Two weeks later, 235th Papa Company is heading to Mountain Glenn. Lieutenant Colonel Johann Bauer mentions that this mission is a joint-Army-Marine task as the United Nations wants to make the abandoned city a full time UN Military Base.
He said that the number of troops being sent is 130,000. This includes the 235th Papa Company itself, tank Battalions and aircraft. Anthony and his team looked at each other and nodded their heads with determination, courage, and the spirit to fight.
As the 235th Papa Company and other military forces arrived at Mountain Glenn, they immediately began their mission of clearing out the Grimm from the abandoned city. The Marines and Soldiers could hear the distant growling of Grimm and could see the faint glow of their eyes in the darkness. The troops moved swiftly and efficiently through the streets and buildings, utilizing their training and equipment to take out any Grimm they encountered. The tank battalions provided support by blasting any large groups of Grimm, while aircraft kept an eye on the skies for any flying Grimm.
Anthony and his team, along with their fellow Marines, moved carefully and tactically through the city, clearing buildings and streets as they went. As they made their way through the city, they encountered several packs of Grimm.
The Marines quickly engaged them with precision and skill, using their weapons and training to take them down.
They encountered distinct types of Grimm, from Beowolves to Creeps to Death Stalkers, but they were prepared for anything. Anthony and David used their shotguns to profound effect, taking out any Grimm that got too close, while Shino used her rifle and bayonet to dispatch any at a distance. Shino's hand-to-hand combat skills proved to be effective in close-quarters combat. While Mari's medical knowledge allowed her to quickly treat any wounded Marines and Soldiers, while Igor laid down suppressive fire with his LMG.
As they worked their way deeper into the city, the Grimm began to get more numerous and more dangerous. But the Marines and Soldiers pressed on, their spirits undaunted by the task at hand. After several hours of intense fighting, the 235th Papa Company had cleared out a sizable portion of the city. The tank battalions and aircraft were able to move in and secure the area. The Marines were exhausted but proud of their accomplishment.
They knew that they had made a significant contribution to the establishment of a new UN Military Base. With the tank battalions and aircraft providing support, they were able to eliminate any and all Grimm they encountered, until finally the city was clear.
As they gathered together to rest and regroup, Anthony looked at his team and said, "We did it. We fought with everything we had, and we won. This is what it means to be a Marine." The rest of the team nodded in agreement, knowing that they had given their all to protect the people and uphold their duty as Marines. They were proud of what they had accomplished, but they knew that there would always be more work to be done, more threats to face. But they were ready for whatever came their way, knowing that they had each other and their training to rely on.
Unbeknownst to them, Ozpin watched everything from his office of what the UN did. "Hmmm. Interesting." He said as he took a sip from his mug.
A week later, we see Anthony, David, Shino, Mari, and other Marines are cheering for Igor who is arm wrestling a French Soldier as soldiers were cheering for him.
A second later, Igor won as his fellow Marines cheered for his victory. It is noted that all troops carry a weapon on them at all times just in case.
After that, the marines in the 235th Papa Company were called to a briefing. Their mission was like the one in Menagerie. A Hearts and Minds one. Except, it was for them to make contact at Beacon Academy.
Immediately, most of the marines were thrilled to do this mission as some wanted to see their favorite characters. Lieutenant Colonel Johann Bauer also said that 4 Marine tank Platoons will be now joining and will also take the mission.
Anthony and Shino nudged David's shoulders and Mari saying, "Looks like you'll be able to befriend Jaune after all."
David laughed at her comment and replied, "Well, I hope so. I heard he's a pretty cool guy." The thought of meeting the characters from the show they all watched and admired excited them all. They were all looking forward to establishing friendly relations with the people of Remnant.
The next two days later, we saw the 235th Papa Company convoy coming up the courtyard of Beacon Academy. Students and staff that saw them had a mixture of reactions seeing them.
Luckily one of tanks in the convoy stopped and the Commander of the tank came out of the hatch and shouted to the students and staff "We are friendly! No shoot! We come in peace!" The Ukrainian tank Commander said in his best English.
This action calmed down the students and staff knowing that the people here are not a threat.
The Marines in the convoy then stepped out of their vehicles and approached the students and staff with friendly greetings. Anthony, David, Shino, Mari, and Igor were among them, smiling and waving at the students.
They were met with curious gazes, and some of the students even approached them to ask questions.
Anthony and Shino took turns answering the questions and explaining their mission, while David and Mari were more focused on making connections with the students.
Igor, on the other hand, was trying to show off some of his martial arts moves to some of the students.
As they walked through the campus, they could feel the tension slowly dissipating. The Marines were not here to intimidate or harm anyone, but to build relationships and show that they were allies.
They even got a chance to meet some of the professors, who expressed their gratitude for the Marines' efforts in fighting off the Grimm.
Overall, the mission was a success, as the Marines were able to establish friendly contact with the staff and students of Beacon Academy. It was a small step towards building a stronger relationship between the military and the people of Remnant.
It was then that Anthony and his team met Teams RWBY and JNPR.
Anthony and his team walked up to Teams RWBY and JNPR, who were gathered in the courtyard. The Marines introduced themselves, and the teams reciprocated.
Anthony and his team were impressed with the students' combat abilities, and the students were equally impressed with the Marines' discipline and training.
After some conversation, the Marines and students decided to work together on a training exercise. The exercise involved defending a hypothetical target from a simulated Grimm attack.
The students were able to learn from the Marines' tactics and strategy, and the Marines were able to see how the students applied their unique abilities in combat.
Overall, the training exercise was a success, and both the Marines and students gained valuable experience and knowledge.
After the exercise, Ruby walked up to Anthony and asked him a question, "What did you think of the exercise?" Ruby asked Anthony.
Anthony responded kindly while rubbing Ruby's head saying that they did an excellent job.
Weiss then came up to him and asked a question that Anthony and many Marines dislike. "Are guys soldiers?" Weiss asked and Anthony and other Marines who overheard answered "NO." Which made the four teens jump back a bit due to the blunt answer.
Anthony explained that they are Marines not soldiers. He explained the difference between a soldier and a marine. To many that overheard the explanation they were amazed hearing that the Marines are an elite group of troops.
Another marine even explained to them that they even fought and killed all the Grimm in Menagerie to which Blake was shocked, surprised, and happy. Many others were shocked too as clearing out that many Grimm could have taken years, but these Marines did it in a week.
Weiss apologized for the misunderstanding and thanked Anthony for the explanation. Ruby then asked if they could see some of the Marine's equipment and weapons. Anthony smiled and said they could not, and they needed permission from their superiors first.
He suggested they talk to Lieutenant Colonel Bauer, who oversaw the mission. The four teens thanked Anthony and his team before leaving to find the Lieutenant Colonel.
As they walked away, Anthony turned to his team and said, "Those guys have spirit. They remind me of us when we were their age." The others chuckled in agreement before they went to report back to their commanding officer.
Meanwhile, Bauer is talking to both Ozpin and Glynda about establishing a firebase at Beacon Academy.
Bauer explained that with the growing threat of Grimm and other hostile forces, it would be prudent to have a permanent military presence at Beacon Academy. He suggested building a firebase to house troops and equipment, as well as serve as a base for any future operations in the area.
Ozpin and Glynda listened carefully to Bauer's proposal, considering the potential benefits and drawbacks of such a move. After a few moments of contemplation, Ozpin spoke up.
"Your proposal has merit, Colonel Bauer. However, we must consider the impact of a military presence on our students and the academy as a whole. We will need to discuss this further and come to a decision that is in the best interest of everyone involved."
Glynda nodded in agreement, adding, "We must also ensure that the military personnel stationed here understand and respect the rules and regulations of Beacon Academy. We cannot allow any conflicts or misunderstandings to arise."
Bauer nodded in understanding, and the three of them continued to discuss the proposal in more detail, weighing the potential risks and benefits of establishing a military firebase at Beacon Academy.
The next day, we see Anthony, David, and Mari with Teams RWBY and JNPR in Glynda's combat class. The three were given a chance to watch how both the class works and how the students fight.
Since the three are NCOs, they are only armed with a pistol. After a fight it was Yang's turn, but instead of challenging a student. Yang challenged Anthony to which surprised both him, David, Mari, Glynda, and the rest of the class.
However, before Glynda could say anything, Anthony agreed under one condition. No weapons. Yang agreed the condition and handed her weapon to Ruby while Anthony handed his M17 pistol and ammo to David as both combatants entered the area.
Mari was worried for Anthony's safety, until David whispers to her "Yang doesn't know that Towson is a 1st degree black belt in the United States Marine Corps Martial Arts. In other words, Yang is in trouble." Now Mari is worried for Yang.
The two made it to the area and got in a fighting stance. The second they were ready Glynda began the match.
The two combatants circled each other for a few seconds, assessing their opponent's moves. Yang made the first move, launching herself at Anthony with a swift punch.
Anthony, however, was quick to react and dodged her attack, countering with a swift kick that landed on Yang's side. The blow wasn't enough to take her down, but it did knock her back a few feet.
Yang recovered quickly and charged at Anthony again, throwing a series of punches and kicks that he expertly blocked or dodged. Anthony waited for an opening, and when Yang overextended herself, he grabbed her arm and threw her over his shoulder, slamming her to the ground.
The students watching the match gasped at the display of skill from the Marine, and Yang looked impressed despite being taken down. She got back up and dusted herself off, grinning at Anthony.
"That was amazing!" Yang exclaimed. "You're really good!"
Anthony smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Yang. You're not too shabby yourself."
The rest of the class clapped and cheered for both combatants, impressed with the display of skill and sportsmanship.
Teams RWBY and JNPR also made a mental note to never try and fight Anthony alone, as when they left Yang went to the nurse and said some of her ribs broke from the two blows. Jaune also noted that Anthony didn't have aura but was still able to drop Yang easily with two hits.
As Yang left to see the nurse, Anthony, David, and Mari spoke with Glynda and complimented the students' fighting abilities. Glynda thanked them for their kind words and expressed her admiration for the Marines' combat skills as well.
After the class, Anthony and his team spent the rest of the day exploring the academy with Teams RWB and JNPR, getting to know them better and sharing stories about their experiences. They also got to witness the power of the students' semblances, which impressed and surprised them.
As the day ended, Anthony and his team bid farewell to the students, promising to stay connected and return if needed. They left Beacon Academy with a newfound respect for the students and their abilities, and with the hope that their presence would continue to strengthen the bond between the Marines and the people of Remnant.
The next day, news broadcast, channels, social media outlets and many others were now talking about the new Continents and people across the Earth are reacting.
As news of the new continents and their inhabitants spread across the globe, people reacted in a variety of ways. Some were excited about the possibility of exploring new territories, while others were concerned about the potential conflicts that could arise between diverse groups of people.
Environmentalists raised concerns about the impact that the sudden appearance of new land masses could have on the planet's ecosystems, and some religious leaders saw the event as a sign of divine intervention.
Governments around the world were still grappling with how to respond to the news, with some scrambling to send expeditions to the other new continents and others taking a more cautious approach. Overall, the discovery of the new continents had sparked a great deal of interest and debate among people from all levels of society.
Luckily, thanks to the 235th Papa Company. The news about their mission on Menagerie not only eased a lot of peoples' concerns but made them happy knowing that governments were slowly getting started.
And when news about the successful mission in Mountain Glenn and the plans to establish a base.
The public are willing to support the idea. The UN even said that the base will also act like a checkpoint for anyone wanting to visit the Kingdom of Vale or Menagerie. Vale is located near the West Coast of the United States
The UN's decision to establish a UN base at Mountain Glenn and a Firebase at Beacon Academy also garnered positive reactions from the governments of both the countries and the other kingdoms.
They saw it as a sign of cooperation and unity, which was much needed in a world filled with chaos and uncertainty. Some countries even offered to send troops and supplies to help in the establishment of the base.
As the news spread, more people became interested in the idea of visiting the Kingdom of Vale and Menagerie. Tour agencies began to advertise tours to the kingdom and island, which would include a stop at the new UN base. The tourism industry in the kingdoms was expected to boom with the new checkpoint in place.
Meanwhile, the students at Beacon Academy were excited about the prospect of having the Firebase nearby. It meant more opportunities for them to interact with people from various parts of the world and learn about their cultures. It also meant more resources for their training, as the UN Marines were highly skilled and experienced.
Overall, the establishment of the UN base at Mountain Glenn and a Firebase at Beacon Academy was seen as a positive step towards a brighter future for Remnant.
About two and a half weeks later, we see a news broadcast on the flat screen TV in Mountain Glenn UN base cafeteria as troops watch their world leaders meeting both Huntsmen Academies Headmasters and council members of different kingdoms.
As they watched, some wondered if they would be deployed to other Kingdoms and such. After 45 minutes, it was declared that the Kingdoms were now able to travel to different countries to either visit or immigrate. And the same for UN countries. The troops clapped and cheered for the good news.
As the broadcast continued, it was also announced that the UN was sending more resources and aid to the Kingdoms, especially to those that were affected by the recent Grimm attacks. The Huntsmen Academies were also given more funding and support to train the next generation of warriors who would defend their Kingdoms against the Grimm.
The troops in the cafeteria were relieved to hear the news, knowing that they were making a difference and helping to improve the lives of the people in the Kingdoms. Some even talked about their future plans to visit and explore the different Kingdoms once things have settled down.
As the broadcast ended, Lieutenant Colonel Bauer stood up and addressed his Marines. "Remember, we are here to help and protect the people. Let's continue to work hard and make a difference." The Marines nodded in agreement and went back to their duties, ready to continue their mission.
About a month later, we see that the Mt. Glenn UN Base has been completed and the Base is called Glenn Base.
It is noted that many demolitions experts and engineers went to the Mountain where the Grimm Wyvern is sleeping. And with enough explosives and bombs.
They managed to detonate them, causing a massive avalanche of rocks and debris to bury the creature deep within the mountain, permanently sealing it away.
The news of this success quickly spread across the world, and people felt a sense of relief that the threat of the Grimm Wyvern was finally gone.
The Glenn Base was also equipped with state-of-the-art technology and defense systems to ensure the safety of those stationed there. The Marines, Soldiers, Airmen, along with Huntsmen and Huntresses, continued to patrol the surrounding areas to make sure no Grimm or other threats entered the area.
The base also functioned as a hub for international cooperation and research on Grimm and other matters related to the protection of humanity.
A few days later, the firebase at Beacon is built housing the 235th Papa Company as their homebase.
They even received helicopters in their Company which are two Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallions, two Bell AH-1 SuperCobras and two Mil Mi-24 Hind helicopters.
With the addition of the helicopters, the 235th Papa Company now has more mobility and can respond to emergencies and threats more effectively.
The Super Stallions can transport troops and heavy equipment, while the SuperCobras provide close air support and the Hind helicopters are versatile attack helicopters.
The Marines are now able to conduct air patrols over Beacon Academy and the surrounding area, increasing the security of the region. The arrival of the helicopters also brought excitement to the students of Beacon Academy, who were able to see them in action during training exercises.
