Sasuke held the phone to his ear and waited for Naruto to answer he had news to share with him and he couldn't wait, but he was starting to get impatient why hadn't the Dobe answered the phone had already rung like four times already…just as Sasuke was about to hang up Naruto finally answered
"Hey Teme!" Naruto said excitedly over the phone
"Hey…what took you so long to answer I was getting ready to hang up" Sasuke said
"I was in the bathroom and I didn't hear my phone" Naruto said
"Oh…well um can we meet up? I need to talk to you about somethings" Sasuke said as he looked down at the pictures of his baby
"Yeah I was going to get some ramen, want to meet there? I have some stuff I need to talk to you about too" Naruto said
"Ok I'm heading that way now..see you in a few minutes" Sasuke said as he hung the phone up he made his way to the ramen shop as he walked in he looked around for the blonde but didn't see him
"Guess I must have beaten him here" Sasuke said to himself, he sat down in a booth and waited for Naruto to get there about five minutes later in walked Naruto. Sasuke called out to him and soon the blonde joined him, he sat across from the raven with a big smile on his face. Sasuke just hoped that smile was still there after he told him the news.
"So what's up?" Naruto asked
"I uh I-I wanted to talk to you about some stuff….but why don't you go first you said on the phone you had something you wanted to tell me" Sasuke said as he tried to think of a way to tell the blonde that he's pregnant…probably should've thought about that before he called him
"Yeah um..we're friends right?" Naruto said with a trace of nervousness laced in his voice
"Well of course we are…why wouldn't we be?" Sasuke asked
"I just wanted to make sure that we're on the same page…you know after the breakup and all," Naruto said as he looked at Sasuke. The blonde had loved the raven but he was so paranoid about Naruto being around any other guy now granted when it came to Lee he had a good reason, Lee had liked Naruto for a long time and made it very apparent anytime he got the chance to…Sasuke would always think that Naruto was cheating on him with Lee, but that never happened Naruto tried telling the raven over and over again that nothing was going on between them but Sasuke never fully believed him….so after awhile the couple decided to split they had agreed to be friends but it didn't feel the same as before. Naruto felt like Sasuke was guarded around him and honestly he just wanted his best friend back and he wanted to move on. It'd been three months since the breakup.
"Yeah Dobe we're on the same page…but I" Sasuke started but was cut off when Naruto started talking again
"Good I didn't want things to be awkward…I wanted to be the first to tell you" Naruto said missing the look of mild panic on Sasuke's face
"Tell me what?" Sasuke asked
"I have a boyfriend….I'm dating Lee" Naruto said not knowing that he had just crushed the man sitting in front of him
"O-Oh you are? When did this happen?" Sasuke asked as he tried to fight the tears that threatened to fall down his face, there went his daydream of him and Naruto raising a family together
"Um we went on a few dates and started dating last week" Naruto said as he eyed the Uchiha he was waiting for him to explode and start accusing him of cheating again but that never came Sasuke just sat there with a blank look on his face and it was starting to worry Naruto a little bit
"Sasuke are you ok? Your looking a little pale" Naruto said
"I'm always pale, remember?" Sasuke said as he tried to joke with the blonde as his stomach turned
"Yeah but not this pale…do you need some water or something?" asked the blonde
"No I…I'll be right back" Sasuke said as he shot up and ran to the bathroom he was going to be sick, just thinking about Naruto being with that walking eyebrow made him sick to his stomach. After a few minutes Sasuke had emptied the whole contents of his stomach..he washed his hands and face and rinsed his mouth out and made his way back out to where Naruto was, once he was back at the eating area Sasuke noticed Naruto holding something in his hands that's when it hit him…he had the sonogram pictures in his lap…he hadn't moved them before he got up to go to the bathroom….Naruto found them…he knew Sasuke was pregnant. Sasuke stood frozen not knowing what to do he tried to read Naruto's expression but he looked up and saw Sasuke standing there, the raven took a deep breath and walked to the booth and sat down
"You're pregnant?!" Naruto asked
"Yeah…three months" Sasuke said avoiding Naruto's gaze
"How long have you known about this?" Naruto asked
"About three hours…I just left the hospital after getting the blood test done" Sasuke said
"Well this complicates things" Naruto said as he sat back in the booth
"Tell me about it" Sasuke said still not looking up
"We can do this….we can co parent right? I mean people do that all the time" Naruto said trying to find a up side to the situation
"You want to co parent?" Sasuke asked
"Well yeah I'm going to be in my child's life….unless…are you not wanting to keep it?" Naruto asked
"Of course I'm keeping my baby…I just thought with you being with Eyebrows now you would want to start fresh….I'm giving you an out" Sasuke said as he finally looked up at Naruto
"I don't want an out Sasuke! I know that we're not together but I'm going to be here for our baby regardless…I want to go to the doctor appointments, help plan the baby shower..I want to be there for all of it" Naruto said as he grabbed Sasuke's hand
"I'm going to be there for you too you know….we're in this together" he said as he squeezed the ravens hand, Sasuke nodded unable to speak without bursting into tears the two sat there for a few minutes while Sasuke calmed himself down
"Do you have any other pictures? Mom is going to want to frame these" Naruto said
"No but we can go make copies…Tachi is going to want to do the same thing" Sasuke chuckled, he and Naruto walked out of the ramen shop and Naruto's phone rang
"Hey…um yeah I'm kind of busy now why? Oh um let me check and I'll let you know…ok bye" Naruto said as he hung the phone up
"Eyebrows?" Sasuke asked
"Yeah" Naruto said
"Go ahead and go…I'll get the copies made and give them to you later" Sasuke said
"You sure?" Naruto asked
"Yeah..go ahead I'll text you later" Sasuke said
"Thanks Teme" Naruto said as he grinned he started to walk away but suddenly turned around and came back, he hugged Sasuke tightly
"Remember we're in this together….I'm here for the both of you" Naruto whispered into Sasuke's ear he released the hug and began to walk away…Sasuke sighed and went to have copies of the sonogram made once done he made his way home,as soon as he shut the door he let all of his emotions out he dropped to the floor crying. His heart hurt he didn't want this to be how things happened with him and Naruto… pretending to be happy for him and the walking Eyebrow..no he wanted Naruto to be with him, he wanted them to be a family but that just wasn't how it was going to be. Sasuke got off the floor and made it to his room. He put the pictures in his drawer and laid down on the bed. He needed a nap, all of the emotional outburst had drained him, he was going to sleep and he was going to dream of a life that he would never have.
