Hatch day for Bugs

Rosie wants to plan a surprise birthday for Dim and Maggie because she thinks Dim doesn’t remember having one. Neither does Maggie And she figured with the help of her friends and the ants . How will the party go?

It was a beautiful morning in BugCity and The sun rises over the horizon and the Circus Camp, The sunlight shines threw The window of The house of Rosie, Dim and Maggie. Rosie, Dim and Maggie were sound asleep, Rosie making sleeping sounds and Dim and Maggie making animal like sounds in their sleep. While Dim and Maggie gently nudged each-other while purring.

Until moments later , Pt played the trumpet music playing, signaling his troupe to wake up and begin daily routine.

Pt Flea knocked on all their doors and says!" Okay up and At em you yahoos time for to practice performance."

All the Circus Bugs came out of their partnering homes moaning and groaning.

Francis says!" Pt was this necessary to wake us up in the crack up morning.!"

Molt says!" Yeah what gives, Mr Flea!"

Heimlich says!" Yiah you woke me up out of my candy corn dream!"

Heimlich licks his lips.

All the Circus Bugs tiredly facepalm themselves accept for Dim and Maggie.

Slim says!" You and your stomach Heimlich!"

Rosie says!" Look Pt you can't just start blaring off that thing every crack of Dawn everytime!"Some of us aren't early risers you know!"

Dim moaning half awake , Maggie was yawning too.

Pt.Flea says!" Oh quit your complaining you yahoos your my money makers more money more business Kapessh!"

All The Circus Bugs nodded nervously.

Pt Flea says!" Alright The Royal ant family is coming and has asked us to of wanting to see our performance, so be ready in 1 hr."

Slim sighs.

Francis says!" Yes Pt whatever you say!"

PtFlea says!" Alright!" See you inside the tent !"

Pt Flea leaping away.

The Circus Bugs moans and groans.

Slim says!" Huh I can't believe Pt would wake us in the crack of morning just to get ready to do a performance."

Heimlich says!" Well the good news is Flik and Queen Atta are coming to see our performance."

Rosie says!" You're definitely right on that Heimlich Honey!"

Manny says!" It will be wonderful to see our dear ant friends again!"

Gypsy says!" Well put Manny dear!"

Molt says!" Well since Pt purposely woke us up anyone want to make a Starbucks coffee run to get us all some!"

Slim says!" I can go for one right now!"

Heimlich says!" Yiah Me too!"

Rosie says!" Me , Dim and Maggie can go pick it up!"

Gypsy says!" Sounds like a good idea, Rosie dear!"

Rosie, Dim and Maggie went to go get Starbucks for everyone.

While Rosie, Dim and Maggie went to the Starbucks close by where the Circus is.

Rosie had Dim and Maggie wait outside, While Dim and Maggie waited for Rosie to get the drinks of course she asked what Dim and Maggie wanted.

Rosie says!" What would you like Dim , Maggie honeys?"

Maggie shyly says!" A chai tea latte!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim would like A Chai tea latte too , Mom!"

Rosie says!" Okay Honeys ." I'll be right out with yours wait out here okay honeys!"

Dim and Maggie shyly nodded in agreement.

While Rosie goes inside and waits in line.

Maggie and Dim were talking for a little bit.

Maggie shyly says!" It was nice of Miss Rosie to get us some drinks, I didn't know there was a Starbucks." Have you ever had some Dim!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim has had some before, Dim likes Starbucks!"

Maggie says!" That's amazing Dim." How do you put up with Miss Rosie's boss!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim gets tired from time to time not easy to get a break!"

Maggie shyly says!" Oh my goodness that does seem very rough." I'm glad I'm not in your shoes right now otherwise I would definitely loose my mind!" It be like being told to do something especially when feel uncomfortable!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim knows how you feel Maggie!"

Maggie shyly says!" Thank you , you're easy to talk to Dim!" By the way I'm 16 !"

Maggie blushes shyly.

Dim Shyly says!" You're Welcome Maggie!" You're easy to talk to Maggie!" Dim is 16 too!"

Maggie shyly but secretly kissed Dim on his cheek ,Maggie smiles shyly.

Dim Shyly returned the kiss on Maggie's cheek.

And moments later, Rosie came back .

Rosie says!" Sorry about the long wait honeys!"

Maggie says!" It's okay Miss Rosie do you need help carrying the stuff!"

Rosie says!" Of thank you Maggie honey, I would love that!"

Rosie gives some of the items for Dim and Maggie to carry and they walk back to The other Circus Bugs.

All the Circus Bugs had their Starbucks.

Once they finished their Starbucks.

All the Circus Bugs met in the tent, to get ready and of course Maggie will be watching from the stands, and of course not moments later King Flik and Queen Atta shows up to come watch the Circus Bugs performing.

The royal ants and the Circus bugs greet each other before they started. Maggie was shy. Maggie hides behind Dim and Rosie.

Rosie says!" It's okay Maggie honey, it's only King Flik and Queen Atta!" Remember we met them on ant island!"

Maggie shyly looks and King Flik and Queen Atta waved at Maggie.

Maggie shyly but surely waved back to them.

Rosie says to King Flik and Queen Atta!" It will take Maggie time to warm up to you Flik and Atta honey!"

King Flik says!" It's okay Rosie we understand!"

Queen Atta says!" Maggie's very beautiful!"

Maggie overhearing she blushes and smiles at the compliment.

Rosie says!" Aww That's so sweet of you to say Atta honey!"

King Flik says Dim!" She's definitely a keeper Dim!" It's adorable that she has a love crush on you!"

Dim Shyly smiles at the compliment.

Then moments later. The Circus Bugs got situated for their practice performance and Queen Atta and King Flik and Maggie watched in the stands. As the practice performance got on the way.

—Later on that day—

Once The Circus Bugs finished their practice performance , Queen Atta , King Flik and Maggie got up and cheered. Maggie was all but amazed of how the Circus Performance was especially Watching Her Boy /Friend crush Dim doing his performance with Rosie it definitely awwed her.

Once King Flik and Queen Atta and Maggie walked out to hangout together.

Queen Atta says!" That was a wonderful performance!"

King Flik says!" Of course I can definitely see what you mean by the flaming death act being tired after a while!"

Slim says!" Yep pretty much!"

Francis says!" You're right on that one Flik!"

Molt says!" So what do you guys want to do !"

Rosie sneaks over to Flik and pulls him aside.

Rosie says!" Excuse me Flik honey! I was wondering if you guys would like to help me out with something!"

King Flik says!" Oh sure thing Rosie what's that!"

Rosie whispers the details to Flik.

King Flik nodded in agreement with the idea.

King Flik says!" Change of plan guys," Um Dim and Maggie you might want to go over there !"

Dim and Maggie shyly in confusion.

Dim and Maggie says!" Huh!"

Rosie reassured Dim and Maggie.

Rosie says!" It's okay Dim and Maggie honeys the grownups are needing to do something really quickly will let you comeback into tent in 3 hrs prior."

Dim Shyly says!" What do you want Dim and Maggie to do until then mom!"

Rosie thinks of an idea.

Rosie says!" How about you two go see a movie!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim didn't know there was a movie theater."

Maggie shyly says!" Um Miss Rosie, are you sure you want us to go to a movie theater by ourselves!"

Rosie says!" It's only for temporary Honeys!" I promise you will just need to be back in 3 hrs!" Do you understand what I'm telling you Dim , Maggie!"

Maggie says!" A little bit Miss Rosie!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim understands mom!"

While Rosie gave Dim and Maggie.

Of course while Rosie was explaining to The two teenage Rhinoceros Beetles. King Flik and the others go into the tent to get things situated for the surprise birthday party for Dim and Maggie.

King Flik says!" Okay guys let's get crackin!"

Molt says!" Yeah that was close one don't want Dim and Maggie know !"

Queen Atta says!" Thankfully Rosie is taking care of that!"

A few minutes past.

Rosie came into the tent and Dim and Maggie left to go out .

Rosie sighs in relief.

Rosie says!" Whew thank goodness they bought it!"

Francis says!" Yep adolescents can be very unpredictable!"

Francis would stare at Heimlich.

Heimlich says!" What I'm not unpredictable!"

Slim bumped Francis in the side.

Francis says!" Ow what was that for twig!"

Slim says!" We already took care of them Francis."

Queen Atta says!" So do we have any idea what they like!"

Molt says!" I have no idea I don't talk to Dim !"

Slim says!" What do you think Dim and Maggie would like Rosie!"

Rosie says!" Dim doesn't really have much he would be into!" I did ask him the question though if he would want!"

Gypsy says!" Whats that Rosie dear!"

Rosie says!" Well I think Dim would like an iPod to Listen to light music and sounds to help him sleep or a nightlight and for Maggie I think she would like for me adopt her like I have adopted Dim."

All the Circus bugs and ants went in awed!

Queen Atta says!" Aww that would be wonderful Gifts to give them, Rosie!"

Rosie says!" Thank u Atta honey!" I should probably go get the gifts!"

Slim says!" Hold up Rosie I'll go with you I figured you can use the helping hand!"

Rosie says!" Oh Thank you Slim honey!"

Slim says!" You're welcome Rosie!"

King Flik says !" Will start working on party favors and cake!"

Manny says!" Me and Gypsy will make a cake Flik my boy!"

King Flik says!" Thanks Manny!"

Meanwhile, Dim and Maggie were looking for the movie theater and found it.

Maggie says!" I had no idea there was a movie theater!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim didn't know either!"

Maggie shyly says!" Well I guess since we're here want check it out Dim!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim isn't sure if we're allowed to go in!"

Maggie says!" How come!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim sees a sign !"

Maggie says!" Oh this one right here, I can read it for you Dim!" Hmm!" It says!" Any bugs under 19 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian!" Oh!" Okay!" That explains it oh well, we can do something else to kill time , Do you have any recommendations that we could do Dim!"

Dim Shyly says!" Dim can't really think of anything that could do, accept go to a cafe or lunch or something , Dim don't go out much."

Maggie shyly says!" Well Miss Rosie did give us the money!" It's in the purse she gave me to hold!" Maybe we can do that!"

Dim Shyly nodded his head in Agreement and He and Maggie trying a cafe to get some lunch." Dim Shyly moans and looks around. Showing that Dim is having a little bit of the Shyness Love for Maggie and his confidence in telling Maggie how he feels for her.

Maggie turns around and sees that how Dim is feeling as if she knows something is troubling him.

Maggie reassures Dim, By Nudging Dim gently with her smooth freckled horn and Dim shyly smiles and returns the embrace. Dim and Maggie started purring like lion and lioness showing affection and love for each-other they just don't know it yet! Meanwhile it was two hours in and Rosie and Slim got back with getting gifts for Dim and Maggie. Manny and Gypsy finished making the cake they went with the vanilla . Since they're not sure but realized that Dim and Maggie aren't picky eaters.

Once the cake has been made and frosted Manny and Gypsy went back over to the tent and puts the birthday cake.

Rosie and Slim wrapped the presents. And puts them on the table.

Rosie says!" Whew thank goodness that's all done."

Slim says!" Thats a relief!" I'm surprised you want to do this Rosie."

Rosie says!" Of course I wanted too!" Dim is my adopted (beetle) son after all and having Maggie here has definitely helped Dim be more calmer and happier with someone his own age and species and helping him with his confidence. I wanted to show her my love for her."

All the other Circus bugs and the royals ants went in awwed.

Gypsy says!" Thats so wonderful to think of It that way Rosie dear."

Rosie says!" Thank you Gypsy honey!"

Gypsy says!" You're Welcome Rosie dear."

Francis says!" Speaking of which shouldn't Dim and Maggie be coming back soon!"

Slim says!" I can go pop my head out to see if they're coming!"

King Flik says!" Okay everyone when Slim gives the signal that Dim and Maggie are coming that means will need to hide!"

Francis says!" Right ahead of you Flik!"

Heimlich says!" Ohh this will be so exciting I bet Dim and Maggie won't suspect a thing!"

While Slim was looking to see if they were coming and sees Dim and Maggie coming back. Slim sees them and goes back into the tent.

Slim says!" They are coming."

King Flik says!" Okay everyone let's hide!"

While everyone was hiding.

Dim and Maggie were walking back towards the tent!

Maggie shyly says!" I had a good time , how about you Dim!"

Dim Shyly says!"Dim had a good time with you too, Maggie!"

Maggie shyly says!" Me too, Dimmy!" I mean Dim oh dear that came out wrong!"

Maggie blushes with embarrassment.

Dim Shyly chuckled characteristically. As if Dim knew what Maggie meant to say.

Dim Shyly but surely, Nudges Maggie gently and Purring and Maggie returned the embrace.

Dim Shyly but surely secretly kissed Maggie on the lips. As if Dim Shyly meant to just kiss her on her horn. Dim Shyly blushes with embarrassment.

Maggie smiled shyly.

Dim Shyly smiles blushes red.

—later that night—

As it got late The Circus Bugs bid Goodnight to the royal ants, and the surprise party was a success as well! Dim and Maggie liked their presents too. And of course that was why Rosie sent Dim and Maggie out by themselves for the time span. Once The royal ant family left and The Circus Bugs bid each other Goodnight and went to bed. Last to go to bed was Rosie, Dim and Maggie.

Rosie helps get Dim and Maggie in bed.

Maggie shyly says!" Thank you miss Rosie!"

Dim Shyly says!" Thank you mom, Dim liked the presents!"

Rosie says!" Oh you're Welcome Dim ! Maggie honeys!" I love you both dearly!" Happy Birthday/Hatchday!"

Sorry had to sent you two by yourselves for the time frame. I hope you were okay."

Maggie shyly says!" No problem Miss Rosie!" Me and Dim ended using the money to get some food we figured no thanks to Pt Flea waking us up at crack of Dawn like that." Anyhow Thank You!"

Rosie says!" Aww That's wonderful You and Dim had a good time together honeys!"

Dim Shyly chuckled characteristically as if agreeing that Dim had a good time.

Moments later. Rosie tucked Dim and Maggie in bed. Rosie lulled them to sleep and turned on a cool new nightlight so Dim can sleep .

Dim and Maggie fell fast asleep and closed their eyes and gently nudging while cuddling each other while purring like lions.

Rosie smiles and kissed both of Dim and Maggie on the smooth freckled horns with passion and love.

Rosie stood up went up into her hammock and she falls fast asleep.

I absolutely loved and enjoyed this new a Bugs life one shot fanfic i wrote I pretty much based Dim and Maggie's anatomy and love crush for each other like the lion characters Simba and Nala from the Lion King( since I based Dim and Maggie's purring sound references to be animal like More closely behaving and act like lions. My favorite part was when Rosie puts together the last minute birthday party for Maggie and Dim. I totally adore Dim and Maggie. Dim and Maggie are now 17.

Maggie is definitely now my female Character OC, she is the perfect mate for Dim, don't worry there will be more fanfics with Rosie and Dim and now with newest member of the Circus troupe Maggie, who will definitely be getting some spotlight in the A Bugs Life Universe. I hope she makes it in A Bugs Life 2 or even for A Bugs Life Mini Series for Disney Plus, She would make a great contender as a new character. Anyways Hope you liked it .
