By now it was dark outside, and the streetlights on the roads ahead revealed it to be a very empty road. As they drove, everyone was talking to each other until one question from Katsuki came up. "So anyway, who is this 'All for One guy?". Izuku stiffened, not expecting to have to answer this so soon, "W-Well I'm sure he was lying about that so does it really matter?". "And what if he wasn't, Shouldn't we know about him anyway?". Katsuki quickly said back in a slightly annoyed tone. "Alright but, don't tell anyone but, I had to do a lot of digging for this and apparently it wasn't revealed to the public for some reason." Izuku muttered, earning some surprised reactions from the others. "I'm not even going to question how you managed this at four, but can't even find your own YouTube video." Said a reasonably confused Inko. The three continued to talk, with the basics of it being that they knew nothing about him, except his quirk, and now possibly his face. They saw the familiar entrance to their street welcoming them in, with the trees blowing beautifully in the wind. They noticed that their home was already fixed, and it was like there was no hole there in the first place. 'Maybe someone in the area has a construction quirk, I need to talk to them' Izuku thought before running inside and onto their bed almost immediately falling asleep.
With all thoughts in his head, he was surprised he didn't dream that night. "Hey mom…" He sleepily mumbled, "Hey Izu…" She replied equally sleepily. The two ate their breakfast in relative silence, before Inko suddenly spoke up. "We need to talk about your quirk." Izuku was surprised at this, "I was actually going to talk to you about that, I think I got yours when he left, I felt the same feeling in my chest as when I used Kacchan's one." Izuku replied a little excitedly. "You used Katsuki's quirk! Can you use it now?" Inko replied, he had forgotten to tell her about that. He then proceeded to make sparklers in his hands, to the great excitement of his mother.
Timeskip of 10 Years
"-Well make sure you get ready for school now, you don't want to be late." Izuku then ran off to get changed and brush his teeth. While he was in the bathroom, he decided to practise more using his mom's quirk, managing to pull over his toothbrush and toothpaste at the same time, which was not much considering the years he's had to practise had allowed him to lift heavier and heavier stuff, until one day, he managed to float all of the trash out, to the incredible, unbelievable happiness of his mom that she would never have to do it again. After he was ready, he was quickly led out to the car, and driven to school. His mom had asked him not to tell anyone about his actual quirk, but he compromised and made people think he had a similar quirk to Katsuki. Now he thinks about it, he should really think of a name for his quirk, but someone must be very unimaginative, and can't think of one.
(Day he told about his quirk) He told Katsuki about what his mom said, which he agreed to after hearing the reasoning. The two walked into school, some people looked at Izuku and began talking to some of the people next to them. "Hello class, I'm a substitute teacher for today, so could you all tell me your name and quirk". This resulted in uproar from the class, and Izuku decided to (not very) subtly reveal he had a quirk. "Whoa, Deku got a quirk, and it's just like Bakugou's!". This caught the teacher's attention, "Oh, when did this happen Izuku!" The teacher said as he instantly changed his view on him. "Just yesterday" Izuku said happily, "Maybe it has something to do with what happened with his dad" Someone rudely spoke up, freezing the class for a little, before the teacher continued the class like nothing ever happened. Izuku was the talk of the class that day, and was enjoying not being estranged for his quirklessness.
(Present) "Hey Deku!". He heard Katsuki calling him, though everyone else had stopped calling him that after he got his quirk, Katsuki still did just to mess with his friend. "Hey Deku! The entrance exams for UA are this year, that one year closer to us getting in!". He did this every January, but this time he had more of a reason to be excited, because the exams were in 10 months. Since he got his quirk, he's been picking up more in case he needs them, he even managed to get some from pro-heroes, such as Ragdoll's quirk, Search, almost making him immune to criminals who may try to mug him or something. He found out one thing though, he needs to know the name of the person and quirk to use it, and he needs them to be in his line of sight. This is why he hasn't even bothered with All Might's, because no-one knows what his quirk actually is, and he's never gotten a good look at him in person. As he and Katsuki walked towards the school, suddenly there was a noise from inside one of the sewer entrances, and a man made entirely of some slime-like substance quickly rose out of it and began to run towards the two.
Before it could attack them, Izuku jumped over and put his hand on the man, resulting in him being frozen in place. "What the hell! I can't move, what'd you do!" The man said, clearly having given up on trying to move. "What do you want, and why did you charge at us." Katsuki aggressively shouted at the man. "I-I don't know what you mean, I was j-just, um…" The man was suddenly a lot less confident than before, probably because he realised he was totally screwed. Then from out of the drain, came someone they didn't expect to see at all, All Might. "Don't worry, for I am here!" After he finished his dramatic entrance, he realised that the two were clearly not worried, and had already caught his target. "Oh! It seems the two of you have successfully immobilised him already, congratulations! What are your names!" His voice was so loud, and echoing off the walls of the tunnel they were in, it was hurting their ears, but they were too starstruck to notice.
"Name's Katsuki Bakugou, and this is Izuku Midoriya." Katsuki said, barely holding back his excitement, Izuku however, did not manage to do so. "Oh my god, All Might! Can I get your autograph! I have a pen here, and a notebook…". Izuku began muttering incomprehensibly as he pulled a notebook out of seemingly nowhere. "Whoa there kid, slow down, but sure, let me see it. So it's on page 5 you said." As he went through the pages, something caught his interest. His entry was 5 pages long. "Whoa, five whole pages, impressive, you got some sort of quirk that lets you do this stuff?". Izuku had in fact not found any quirks but Search that could help with note taking, but he couldn't tell him that, everyone thought he had the same quirk as Katsuki. "No sir. My quirk is Explosion, and so is his." He replied with little difficulty, since he had been going along with this for years now. "Oh, are the two of you brothers?" All Might said, but to his surprise, "No, we just happened to get the same quirk." Izuku said to All Might. "Wow, the chances of that are little to none, but on another note, these are incredibly detailed, to do this without a quirk is impressive, now I have a question before I leave. Do you have any of these notebooks on villains that have not yet been captured, because they could greatly help up with capturing them.". Izuku froze at this, 'All Might, wants MY help? Am I dreaming?' "I- um- yes I do, should I go get them sometime later?" Izuku was sweating now, because of the surprise of this situation. "That would be greatly appreciated, let us meet at Takopa Beach Park tomorrow at noon. Now, good luck on your studies at school, I'd best be off now, Goodbye!". Right after he said that he shot off into the skies, leaving the two boys shocked at how he was in person. 'Wait, studies… "SCHOOL!" They both screamed simultaneously, before sprinting off, with unnoticeable use of explosions for slight extra speed.
"Midoriya, Bakugou, why are you 20 minutes late to class?" The teacher began to scold the two on the importance of school, and just waited till he finished to tell him the answer. "We were attacked by a villain, and me and Izuku got thanked by All Might for stopping said villain." Katsuki stated bluntly, completely changing the reaction from the teacher. Many impressed noises sounded out throughout the class, before the teacher allowed them in saying that it was fine if it wasn't their fault. After class was finished, Izuku decided to stay at school a little longer so he could go over a few things, and this request was granted. After he finished that, he finally decided to go home, but something caught his eye. There was a huge explosion near a hotel, and a lot of screams. Izuku ran over there as fast as he could without obviously using a quirk, and saw that there was a kid about his age being attacked by a villain. The villain was shooting light out of his hands, and the kid was running and dodging incredibly quickly, using some sort of speed quirk. The villain was getting increasingly frustrated at not being able to hit him so he began to fly with his beams towards him. (First person POV from now on) Before I knew what was happening, I shot past the crowd with an explosion, catching the attention of the villain, and I hit him with a punch that I used an explosion on for momentum. The moment I hit him, he was launched into the building on the other side of the street, making a crater in the wall. He clearly had a broken leg, but I made sure not to hit so hard I permanently damaged him. Since I used an explosion to throw the punch, the pressure was too much, and I ended up breaking my arm. The crowd cheered, but then I was taken away to a first aid station, then a police station since I technically acted as a vigilante there, but since I wasn't very old, and it seemed to be a heat of the moment thing, I was let off.
After I got out, I saw a familiar face, it was the guy I helped from that villain. 'Now I'm looking at him, I've noticed that he had very large calves through his dress trousers, maybe it's his quirk.' "Hello! My name is Tenya Iida. I am here to thank you for assisting me during the attack earlier today. I would like it if we could exchange phone numbers so I may treat you to a meal as a sign of gratitude!". 'Woah, this dude speaks really formally', "You really don't need to, also, are you related to pro-hero Ingenium by any chance?" I replied curiously, "Ah, I see you have recognised my family name, yes, but I would appreciate it if you would not tell people, as they often treat me differently when they learn of my relatives, and about the meal, I insist. My quirk is Engine, I am able to go at high speeds. What is yours?" Tenya said, going through a multitude of emotions as he spoke. "Ah, ok, mine is Explosion as you may have seen already, and if you're sure, here's my number.". As he scribbled it down on a sheet of paper he silently hoped he hadn't noticed his use of a slight protection quirk, to stop his arm from being blown clean off. "Is that the truth? I saw your arm light up slightly yellow as you threw the punch, I do not appreciate those who lie for personal gain." 'Damn it' "I think you probably just imagined it in the heat of the moment, that is my quirk." I said trying to get off the topic quickly. "That would make sense, now goodbye, and have a good day." He closed the door, but it immediately reopened. "Oh, I almost forgot to ask what your name was." His formal tone slipped slightly into a more casual one. "Oh, it's Izuku Midoriya.".
Now I was outside my house door, I got ready for a scolding from my mom, and bracing myself, I opened it. "IZU!". And before I knew it, I was scolded for half an hour about being more responsible.
