After countless days of battling Dr. Eggman, Sonic and his friends have finally put a halt to the evil doctor's plans for world domination. It seemed like Robotnik had given up and faded into obscurity. Sonic, embracing the victory, decided to return to his normal life and enrolled as a student in Emerald Town's Public School. For an entire year, he enjoyed a peaceful existence.
As time passed, uncertainty hung in the air, leaving Sonic unsure of what lay ahead in his life. Would he encounter new foes or make new friends? Perhaps there would be fresh challenges that would test his skills and determination. Sonic's future remained a mystery, and the next chapter of his journey promised to be full of excitement and surprises.
It was a normal day, the sun shone brightly, and the birds sang. Suddenly, someone stepped on the grass and started running. The figure ran at high speed, surprising the animals. It was then revealed to be a familiar blue hedgehog. He stopped and gazed at the sky.
"Nothing beats it! The morning warm-up was awesome!" he exclaimed with excitement.
He took a few steps before admiring the view of the town he lived in. "Phew...! That was some morning exercise. It's time to meet Tails!"
He raced off from the grassy fields and ran through the forest until he arrived at the town.
Sonic walked through the streets and spotted a yellow fox, a person who was important to him. "Sup, Tails!" Sonic waved at him.
"Oh, morning Sonic," Tails replied.
"So, are you feeling well?" Sonic tapped his foot while looking at his wrist.
"Absolutely fine!" Tails responded.
"Heh! That's good to hear! So, what's up with your inventions? Did you come up with any new ideas?" Sonic asked.
"Well, I actually do have plans for new inventions, but they're only in the blueprint stage," Tails said, moving his hand to his right muzzle.
"Awesome! Can I come to your laboratory?" Sonic asked confidently.
"Of course! Let's go together then!" Tails replied, with a happy expression.
Sonic and Tails followed each other and headed to the east side of the town. But before they could reach their destination, they ran into a pink hedgehog.
"Hey, guys!" she greeted them happily.
"Glad to see you, Amy! It's been a while!" Tails waved to her.
"Oh, hi there, Sonic!" Amy looked at Sonic.
"Sup, Amy!" Sonic greeted her.
"Did you really miss me, Sonic?" Amy fixed her gaze on Sonic.
"Hahaha... of course, I did!" Sonic gave her a thumbs up.
"I'm glad to hear that, then!" Amy said cheerfully.
"So, Amy, will you join me and Tails to see his awesome new projects?" Sonic gave a small glare at the laboratory as he spoke.
"I'm sorry, Sonic, but not today. I would be glad to join you two, but I'm busy. You know how it is," Amy explained her busy schedule.
"Ah, I see! Well, I'm sure you'll have free time next time!" Sonic replied.
"Then see you later, guys!" Amy waved at them as she walked away.
"See ya!" Sonic and Tails said in unison.
"Well, I'm pretty sure the most fun part is yet to come, right, Tails?" Sonic gave an excited smile as he stared at Tails' laboratory.
"Yeah!" Tails replied with equal excitement.
Together, they entered the lab. Tails did a little jog and laid out all the newest blueprints on the table for Sonic to see.
Sonic glanced at the blueprints. "They look fantastic! I really like the one on the left!" Sonic showed great interest in Tails' newest projects.
"Oh, that one? It's going to be an upgraded version of the arm cannon. I'm still thinking of the awesome new features I can add to it," Tails explained, pointing at the blueprint.
"Hah, that's awesome! So, what do you say we have some fun around here? Tails?" Sonic looked around eagerly.
"Yeah! Let's have fun, but promise me you won't break anything!" Tails said, a hint of worry in his tone.
A few hours passed, and now it was sunset Sonic said goodbye to his friend, and decide to do one last run, before going back home.
It then cut to the left side of the town, it was a park. It was an innocent Orange hedgehog, with a mustard-yellow jacket and blue shoes.
He walked around before he looked at the sun.
''This day was fast, I didn't do anything! besides, helping my family of course...''
He later looked at the suspicious-looking men, they were dressed in black and gray clothing.
The Orange hedgehog looked at them from a far distance.
Those men started putting an old man to his knees. ''Listen, Old man! make sure you've paid more money since this is a deal!'' That one thug said it, with a serious tone.
''A-a..ah! I promise! I will pay the money, in the next day!'' The Old man was in true terror, he was totally scared of them
''No more excuses! this Fist will teach you how to be responsible to others!'' The tougher thug punched the innocent old man's cheek as he started lying on the ground
The Orange hedgehog was shocked and upset how those thugs treat innocent people like that He rushed up to the scene, and started defending the old man
''You totally picked on the wrong person.'' He said it, seriously.
The thugs laughed. ''Really?! a hedgehog wants to protect the man who can never pay and do they trust? totally laughable'' the first thug said it.
''Well, I've heard it enough! I know this man can't do he's trust! but.. in the end! this is totally wrong to harass a person for his mistakes!'' Orange hedgehog did a hard foot tap on the floor.
''Don't make me laugh, kids like these make me sick!'' the third thug proceed to make a fist chuckle
The third thug struck the Orange hedgehog with a punch, but as he tried to strike him, the orange hedgehog quickly dodged it and did a dropkick right into the thug's right leg. The thug fell down to the ground and was irritated.
''Argh! this kid! how did he manage to dodge my attack!'' The third thug covered his right leg.
The Orange hedgehog was worried that he can be in trouble, on how he attacked a thug.
''Rest of the group! charge..!'' The first thug yelled, and the rest of the group charged at the orange hedgehog, he had no choice but to defend. The Hedgehog was surrounded by them, he had no choice to win, and was injured.
''How's that! you'll never underestimate us!"' The thugs were proud of themselves how they can be invincible.
But few seconds passed, as they gave a final punch right into the Orange hedgehog's gut, Sonic did a spin kick into them.
The thugs were shocked at how a blue hedgehog arrived out of nowhere. ''What the?! another hedgehog?''
''Pretty sure, that's not good to attack two people like that..!'' Sonic gave a finger wiggle at them.
''You jerk! you'll see how tough we are!'' The second thug pulled out the pipe
As suddenly, even the pipe wasn't enough to do even a slight difference, Sonic quickly dodged the attack and did a fast upper-cut at the second thug.
Sonic quickly rushed at the injured hedgehog ''Are you alright?''
''I'm fine...'' He answered...
The Orange hedgehog stood up ''I.. can still fight.''
''Awesome! we will show those thugs, how you shouldn't harass people!''Sonic was ready to attack the rest of the thugs
The two hedgehogs battled the rest of the thugs, the thugs weren't injured that badly, and they ran away.
''We did...'' The orange one sat on the rock since he was tired after all.
''You did pretty well, but you're lucky that I saw that you were beaten by those heartless men,'' Sonic said it
''Well, pretty sure thanks.'' he thanked Sonic.
''Oh, right.. the old man!'' Sonic was worried about the old man, so he reached him.
''You're fine?'' he questioned the old man
''Don't worry about it! I only got one fist into my cheek, so that's fine..!'' the old man said it
''But make sure you don't start beating up people like how you did them!'' He was concerned about these two hedgehogs.
''Don't worry! just hope you'll be doing fine..!'' Sonic gave yet another thumb up
Orange hedgehog stood up from the rock. ''Well, guess we saved the day so far.''
''even if it was too quick, sure we will make a person's life happier,'' Sonic said, as he glared at the sunset.
''Oh, and.. can I ask you something?'' The Orange hedgehog was curious about one thing.
''Sure..? you can ask me anything.'' Sonic crossed his arms.
''So, I wonder.. what's your name?'' He said it.
''Well! my name is Sonic the hedgehog of course!'' Sonic gave a lively expression at him
''I'm glad to know you Sonic, and so is my name is Dijon.'' he gave a lively expression too
''That seems so! maybe it would be nicer if we can be friends from now on!'' Sonic proceeded to give a handshake to Dijon
''Deal.'' Dijon said it as he was ready to do the handshake as well
Sonic and Dijon did a handshake, and so did they said goodbye to each other.
