Amara looked over at the hot man as she boarded the cruise. He had been in front of her in line and struck up a short, friendly conversation. He had to be traveling with someone. She refused to believe otherwise. Someone as fine looking and friendly as him had to have someone in his life. That didn't stop her from looking though.
"Your cabin's that way, ma'am," a friendly worker said.
"Thank you," she said.
She carried her two suitcases in the direction he had pointed but her eyes were firmly planted on the ass belonging to the man walking ahead of her. Of course mister hot stuff was going in the same direction. She wasn't complaining. She had a free show of a great ass in a pair of jeans, and that was a fantastic start to her vacation. He suddenly stopped moving. She moved her eyes up and saw he was smirking at her over his shoulder.
"Are you checking me out?" He asked.
"What? No!" She blushed. "I would never."
"You were totally checking me out," he laughed.
"Fine, I was looking," she admitted. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again."
"Are you sure?" He asked.
He shook his ass and grinned at her. She couldn't help but laugh. Mister hot stuff was a great guy all around apparently. Good looking, sweet, and with a sense of humor and the ability to flirt.
"This is my cabin," he pointed at the door. "Where are you going?"
She looked at the number on his door and then the door next to him, and she giggled.
"Apparently I'm your neighbor," she said.
She walked past him and stopped in front of her door.
"Should we come up with a secret code to knock on the wall if we need something?" He asked.
"Sure," she said. "Knock one time for good morning and goodnight. Two times to tell each other breakfast, lunch and dinner is ready. And 27 times if the ship is sinking."
"Panic!" He laughed. "I'm Roman, by the way."
"I'm Amara," she said. "Is your wife in the restaurant finding the best table for lunch?"
"I'm not married," he said. "And no, there's no fiance, girlfriend or boyfriend either. I have a dog but my cousin is looking after him while I'm away. I just really needed a vacation."
"Tell me about it," she sighed.
"I will," he smirked. "Over lunch."
"Smooth," she laughed. "Alright, let me get rid of these bags and we can go eat."
They unlocked their cabins, left their bags in there, and walked to the restaurant together. They found a table in the corner, ordered food, and sat down to eat while they sailed out to sea.
"So what's your story?" She asked.
"Bad breakup," he sighed. "I left her and she set my car on fire. She's in jail now. I sold the house and bought another one but I can't take over until four months from now. So I figured a three months cruise would do the trick and give me a much needed vacation."
"Damn!" She said.
"What about you?" He asked.
"I was supposed to get married and decided against it last minute. Like really fucking last minute. I booked this cruise yesterday, packed my bags, and left the house without a word," she said.
He sighed and pointed at the little, red mark on her cheek.
"Did he give you that mark?" He asked.
"No, his mother did," she said. "It's a long story."
"It's a three months cruise. I got time to hear it," he said.
He smiled warmly at her. Somehow she felt completely safe and at ease around him.
"Alright," she said. "I'll give you all the juicy details of my fucked up relationship if you do the same with yours."
"Deal," he laughed. "Ladies first."
