Here Come the Ginyu Force

Dila and Vegeta stare at the sky, sensing five different energies that had just landed on Planet Namek. While the Tuffle was fairly calm, Vegeta was shaking, fearful of these energies.

Vegeta: "Th-The Ginyu Force? Here!?"

Dila: "The who force?"

Vegeta: "The Ginyu Force… Frieza's elite squad, usually only summoned when a threat neither Zarbon or Dodoria can handle comes along. Compared to them, Ginyu is far stronger…"

Dila: "Great… We barely could handle the blue guy without losing a limb or two…"

Dila turns to the cave as Bulma peeks out.

Dila: "Bulma! You'll want to leave immediately! If what the Saiyan here says is true, then you'll need to get as far away as you can."

Bulma: "What about the Dragon Ball?"

Dila couldn't answer. She wasn't quite sure of how to answer, but as she suspected, the five man squad did arrive, Ginyu at the forefront.

Ginyu: "Well well well… Vegeta! It's been a while! Gave up on joining the ol' Ginyu Force, have you?"

Dila looked at Vegeta with a… slightly confused but amused look as Vegeta looked away.

Vegeta: "I've become an enemy to Frieza now. I have no intention of bowing to that fool any longer! Much less you, Ginyu."

Jeice: "Quite a mouth on ya, monkey boy. Maybe I oughta knock some teeth outta ya."

Recoome: "Hey look it! There's a lady with Vegeta. Is she his girlfriend?"

Suddenly, Dila gave Recoome quite an evil glare. The dark aura emitting from her actually… frightened the big guy. He was certainly stronger by a long shot, but the look she gave him was still very scary.

Dila: "I'd rather destroy my own essence than date a Saiyan."

Recoome: "Yeesh… She's scary…"

Guldo's scouter then detects two power levels approaching. Gohan and Krillin arrive as back up for the heroes.

Burter: "Well look at this. Two more worms have arrived."

Guldo: "Hmph! They don't look so tough. But hey, what luck. Four guys, four Force members."

Ginyu: "Excellent deduction, Guldo! Hehehe… You four can handle these low lifes while I deliver the Dragon Ball to Lord Frieza."

Dila tried to block Ginyu's way, but Recoome immediately tackled her into the wall, almost knocking her out in one hit. She was certainly going to be feeling that one. Thankfully, Bulma was hiding in the closet when Ginyu stepped in to claim the Dragon Ball, not being a fighter and all. Once he has his prize, he leaves his group to fight the heroes. Guldo and Jeice approach Gohan and Krillin respectively; Burter rushed at Vegeta, decking the prince in the nose; and Recoome already chose his opponent, who did recover after that tackle.

Dila: "Okay… You hurt. A lot."

Recoome: "Hehe! I'm da muscle of the Ginyu Force! And I'll show ya more pain!"

Recoome tries to grab at Dila, but the Tuffle jumps over the humanoid as he crashes into the wall behind her. She immediately jumps back to get some distance.

Dila: "Think, Dila… You can't fight this guy head on… That tackle alone almost broke your body… So how do I handle this guy?"

Recoome: "What's wrong? I've barely started and you're sweatin' bullets. Are ya gonna start cryin'?"

Dila remained focused, but she could tell what Recoome was doing. He was trying to get her to make some reckless move. But she wasn't one to take simple bait. When Recoome notices she wasn't taking it, he just smiles before launching a ki blast. As Dila avoids the ki blast, Recoome comes in from above and slams his fist onto her from above, sending her into a deep crater. The impact alone did massive damage to her body since her regeneration was having to play catch up. Gohan notices Dila was in trouble as he fights Guldo.

Gohan: "Dila!"

Guldo: "Sorry, kid. But you're fighting someone already. Me!"

Guldo then uses his telekinesis to stop Gohan in his tracks, causing the half Saiyan to struggle as the green alien looks around for anything to use on his stunned prey. He then starts forming a spike made of rocks, chuckling to himself as he readied it to slice Gohan.

Krillin: "Oh no!"

Jeice: "Eyes up here, mate! Yer 'bout to feel my Crusher Ball Barrage!"

Krillin looks up and attempts to dodge the meteor strikes of flaming hot ki blasts. But as soon as he dodged the last one, Jeice landed a hard kick on the bald man's face, sending him to the ground as the red guy smirked. Unfortunately, Vegeta wasn't faring much better against the self proclaimed 'fastest thing in the universe' as the prince was hit by a barrage of swift attacks from every direction.

Vegeta: "D-Damn it! They're too much for us!"

Burter: "You bet we are, Vegeta. We're the best of the best. Consider this a reminder!"

Burter then lands a hard blow to Vegeta's gut with his knee. Recoome smiles as he grabs Dila's head with his large hand, starting to squeeze.

Recoome: "Man, you were borin'. Ah well."

As Dila felt the pressure increase on her head, she had to do something. She began to charge energy, something Recoome noticed.

Recoome: "Eh? What are ya tryin' to do?"

Dila glared at Recoome before… slicing at the arm holding her head with a Destructo Disc, which was still in her palm rather than thrown. Recoome reels back in pain as he screams, but Dila wasted no time.

Dila: "Gohan!"

Dila turned towards Guldo and tossed her Destructo Disc at the green alien, forcing him to break his concentration and let Gohan go. Gohan quickly charges up a Masenko and fires it at Jeice, blasting him off Krillin. After recovering, Krillin fires off a Scatter Kamehameha to potshot Burter and allow Vegeta a chance to breathe. The heroes quickly regroup as they reassess the situation.

Krillin: "Quick thinking there, Dila! And with my technique too!"

Vegeta: "At least she knows how to use it, Mr. I can't aim for shit at a large target."

Dila: "Shut up, Saiyan! Concentrate on the enemy! Now… We'll need your help. Who do we get rid of first?"

Vegeta: "Hmph… Guldo's definitely a priority thanks to that telekinesis of his. And Recoome is much sturdier, but he can't handle a large group by himself. We take them out, Jeice and Burter will be all that's left."

Dila: "The green guy then? Krillin. Can you do that flashbang thing again?"

Krillin: "The Solar Flare? Yeah?"

Dila: "Then here's what you do…"

As the group planned, the Ginyu Force themselves regrouped as Recoome shook away the pain in his hand. He can still use it, but now he had a deep cut that hurt like a mother.

Burter: "What's wrong, Recoome? A little cut actually hurt?"

Recoome: "Shaddap! It's not the cut… That attack just cut real deep…"

Guldo: "Eh, don't be too hard on him, Burter. Big guy can still take a lot of punishment."

Burter: "Fine, fine. Let's just finish this up and head home for ice cream!"

Jeice: "Oi, yer still on the 'no ice cream' punishment after takin' the Cap'n's last bowl."

Burter: "Grr… Why'd you remind me?"

Vegeta: "Hey! Ginyu Farces!"

This gets the team's attention as they see Vegeta approach them. The Saiyan seemed oddly brave to be facing them alone.

Vegeta: "I think it's about time you took a hike. You stand no chance of beating me, the greatest of all Saiyans."

The Ginyu Force look at themselves, then at Vegeta before bursting out laughing. It was like the funniest joke they had ever heard.

Burter: "Get real, Vegeta! You're nothing compared to us!"

Recoome: "Yeah! Lord Frieza never chose you because you were always a weakling! That's why he blew up Planet Vegeta!"

This seemed to rile up Vegeta, but before he could act on it, Dila let loose the signal. This caused the Ginyu Force to look up as Krillin called out to them before blinding them with a Solar Flare. Vegeta and Dila rush forward at Guldo and Recoome respectively. Vegeta took advantage of the fact Guldo was unable to use his telekinesis in order to slam a fist through his head, killing the green alien instantly. As Recoome was starting to recover, Dila charged up to him and sliced off the arm she previously cut, severing it completely this time as she landed a kick to the big guy's chin, knocking him down. As Burter and Jeice were about to retaliate, Gohan rushed in with a super powered headbutt to Burter's chest, similar to the one he did to Raditz, knocking the wind out of the big blue alien. This gives Vegeta the opportunity to ram his fist right through Burter's heart and blast through him, killing him instantly. Jeice's bravado immediately dropped as he saw two of his team members die and Recoome beginning to wail in pain.

Vegeta: "So what was that about me being nothing compared to you?"

Jeice: "N-No fair! Y-You had a team behind you!"

Dila: "Not wrong. But then again…"

Jeice growled at the tone of Dila pointing out his hypocrisy. But as it seemed like Jeice was about to be teamed up on, Recoome flips back onto his feet, but now, he looked mad.

Recoome: "I'm done messin' around now!"

Jeice: "U-Uh oh… I hadn't seen that look in Recoome in a while!"

Recoome gave an evil smile before starting to charge up energy, his body glowing brightly as Jeice started to duck in cover.

Recoome: "Recoome… Ultra… Fighting… BOMBER!"

Everyone stares at the gathering energy, unable to pull away from it as they were seemingly sucked in. Recoome then unleashes a massive explosion with the gathering energy, sending the heroes flying back as they were caught in the blast. As the blast subsides, Jeice comes out of hiding as Recoome just rolls his neck, cracking it.

Jeice: "Recoome, mate! Give me a heads up next time ya decide to nearly blow up this side of the planet! Last thing I need is to be joinin' our fallen comrades in my deathbed!"

Recoome: "Oop. Sorry. Got a bit carried away there…"

The heroes all lie in defeat, though miraculously alive after that blast had knocked them scattered. As Jeice and Recoome admire their fine work, Ginyu appears, hands on his hips as he sees the collateral damage.

Ginyu: "I was on my way from delivering the Dragon Ball to Lord Frieza and the next thing I saw was a large explosion. What the hell happened!?"

Jeice: "Cap'n! Apologies, sir! Recoome here just went a bit… crazy…"

Ginyu: "Hmph. Where's Burter and Guldo?"

The two remaining Ginyu underlings fall silent, which Ginyu understands. He then looked up in the air, lamenting his men's deaths.

Ginyu: "Well… Fair's fair. These chumps are still alive after that. I think it's time we got rid of a couple of them, to make things even."

Recoome smiled at that and knew just who to kill first. He grabbed the downed Dila, who's regeneration was having to work overtime to compensate for how much damage she took from that blast. Recoome then put her into a hug and started to squeeze. She couldn't shout; her lungs were put out of commission. No one could help her. She was… going to die… After all this, she couldn't even stop these weaker beings who served under Frieza… She had no hope against the tyrant… Her hope faltered, as did her life… As Recoome continued to add pressure, enjoying this way more than anyone should, a sudden, but quick jolt of pain overcame him. On his back, like his spine just snapped. Recoome couldn't shout, the pain was too intense; he eventually dropped the pained Dila before he himself was grabbed and tossed aside so he wouldn't land on the already weakened Tuffle. Dila opened an eye, her vision blurred from the pain she was going through, but she saw a tall man in a red gi and blue sash. A strange emblem on his left breast and back of his gi. His hair was black and quite messy, but what she could identify… was that the man was a Saiyan. Jeice and Ginyu, who didn't even see this man approach until the second it was too late, stare in utter shock. In one blow, Recoome had been felled and didn't look to be getting up.

Jeice: "Wh-What the!? Wh-Where did this guy come from!? And d-did he… just beat Recoome in one shot!?"

Ginyu was stunned silent. Even if the warrior was stronger than Recoome, to essentially break through the humanoid's unnatural endurance with a single hit was… unfathomable. But the newcomer paid the other two Ginyu Force members no mind as he pulled out a sack of Senzu Beans and fed them to first Dila, then to Krillin and Gohan, who were both barely hanging in there.

Gohan: "Huh!? Daddy!? You made it!"

Krillin: "Goku! About time you made it!"

Goku: "Sorry to keep you guys waiting! Trip took longer than necessary, but… I did train up while I was on my way here! When I sensed that huge burst of energy though, I rushed here as fast as I could!"

Dila sat up, having regenerated fully thanks to the Senzu Bean, once again, helping her energy recovery. She locks eyes with the Saiyan, taken aback by his energy level, even suppressed, and his lack of caution. He just gave her a Senzu Bean without even so much as realizing if she were friend or foe.

Goku: "So who's your new friend? Is she a local?"

Krillin: "Um… Not really… Long story, but she's a wayward fighter who's been helping us a bit."

Gohan: "Yeah! She even convinced Vegeta to help us!"

Goku: "Vegeta?"

Goku looks around and finds the prince in a rubble, coughing out blood. The Saiyan from Earth is quick to hand Vegeta a Senzu as well, healing him right up.

Vegeta: "Tch. Kakarot… What are you doing here?"

Goku: "Well, I came to help find some Dragon Balls, but…"

Vegeta looks at the downed Recoome, a bit shocked to see him in that sorry state. Recoome was a powerful brute of a mutant so the idea that Goku, after how much he struggled with the prince's Oozaru form before on Earth, managed to defeat him in one shot was… unbelievable. Still, he couldn't show that. At the very least, Goku's help was a welcome one if they were to fight Frieza on any kind of ground. As this was going on, Ginyu, who's patience had finally reached a boiling point, grit his teeth as he called out to Goku.

Ginyu: "You! Monkey who took down Recoome!"

Goku: "Hm? Who? Me?"

Ginyu: "Yeah, you! Who do you think you are coming here, defeating my men, and ignoring us like we aren't worth your time!?"

Goku: "Well, it's not that you're not worth my time. I'd just rather just fight this Frieza guy. By the way, do you know where he is?"

Ginyu was seething at this. This ingrate thinks he's strong enough to fight Lord Frieza? The nerve of him. Goku though just saw this anger as a bit telling. But then Ginyu gets an idea; a devilish idea.

Ginyu: "Actually, yeah. I do know where he is… But I'm not gonna tell you unless you beat me. One on one. Man to man."

Jeice: "Wha-!? Cap'n! You can't really-"

Ginyu's second in command looks at the good captain before he receives a look. Jeice knew exactly what this look was. It was already time to pull out the big guns. Ginyu then stepped up, getting into a fighting stance as Goku joined in, accepting the duel, if for no other reason than for the sport. Dila, though, was eying Ginyu; he was up to something and this Saiyan was being far too reckless to just accept a duel. The battle began as Ginyu and Goku were pretty equal in power for the moment. Clash for clash, blow for blow, neither giving an inch before Ginyu puts a pause on the fight.

Ginyu: "Heh. Not bad. No wonder Recoome wasn't able to stand up to you. But that's not all your power, now is it?"

Goku: "Not really. I just feel like the fight would end too quickly if I went all out."

Ginyu: "Come on. Give me a show at least. I'm not convinced that you can beat me! Let alone fight Lord Frieza!"

Ginyu unleashes his own full power, which did at least impress Goku. Feeling obligated to show off his power in kind at least, Goku uses his Kaio-ken, which Jeice reads is way higher than the captain's own full power. Ginyu smiles before powering down, with Goku following suit.

Ginyu: "Alright. That's better… I think it's time for a change then…"

Dila, as well as everyone else, glared at Ginyu as he raised a hand. He then shoves the hand right into his own chest, inflicting a rather nasty wound on himself, much to everyone's confusion.

Goku: "Huh? Why did you-"

Ginyu: "Change NOW!"

Ginyu's body then outstretches as a blast of energy catches Goku off guard. Souls then come out of the participants' mouths before entering the opposite bodies. Once the exchange is complete, the Ginyu on one side suddenly looks very hurt and very confused.

Goku: "What the…? Why am I… standing over there?"

Gohan: "Daddy? What happened?"

Dila: "Gohan! Get away from your dad!"

Dila is quick to kick Ginyu in Goku's body, slamming the body snatcher to the ground. Ginyu is annoyed by this as he stands back up.

Krillin: "Dila!? What are you doing!?"

Dila: "That's not your friend! That's the horned guy in his body!"

Krillin: "What?"

Ginyu: "So… You found out that quickly, huh?"

Dila: "You're a fool if you think you could trick me that easily."

Goku looks to Gohan, the pained look of his dad convincing him that what Dila was saying was the truth.

Gohan: "Krillin! Dila's right! Whatever this guy did, it left daddy really hurt!"

Krillin: "Grr… Okay, well… What do we do then?"

Dila: "You two guard your friend in that guy's body; especially from the red guy. Me and the Saiyan will handle that guy in your friend's body."

Krillin: "...We really gotta teach you names…"

Regardless, Krillin and Gohan go to fight Jeice in order to protect the weakened Goku from any sneak attacks. Vegeta, though, cracked his knuckles as he smiled.

Vegeta: "On the one hand, I would have preferred to punch Ginyu right in his jaw just to shut him up. On the other hand, why pass up an opportunity to beat up Kakarot's body after the humiliation back on Earth? This is just cathartic."

Dila: "Just remember our deal, Saiyan."

Vegeta: "I'll remember it when you stop calling me 'Saiyan'. It's Vegeta!"

As Ginyu powers up, Vegeta and Dila lunge at him, getting into a fierce fight with the alien body snatcher. Dila fires off a couple of ki blasts at Ginyu, forcing him to block. But then Vegeta comes in from above and slams an elbow on Ginyu's cheek. Dila dashes toward the alien in Goku's body and slams a kick to his gut. Ginyu dodges a strike from Vegeta, forcing him to back off as he collects his thoughts. He grits his teeth as he should be much stronger than this. But in this body, he is being put on the defensive, especially by Vegeta. Meanwhile, he notices Jeice is having a rough time with Gohan and Krillin, namely Gohan since he seems to be landing more ferocious blows. What was going on?

Vegeta: "A bit confused, Ginyu? Then let me enlighten you. When a Saiyan is put in a near death situation, if they are allowed to live and recover, they are given a boost of energy. A zenkai boost as we call it. After Recoome's attack, me and that boy down there were put in critical condition; meaning from that one attack, we are both much stronger!"

Dila glances at Vegeta, taking a moment to note this bit of information. Ginyu only grits his teeth more before getting ready to Body Change Vegeta. But Dila is quick to punch Ginyu in the gut, with the duo continuing their onslaught on the poor captain. But as Ginyu is knocked to the ground by Vegeta, the alien, now on his back, simply smirks. Goku sees the opportunity as Ginyu was preparing his Body Change.

Ginyu: "Change now!"

Ginyu fires his blast, but Goku intercepts, swapping bodies to their originals, though Goku was pretty beaten up thanks to Vegeta and Dila. Ginyu stands up before glaring at Vegeta, who's taking a moment to process what happened.

Ginyu: "Grrr! This time, I won't miss! Change now!"

Dila: "Of course you won't! Have mine!"

Dila gets in the way of Ginyu's blast, her limbs outstretched to effectively protect Vegeta. At the last second before she is hit, her true form jumps out of the body and falls to the ground as the now lifeless body is hit by Ginyu's attack. His soul travels into the now vacant body, but his body falls dead, no longer having a soul.

Ginyu: "I got him! I got… him?"

Ginyu, in his adrenaline rush, didn't notice his attack connected with Dila's body. At least not until he looked at his hands and noticed how… feminine they looked. He turns around as he sees Vegeta, smirking with an outstretched hand.

Vegeta: "Strike three. You're out."

Without any hesitation, Ginyu is completely destroyed on the spot, the body having no chance of surviving the blast due to how weak it truly was without Dila. Jeice watches in horror as he sees the captain get bamboozled and then killed like that. Outnumbered and outmatched, Jeice tries to make a run for it, but Vegeta simply fires a ki blast and vaporizes Jeice, completely destroying the Ginyu Force. Well… Aside from Recoome who was still knocked out, but that's no big deal for Vegeta. Krillin and Gohan run toward Goku in order to help him up.

Krillin: "Whoa man… That was rough… You couldn't have gone a little easier on Goku, Vegeta?"

Vegeta: "Of course not. It was either beat Ginyu to an inch of his life while in Kakarot's body or killing him outright. I decided to be nice and choose the former."

Gohan: "And Dila gave up her body in order to keep you safe…"

Speaking of, the group found Dila's true form slithering around. Bulma, who had been hiding still up until recently, came out of the cave and scooped up Dila into a jar.

Bulma: "There we go. Now we won't lose track of her."

Vegeta: "And where the hell were you, woman?"

Bulma: "Hey, I'm no fighter, okay!? Besides, I had to hide away when I felt that explosion… You think I was coming out after that? No way!"

Vegeta just rolls his eyes at this. Looking at Dila's goop form, then at Goku, he just sighs. Though he hated to admit it, these two were… useful enough to at least keep around to fight Frieza. So he decides to lead them to Frieza's ship, where, if Frieza wasn't there, they could get Goku into a Rejuvenation Tank to heal. And what luck, the Dragon Balls were in that direction too. Now they just prayed that Frieza wasn't.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on Namek, the emperor himself was face to face with a Namekian. One that wore a blue vest which he tossed off as he got into a fighting pose.

Frieza: "Oh how cute. You wish to challenge me after I came all this way personally for information on the Dragon Balls?"

Nail: "After everything you've done to our people, you will gain nothing from us. Even if it costs me my life, I will end you."

Frieza only chuckled at this before getting ready to put this Namekian in his place.
