure." He proclaimed.
And with that. They drove to their houses in seperate cars.

Brooke entered her place and found a worried Peyton rushing over to her.
"You know its against best friend and roommate rules to not answer calls or texts. Where were you.?" Peyton asked.
"Whatever don't tell me. Is this how its going to be.?"
"I have to bite my tongue and stare anywhere else whenever i see Lucas and Lindsey in town together.?"
"I shouldn't hate her she seems since enough."
"But she's living with Lucas in that house. That was supposed to be me." Peyton said.
Brooke wrapped Peyton into a hug.
"Hoes over bros. Us living together is just what i need." Peyton said.

"I called Nathan and Halley. I was terrified. I know you grew up here but you can't just take off like that. Were you alone? Were you upset with me? I just need to understand why you felt like this was okay.?" Lindsey questioned.
"There is no excuse for my actions i'm sorry Linds. I was wrong." Lucas said.
