Shinji's body convulsed with pain as he felt all the evils of the world coursing through his veins. The agony was beyond anything he had ever experienced before, and he wondered if he would ever be able to endure it. The weight of the suffering was unbearable, crushing him under its unrelenting force.
Every fiber of his being screamed out in agony, as the pain seemed to grow and expand, consuming him entirely. It was as if he had been plunged into a bottomless pit of despair, with no hope of ever escaping. His mind reeled from the onslaught, and he could feel his grip on reality slipping away.
As the weight of all the evils of the world bore down on him, Shinji felt as though he was both the victim and the perpetrator. He could see himself inflicting pain on others, even as he himself was writhing in agony.
The images flashed through his mind like a nightmare, and he felt his stomach turn with disgust. He saw himself lashing out at others with words and fists, causing harm and destruction wherever he went. But at the same time, he could also see himself as the one being hurt, the one who was suffering at the hands of others.
The duality of the experience was overwhelming, and he felt as though he was being torn apart from the inside. He tried to make sense of it all, but the pain and confusion were too great.
For a moment, he felt as though he was losing his grip on reality. The lines between victim and perpetrator blurred, and he could no longer tell where he ended and others began. He was trapped in a cycle of pain and suffering, unable to break free.
...
As Shinji slowly regained consciousness, he felt a heavy weight pressing down on him. His head throbbed with pain, and his body ached all over. He tried to move his arms, but found that they were tied tightly to someone else's. Panic began to set in as he struggled to free himself, but it was no use.
He opened his eyes to see that his hands were tied by a rope. Looking around shinji noticed that there other people around him were also tied up.
The air was thick with the smell of sweat and fear, and the cramped quarters were barely large enough to hold all of the captives.
The wooden planks of the ship's hull creaked and groaned as the ship sailed across the ocean, and the constant rocking and swaying made it difficult to keep one's balance. The only light came from a small opening in the ceiling, which allowed a sliver of sunlight to filter down into the under deck.
Shinji looked around at his fellow captives, who were huddled together in small groups. They were all malnourished and dressed in tattered clothing, their eyes sunken and hollow with despair.
The space was suffocating, and the air was thick with the stench of sweat and excrement. The only sound was the soft murmur of hushed voices as the captives whispered to one another in hushed tones.
Shinji felt a heavy weight settle in his chest as he realized the gravity of his situation. He was a slave, on a ship filled with other slaves, being transported to an unknown destination. The thought was suffocating, and he could feel himself sinking deeper into despair.
He had never felt so alone and powerless in his life. The weight of the world's evils that he had felt before was nothing compared to the hopelessness that he now felt. There was no escape, no hope for freedom. He was trapped, bound to this fate by the ropes that held him captive.
What was the point of even trying? Why bother fighting when the outcome was already predetermined? These thoughts swirled through his mind like a dark cloud, casting a shadow over any shred of hope he might have held onto.
He couldn't even muster the energy to speak, let alone try to escape. His body was weak from hunger and dehydration, and the emotional toll was even greater. He wanted to give up, to let go of everything and fade away into the darkness that seemed to surround him.
...
Shinji sat in the corner of the under deck, lost in his own thoughts. He was barely aware of the world around him, and didn't even notice when one of his fellow captives approached him.
"Hey, are you okay?" the man asked, his voice filled with concern.
Shinji didn't respond, his eyes fixed on a point on the wall in front of him. He felt a sense of bitterness and hopelessness that had taken hold of him since he had woken up on the ship. He had lost everything that had once mattered to him, and he saw no reason to hope for anything better.
"So my name's Edessak. What's your name?" The man said.
The man who approached Shinji had black hair and slender blue eyes, which seemed to glint in the dim light of the under deck. He was dressed in clothing that seemed to be of a much higher quality than the rags the other captives were wearing. The fabric was rich and lustrous, and it shimmered in the dim light.
He wore a long, flowing coat made of a deep, navy blue velvet. The coat was lined with fine silk and adorned with gold buttons that sparkled in the dim light. Beneath the coat, he wore a crisp white shirt with a high collar, which was fastened with a gold tiepin. His trousers were made of a matching navy blue fabric and were neatly pressed, falling in perfect creases down his slender legs.
Edessak continued "You know a hole isn't going to appear on the wall of you stare at it with such intensity." With barely a smile on his face that he was having trouble keeping. It was evident that the man was extremely nervous.
Shinji tried to ignore the man, focusing instead on the wall he was looking at. But the man was persistent, and soon his voice grew louder and more insistent.
"You know o have a plan to escape this vessel that should allow us to overpower the crew and take control of the ship." Edessak said his voice barely above a whisper.
Shinji barely registered his words. "I don't care," I muttered, his gaze fixed on the floor. "What's the point? We'll just find more evil out there."
"But," Edessak insisted, "we can't give up hope. We have to keep fighting."
He shook my head, not wanting to listen. But Edessak was persistent, and he continued to outline his plan in detail. As he spoke, shinji found himself growing increasingly annoyed. Didn't he understand that I just wanted to be left alone?
Finally, he snapped. "Edessak, I said I don't care!" He shouted, his voice echoing down the empty corridor. "Leave me alone and focus on your stupid plan."
"Sorry I didn't mean to upset you." Edessak said as he left and tried to talk to other slaves.
Feeling tired by events that he had been a part of shinji closed his eyes and dozed off.
