Tsunami Streams jumped out of bed at the sound of her alarm clock. She put on a bright blue halter top, a pair of short denim shorts, and blue hi-tops [image above]. She brushed her blue-dyed brown hair, and just left it down. What would Riptide think of this? she wondered. Tsunami had been trying to get her crush's attention for two years, and to find out whether he liked her or not. Hopefully he'll like it, Tsunami thought.
"Good morning," Tsunami called as she arrived in the dining room of her home. Her mother was a very popular writer, and the CEO of SeaWing Products, therefore her family was quite rich.
"Hello, Tsunami," replied Coral, Tsunami's mother. Things had been a little awkward between the two of them since the beginning of her last school year. Ever since Tsunami's father, Gill, and her older sister, Orca, passed away, Coral had been overly-protective of Tsunami, Anemone (her younger sister), and Auklet (another younger sister of hers). Tsunami was a little jealous of her brother, Turtle, who Coral didn't always fuss over. Coral wanted to pass on the CEO position of SeaWing Products onto one of her daughters after she retired, so she was extremely protective of them. But that had all changed last year, at the annual talent show of Tsunami's school.
-Flashback-
"Next up, we have Tsunami Streams in grade ten, singing "Set Me Free Pt. 2" by Jimin of BTS [I love K-Pop, and u will see a lot of K-Pop in this fanfic, espcially BTS and BLACKPINK]," announced the teacher.
Tsunami took a deep breath. She knew her mother was here, and this song was to send a message to her mother to give her more freedom. She began to sing.
Yeah
I got a good time
Yeah, time to get mine
I wandered into a maze
Hennessy and night
I never stop, I never stop
Again, repe-e-eat
I never stop, fuck all your opps
Finally free-e-e
Ah, yeah, ah, yeah
I'm standing at the edge
Not yet, not yet
I won't look back
Now yeah, now yeah
Fly away, butterfly-y-y
Finally free-e-e-
Look at me now (Me now)
I won't hide anymore, even if it hurts
Going insane to stay sane
Raise your hands for the past me
Now, set me free-e-e
Set me free-e-e, set me free-e-e
Set me free-e-e, set me free-e-e
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
I got feel low
Still in a maze
But I got no time to break soul
Just let me flow
Hey fool, just get out of my way
Shut up, fuck off
I'm on my way
Ah, yeah, ah, yeah
It's begun, my prime time
Forget, forget
I'll gladly hop on
Now yeah, now yeah
Fly away, butterfly-y-y
Finally free
Look at me now
I won't stop, even if they mock me
Going insane to stay sane
Raise your hands for the past me
Now, set me free-e-e (Set me free, set me free)
Set me free-e-e (Set me, free)
Set me free-e-e (Set me free, set me free)
Set me free-e-e (Won't you set me free)
Set me free-e-e (Yeah)
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e (Free, free)
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh) Set me free-e-e
(Won't you set me free)
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh, set me free)
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh, set me free)
(Oh-eh-oh, oh-eh-oh, set me free)
Set me free

Tsunami finished her song. Silence. She bowed to her audience, and was received with thunderous applause. As she walked offstage, she heard snippets of conversation about her performance.
"Wow! Tsunami is so good at singing!"
"I never knew she had such an amazing voice!"
"That song was awesome!"
At last, Tsunami found her mother in the crowd. Her mother looked at her sadly. "That song was sung to me, wasn't it?" Coral asked.
Tsunami nodded slightly. "I'm sorry. I know I should just be grateful for everything you've done to try and protect me, but I just want more freedom."
"No. I'm sorry. I was too protective. I could've almost predicted that one of you were going to express your feelings about my way of raising you."
-End flashback-
Tsunami, living very close to her high school, decided to walk. She sent a quick text message to her friend, Glory.
Tsunami Hey Glory! Do u wanna meet me and the rest of our friends at school?
Glory
Sure! See u there!
Tsunami waited impatiently for her friends at the school entrance. Another school year was about to begin, and she couldn't wait.
