I don't own Gargoyles.

Prologue

Fire burning the lands.

People screaming for mercy.

Swords drew into battle.

Camelot has fallen as Morgana Le Fey sent in her army to claim the crown now that King Arthur was wounded in battle.

Merlin saw what was happening up in his tower as he was preparing for King Arthur to travel to Avalon.

"All my work and hopes for a peaceful kingdom have been thwarted and challenged by a wicked being of his half-sister."

The knights of the round table are out there holding their invaders off. He gets ready his grimoire book and places it in his traveling bag.

He summons the fairies to come to their aid. All wind fairies called Ariels came to the rescue. Small and bird-like creatures. They look innocent but are quite mischievous. They assist with the power of wind, an element best for purification and guiding.

"Get ready to take the king to Avalon."

He then orders his fellow fairies to come forth. As Merlin chanted his magic mirror to contact his father.

Oberon the King of Fairies appeared in the reflection of the mirror.

"Merlin, is it done?"

"Aye, take my pupil King Arthur to Avalon and protect him there as promised." He added sternly. "Father Oberon."

"Then we welcome King Arthur to Avalon where he will recover and someday return to his kingdom."

That was the end of their talks as Oberon's mirror reflection disappears and Merlin's face is there. Merlin took hold of his staff and summoned his last bit of magic to withhold all that was promised for King Arthur's return.

"Hear me, Gods of the Old Ways, I, Merlin the Wizard and mentor to our beloved King Arthur of Camelot that I shall return from this world, and my blood will never die out. I will forever pass down my wisdom, memories, and powers. Along with this book may forever be in the hands of the descendants of Merlin!"

He bangs down his staff like thunder as the earthquake had shaken the earth to cut off Morgana's army.

BANG!

Camelot will never be claimed. Not as long as it is King Arthur Pendragon.
